Kevin Smith: Silent But Deadly (2018)
Honest and Funny Anecdotes
Kevin Smith gives nearly an hour's worth of open and honest stories about his life.
Its funny.
Its honest.
Its simple stand up.
Its simple to enjoy and very funny (Imho) its funny.
Please watch with an open mind. Ignore the low ratings....they don't know what they are saying.
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Nice start then takes a turn, sorry it loses direction
In the first few episodes there are some chilling scenes which gives you the potential for a bit of a horror, but it then deviates and builds up the different characters suggesting a 2nd season...however i just never gets going.
It gives the various characters their back story but it never follows a central or main story long enough to actually appreciate the basis for watching the series.
If this had been a genuine horror or thriller, half the cast would have been killed off and no one would have been wiser.
Credit where credit is due, it has sped up my heart rate several times, goose bumps on goose bumps and anticipation has been raised many times, but just the reason was always never delivered.
Maybe the title is misleading, instead of "haunting" it was just called treachery, or children of Bly Manor or something not suggesting that this was potentially scary or that it was slightly related to the Haunting of Hill House (by the way, its not and Hill House is a lot more tense and scarier).
The best and fairest I could describe this is that its a tense thriller, a suspenseful story but its not the horror its leading you to believe.
