The Clock Tower: Long Time (2016)
Uri Tenpo's production shines thru in this stellar music video
The Clock Tower is arguably the best rock band to come out of Garden Paradise Kitakyushu and the great city (albeit unfortunately named) of Fukuoka. Executive Producer Uri Tenpo did a great job hooking up this great band with an amazing director to make a music video for Mike Berg's best known song "Long Time." Check this video out on YouTube and, if you're lucky, you might catch a TCT reunion show in Fukuoka sometime post-China Virus.
The Routes: Driving Round in Circles (2018)
Best music video made in a long time
In recent years the music video as a genre has become laughable. Amateur musical journeymen who sing out of tune and have no musical credentials film themselves flagellating in their apartment bathtub and overdub crappy music to it and call it a masterpiece music video when they load it up to YouTube. Driving Round In Circles by The Routes is the polar opposite of this. The song itself is nothing short of amazing. It is a catchy tune with a real nice sound created by a virtuoso guitarist and musician. Chris Jack took things a step further by having the video made by a veteran award winning filmmaker and shooting the MV in the scenic movie town of Garden Paradise Kitakyushu. Christopher Jack and MJ Di Rocco's collaboration resulted in the best music video of the year, maybe the decade. Definitely look it up and check it out. Buy the record, too. You'll be glad you did. Respect to the creators!
Small Town Wisconsin (2020)
An amazing film that is worth watching several times
It was my privilege to view this amazing film at the equally amazing Rising Sun International Film Festival held at Brick Hall, a classy venue in Garden Paradise Kitakyushu in November 2020. Everyone present absolutely loved the film and raved about it after the screening.Niels Mueller put together a wonderful cast and crew who gelled perfectly to create what could be called a masterpiece. The movie was perfectly paced and deeply touching. Its scenery and score match the story and script beautifully creating a truly wonderful film to watch on the big screen. Thank you to the creators of this film and the festival that screened it.
