The Croods: A New Age (2020)
Now that's how you do a sequel!
It's a great movie. There where some cringy factors for sure, but overall it's a good sequel. It stays true to it's quirky prequel and at the same time adds refreshing new entertaining elements to the franchise.
The story once again follows the Croods family who are on the lookout for a new home. They find the establishment of the Bettermen family, which are Guys former family. They are smarter and more inventive than the Croods, and as Guy, they have a lot of inventions that are meant to make life easier and better for them. The Bettermen of course have an agenda against the Croods and a conflict evolves between them.
There are some brilliant moments in the film that made me laugh a lot. The movie overall is a bit strange, but that's one of the things that makes it great. There are some elements to the movie that I feel are a bit out of place. They could have probably scrapped the whole idea of the window being a screen and all, felt a bit forced.
I personally liked the movie and I'll give it another watch when I can. It's quirky and fun and it's a great movie for adults and kids alike.
Kill Game (2016)
Lame
Kids must fight of ghost who has come back for revenge. Wow, I have never read a plot like that one before.
I thought the tittle looked good and wanted to give it a try. I did not expect much as the budget is only 5.000.000 USD, but it was much worse than I anticipated The script and acting could all have been better, but it was the overall product that disappointed the most.
There is no originality in the story, just same ol jump scares as you get in any other horror movie. Further, there is much that should have been done differently. Personally, I did not like the costumes and the atmosphere was
You need to give me a reason to pay and watch your movies. Don't just make a movie out of anything. I believe that the movie companies should stop wasting their resources on stuff like this and make some actual good horror movies.
Tomb Raider (2018)
Brilliant
Let me start of by saying that this is a very good movie, so don't let the low score fool ya. Camerawork, music, preformance ect ect. its all good, but the story is in my eyes brilliant.
As an Uncharted fan, I was expecting to see some 'supernatural' action in the movie. So, having Alica Vikander discover what turns out to be a disease instead of a 'death queen' was pretty cool.
I hope to see more movies like this one in the furture.
Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018)
Same ol' story
Virus ruins world. World need a cure. People die. Other People fight. Main character gets laid. Friend dies. Happy end.
This was a disappointing contribution to the series. I read the maze runner books series. When the first Maze Runner movie was released in 2014 I was very excited and sitting in the teacher watching the movie was just great. The crew managed to keep the important parts of the story, and made a awesome movie. So, how come you decided to just drop the original story and fill the movie with this garbage instead?
All the way through I knew what was coming, because there is just nothing. All The Movies Are so similar now Adays.
Darkest Hour (2017)
Superb
I think Joe Wright did a good job of illustrating the conditions in England under the breath of war. There were difficult times while the chaos went on, and England needed a good leader to help them through the "dark hours".
Winston Churchill was a role wonderfully performed by Gary Oldman, and he also won the "Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role" (2018) Oscar. The authors have done a very good job with script, and the story is very well written. That's a good script in combination with a good actor for the role. I also very much like Lily James role as his secretary, Elilzabeth Layton.
Furthermore, the cinematography is very well done. Set and costume design and editing are also good, and I love the sound.
The Belko Experiment (2016)
Typical plot, but a generous serving
The Belko Experiment. Written and produced by James Gunn, and directed by Greg Mclean. The names are not among the most famous in the film industry, but at least Gunn has taken part in the work of several famous films. So, what can you expect?
The movie has a very typical thriller based plot, and after reading the description on Nexflix I was drawn to watching it. The film has good cinematography and sound, and it movies forward quickly. Still, it failed too keep me engaged because of how predictable it is. The acting and preformance was not hte best either. Because of this, the movie comes in the bundle of "basic films" , it doesn't stand out. It wasn't a amazing movie, but still worth my time.
Skyscraper (2018)
A bit thick
I once heard the old saying; 'over all the booties', which comes from the time when traiders used sailboats. If the boat got too much speed, the water would shoot over the edge of their boots. Water over the boot = time to calm down. A little too much exaduration for my taste, a one legged man wouldn't be able to do those things.
The movie is also very predictable, and it didn't take me long to see the outcome.
