Old (2021)
A very original story keeping you at the edge of your seat
The current low rating is completely unwarranted. Amazing cast and top performance, story is very original with a satisfying and surprising ending. Don't believe the haters and give it a try you won't regret it.
Stillwater (2021)
Don't believe the downvotes and trust Matt won't get involved if he didn't believe in the story.
Just watched it and it's a great film. From the Academy Award winning writer of Spotlight. Gripping from the start and Matt Damon did a phenomenal job playing his role. Many people gave it low rating complaining about the ending how we are not getting justice - but this film is not about that at all and I'm so glad the writer didn't fall for the trope. 8/10 and I might bet Matt getting nominated for next year's Oscar.
Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar (2021)
The long lost Austin Powers fun we've been waiting for.
Watched this with zero expectation oh boy we laughed so hard. Did NOT see that hilarious "death-defying" twist coming either. Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo are amazing not a dull moment fun and feel good start till the end. Almost for the first time forever I wish they develop a sequel to this :)
I Care a Lot (2020)
Don't let the other negative reviews fool you - heartwrechingly yet entertaining
This is truly a very brave film. People are giving it negative reviews because they didn't get the satisfying ending they wanted but that's precisely why this film is so great.
The director made a hard choice to create an ending that would haunt you for a while simply IMO just trying to shine a light on a horrifying fact that this film was inspired by true stories (Go watch Netflix Guardians, Inc.). Yes in doing so the director might have created the most hated protagonists along the way and you are holding your breathe for two hours hoping to see the ending you want and in the end you didn't get it so you are pissed off.
Yes without spoiling the story it's a bit of stretch how OP Rosemary Pine is in the final arc, But it doesn't negate the fact that the entire film is wildly entertaining. Go watch and remember to tell your friends to do so after, this legal guardianship thing really needs to be looked into.
Seuwiteuhom (2020)
Stong start ruined by bad CGI and poor performance
The initial setup of the show is quite great. Tension within a apocalyptic confinement. But the moment all the monster shows it kinda ruined everything. CGI looks so fake and backward the original Star Wars might looks better LOL.
Project Power (2020)
This action flick deserves more love
Watched it last night with zero expectation. Don't know what all the hates are about. Very solid entertainment. It starts strong yeah there's a bit of too much exposition and the end fight act was a bit lagging but overall very intriguing concept and solid fun dialogue. Totally great movie night entertainment.
Unhinged (2020)

- NEVER HORN AT A PICK UP TRUCK
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
corny af stay away unless you are a hardcore Wonder Woman fan
Starting off 7, then bad editing pushes it down to 5, just when I thought it couldn't get worse, Chris pine came in the bad acting OMG and the ending is so corny why would you allow this director to keep making movie?
Soul (2020)
Are you telling the black/minority comunities to give up and accept their fates?
I find it very patronizing. This is pretty much saying "don't push yourself too hard", "enjoy the little things" then "you'll feel much better about your life". Are you kidding me? We live in a society where the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer, racial/social injustice, climate crisis the list goes on and on. And you are telling people to feel good about where they are and just "enjoy the little things" and "you don't need a purpose"?
The Last Narc (2020)
Oscar Winning if this is a feature
The most astonishing mini documentary I've seen for a long time. Well done Amazon Prime!
Devs (2020)
Alex Garland's great story ruined by an bad actress
The story is very enthralling and extra credit for the very original excellent score/music. The only downside is Sonoya Mizuno's performance as Lily Chan is so cringe-worthy it's becoming the major distraction. The only worse acting that I can remember is from that little boy from Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino.
