Deep Burial (2017)
Great potential |Terrible Flop
I enjoy a good sci-fi movie and had some time to spare so I gave this movie a try. It started out great and had tremendous potential, but it turned out to be a terrible flop. The graphics are decent and sci-fi tech is good, but the plot is lacking and the acting is sub-par. The end, well, I'll leave you to figure that out. Be sure to watch through the credits a bit.
Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005)
Went in with a bias, came out smiling...
I read some of the reviews on this website and went to see the movie with a little bias, but left pleasantly surprise. The Barker family is undergoing major changes, as many in the family are growing up and seeking a life of their own, apart from the family. As an attempt to regain some form of togetherness, Tom and Kate decide to take the family on a trip to the Lake where they had spent many great times as a family in the past. The family is tested when Tom's competitiveness with another family, causes him to act as a coach and not as father. Toward the end of the movie, the family is falling apart, but is miraculously pulled together by an expected, yet unexpected, event which causes them to see what family is really all about. Pros: This is a family oriented movie with no strong language and one or two slightly suggestive scenes and lots of humor (but some to predictable). Cons: They do not do a good job of catching you up on the years between where they ended the first movie, and began the second. I was not impressed with Hilary Duffs performance and she definitely was not the star of this movie. Look for an unlikely star this go around, and you will be pleasantly surprised to find out who it is. See this movie, it present every day life situations and how to handle them and yes how not to.
