Turning Point: 9/11 and the War on Terror (2021)
Incomplete and and one-sided the last 3 of 5 episodes.
Being Swedish and watched it in Sweden I really liked the first two episodes. A good historical picture of it all. The next rest 3 episodes where unfortunately only politics, which I understand. I never liked Bush nor Blairs decision to attack Iraq and was against it. It's also portrayed that Bush was a bad man. But what about Obama? He was just as bad but it was more or less washed out. Why. And why have only journalists from one political side like New York Times and Washington Post being interviewed.
I must say that even I read NYT in Sweden, but I so want a balance and more voices. Not only that of the directors stand. The last segment whas a Muslim imam utterly: Islam is Peace. I fell of the chair, even if it was, it's a direct disrespect to those who died in 9/11. What in heavens name did the maker of this production think? Irony? Then it tasted bad. Also I was hoping for more time of how Trump and ultimately Biden handled this, and I never understood the congresswoman, was it because to say "I told you so"? What was the point?
Lastly, even if the majority of the forces where American, why not give a voice to so many other nations that contributed in Afghanistan and Iraq. This is why I feel it's a very incomplete and extremely biased production especially the last 3 episodes.
You (2018)
Okay for a hangover.
Well, Well as 97% like other shows. White privilege bla bla, and all you can throw in of political correctness before even starting the script. Aren't there any bald people in this business anymore that could actually stay away from nonsense. We know this by now.
The series started off pretty good, nice set and a great character, Joe, but as usual after halfway you will know what will happen most of the time, but it had some twists. Since I finished the first season I had to see the next one. Oh boy was that a mistake. Nothing new, slow, boring and wasted time. I'm a male 50+ and I guess it will suit for a much younger generation or my elderly mom.
Clickbait (2021)
Everything above 2 is a joke.
Can't believe the ratings on this are 7.4 right now. This was really bad, like in bad acting, production, etc. The idea was OK but the budget was probably very tight.
El caso Alcàsser (2019)
Almost gave 8
This was an interesting documentary and a bit different from what I've seen here in Sweden since most are american productions. My rating of 2 is based on the ending. I don't understand what #metoo has to do with all these years documenting an otherwise interesting and at the same time brutal and hideous murders. It's almost being insulting to all people involved and in the end including the viewers.
All Creatures Great & Small (2020)
A great remake of already a beautiful tv series.
I grew up in the 70s and it was also televised here in Sweden. I loved it then as I love it now. I really wish it could run as long as possible since it's one of the rare series that I just can enjoy any day and any time. It will always give me a smile and warmth in my heart.
Jojo Rabbit (2019)
Went to sleep after 20 minutes.
Hopefully this movie will be interesting for a 10 year old. So much banality and where's the comedy? I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
La Révolution (2020)
Waste of time
Nothing to add which already hasn't been said. If you're between 8 and 15 years old you may enjoy it, and if you're in to vampire stories. For me it was sad waste of time unfortunately.
