Sweet Magnolias (2020)
Soooo bad ..
Type of person who should watch this- Christian, can't tolerate hearing a curse word, thinks all women need to procreate, enjoys insanely mundane dialogue, probably a baby boomer
Everyone else- Don't
Selling Sunset (2019)
Grown Women Acting Like Teens
Wanted to watch this show for the houses, ended up watching what looks like middle age women with a lot of plastic surgery say nasty things about each other.
Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost (1999)
Wiccan Thumbs Up
I'm a Wiccan and this movie was one of my childhood favorites. It portrayed modern day witches in a good light. I can't wait to have my future kid watch it someday. :)
Ugly Delicious (2018)
Wanted To Like It, Very Dissapointed
I usually enjoy cooking shows, this one left me rather put off. I got to episode five and turned it off after they were talking about an Asian man being a pioneer in having relations with white women, then immediately compared him to Rosa Parks for doing so. That was in really poor taste and highly disrespectful toward someone who did so much for the black community.
Apart from that, it wasn't what I thought. It wasn't a blending of all cultures, it seemed like he wanted all the "American" food to essentially be more Asian. New Orleans has a deep rooted history and so much culture in its food. He wanted to change New Orleans food to be more Vietnamese which looked like it visibly just confused the natives on his show because he's trying to throw their tradition out the window, or at least alter it to where it doesn't make sense for them. New Orleans is a blending in itself of different styles of food, why not focus on that..
Extremely political, you may or may not agree with his politics but the thing that got me with this was I came here to watch a cooking show... And you may get really bothered by the current political scene but do you want to worry about it when you're trying to relax? For some of us the political climate does directly affect us, but we don't want to be focusing on that while watching a cooking show.
