Doctor Who: Flux: Chapter Six - The Vanquishers (2021)
Just... Not fun
It feels like it was just trying to tie all loose ends, no excitement at all, nothing was surprising or in any significant way engaging, I waa rly rooting for this new experiment w DW, but I think now I'd rather see it done tbe right way by someone else.
Hopefully soon..
Doctor Who: Flux: Chapter Five - Survivors of the Flux (2021)
Too much exposition, but very lackluster in terms of excitement
This could've been an episode where I am on the edge of my seat throughout all of it, but it felt like reading a novel.
A lot of exposition, so little meaningful action, follows a very very boring journey for most of it, w some supbar humour sprinkled in.
BoJack Horseman: The Face of Depression (2019)
Best episode ever
Mr. PB finally gets his crossover episode, this is amazing
Doctor Who: The Timeless Children (2020)
Oh, blimey
I was so excited for the darn episode, and was left asking, what did we gain?
Did the rewriting of the whole history change anything? No
Was only having a child experimented on and meddling with some histories that great of a fu**in sin for a whole planet? No
Was having some of the doctor's DNA in the Master, that big of a deal to make him convert this way from Missy, torch his planet, and want to destroy the whole universe? No
Who tf is Ko Sharmus? No answer
How did we blow the Cybership? We just did
Can we stop calling the companions fam? Absolutely not
Can we get any more info about the gateway Tecteun found the doctor on? Not this episode, and probably Chibnall would forget about it
Can we make the ending a cliche cliffhanger like 3 people asked? Absolutely, why not?
Doctor Who: Ascension of the Cybermen (2020)
Very good episode, shrouded by too much mystery.
This 2 parter is seemingly going to change a bad change to the timelords backstory, and leaves too much for the finale. I really don't want humans to be the timelords. It had some pacing issues, and filling time with jokes. It would've been perfect if they paced it faster, paid off at least a little thing, and had Captain Jack, because where the heck is he?
Doctor Who: The Haunting of Villa Diodati (2020)
Best Chibnall episode yet.
Amazing writing and progressing, really stuck The landing on the horror part, and the comedic part. Very happy this wasn't just a standalone episode. Really liked the Cyberman, but not so sure about the storyline from here. Finally some good Doctor vibes, and amazing speeches. Excited about the last 2 episodes, and really want to see Jack appear again.
Doctor Who: Can You Hear Me? (2020)
Very bad writing and execution, also why the heck aren't they continuing ep5's arc?!
It started very cliche Hollywood cash grab horror movie style with the monsters and all, then we have quite a good very interesting mystery on our hands, with the companions characters getting more depth by their interactions w/ family/friends which was nice, to be then ruined by the character design of the immortals, the very overused dialogue about humans being good, strong, etc., And the villians which had a decent build up and terrific potential getting defeated in 2 seconds was so underwhelming also, they being immortals and want to pass time by killing people is so cliche this would've been an excellent 2 parter if they did it well, and it isn't like they didn't have time, and, they had like 8 mins talking mental health, which some of was quite nice ngl, but overall a very disappointing episode. Now, the other thing, seeing only snippets of the man arc like with the timeless child, is exhaustingly frustrating, and they could've let the immortals in on the subject they are immortals, they know a thing or two.
Doctor Who: Praxeus (2020)
Just OK, nothing very interesting.
Story is quite bland, use of companions were surprisingly very good. The virus was so, so, so revolting and gross I wanted to poke my eyeballs out, It looked like growing some exoskeletons and then breaking, It was horrifying. It had a little bit of the preachy (orphan 55) attitude but just a little, which is not so bad. It was more educational than fun, which I didn't really enjoy, like how much plastic, bla bla bla, and that alien Tsuki I think searched the galaxies to find a plastic infested planet, and it was earth, seems like a stretch and not good at all for the plot. I am not against educational messaged me or calls to action, but they really need to make it more subtle, so as It doesn't affect the plot badly.
Sex Education: Episode 5 (2020)
Stretching the story a bit much, aren't we?
Dragging it with Maeve, and and Otis. Dragging it with Eric and Adam. Not amusing just frustrating
Sex Education: Episode 1 (2020)
A casual getting back together episode, yet, extremely uncomfortable
It had noting really new, but was excruciatingly uncomfortable at times, and they really should tune down a little. Overall, nothing special.
Silicon Valley: Exit Event (2019)
A sad heartwarming finale
Usually when a comedy show tries to end it with a deep, sad end they really really mess it up, however, when jt comes to this finale they really did s good job.
I can't really say that I wouldn't have rather to see the Pied Piper team win because I did, but, this finale presented us with the ultimate sad truth about the unlucky Richard Hendricks.
It was a well made emotional finale that such an amazing show deserved.
JoJo no Kimyô na Bôken (2012)
Best, most fun anime ever!!!
It has one of the best plots, a bizarre story with totally changing tactics and art style.
It can be emotional, and very sad at times, and very happy at others.
It has the best anime villian in za warudo(DIO) and all other villians are also amazing.
It offers a story that is spread across many eras however, it never fails in going back to it's root.
It also has the best anime openings ever 10 openings that yoou can't put one under the other.
It is just majestic
Black Mirror: Smithereens (2019)
Pretty much a perfect episode!
The only thing that did not complete my satisfaction with this episode is the lack of addressing the immediate aftermath of jimmy getting shot.
Otherwise, perfect episode.
