God's Forgotten House (2005)
A very fine and nuanced independent drama

A heartfelt and uncompromising treatment of a subject not often addressed, God's Forgotten House sports an insightful script about the perils and pinnacles of coming to terms with one's own demons and affecting a positive change in a world that sometimes does not welcome it. One of the treats of the story is director Justin Golding's handling of the child actors, a refreshing surprise, as well as a strong lead cast featuring N'Bushe Wright and Curtis Nysmith in strong and nuanced performances. Resisting the urge for flashy visuals, the film instead treats its actors and its story with a quiet dignity drawing the viewer in and insisting on a commitment to the progression of its characters. A powerful and worthwhile story well told.
