La casa de papel: La deriva (2019)
Good season.
Good season. The cinematography is on point, the acting, strong and the story, even if at times is a little repetitive and formulaic, is so gripping that I stayed awake all night until I finished it. Also, the Argentine "Palermo" is a fine add to the team. This is the best season of La casa de papel to date, for sure. Can't wait for season 4!
The Sinner: Part VIII (2018)
Good season
Good season, with a lot of twists and entertainment. I loved the acting (mainly that of Bill Pullman) and the photography. The only thing I didn't like was that it all ended up being some kind of How I Met Your Mother with disturbing scenes.
Daredevil: A New Napkin (2018)
What?
This episode feels too rushed and doesn't make much sense. I was hoping to get a different ending (less predictable and anticlimactic), but they give us more of the same thing. However, it's a pretty watchable show, and it entertained me for the most part.
The Haunting of Hill House: Silence Lay Steadily (2018)
Gut-wrenching, a near perfect episode
Yes, there are many bad dialogs in this episode, I can see that. But this chapter is full of so much pain and deepness and emotion that I don't care. I just watched an absolutely well crafted work of art, beautifully done, that not only copes with horrors, but also with family and hope, secrets and death, solitude and love. The Haunting of Hill House starts as an amazing horror story and ends up as an emotional and heartbreaking journey towards redemption, and that, in my opinion, is the best way to tell a story, the only way. We create stories, yes, but I also believe the same goes the other way around: stories create us, form us, enrich us. This series is fantastic. One of the best I've ever watched. 10/10.
BoJack Horseman: Free Churro (2018)
Wow.
Amazing. This is, so far, the best BoJack Horseman episode. Fantastic work of art. A moving and heartbreaking portrayal of loss, regret, and family. In an unique and sincere exploration of what makes us human, BoJack delivers a speech that engulfs life and death, solitude and heartbreak. Because, at the end of the day, don't we all want someone to just look directly at our eyes and say "I see you"? Only that. Maybe that's all that matters.
BoJack Horseman: The Light Bulb Scene (2018)
Solid season 5 debut!
Pretty solid first chapter. I don't laugh often with TV shows, but this first episode of season 5 made me laugh a lot. BoJack Horseman never ceases to amaze me. Great dialogue and pacing, good image for an animated series, and very good jokes. I think season five will be fantastic. I hope it gets even better. Bah, I'm sure it will.
Better Call Saul: Something Beautiful (2018)
Powerful episode.
I think it's pretty clear that things are warming up for something shocking. The last moments of this episode are one of the best I have seen on TV. Stunning job, extraordinarily series. Pure art.
El ángel (2018)
Perfect.
The pacing, the acting, the writing, the direction, everything: amazing. An Argentine masterpiece I recommend you all to go watch it. I don't want to rise expectations too high, but 'The Angel' is my favorite film of the year so far.
Final Space: Chapter Ten (2018)
One of the best animated series!
Funny, visually stunning, and heartbreaking. Amazing series. I can't wait for season 2!
