Choose or Die (2022)
Unexpected fun
I had no idea what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Some of the acting was lacking but I thought it was interesting and did put me on edge a little which is nice.
The Batman (2022)
The funniest movie I have seen this year
Where to begin with the atrocity that was "The Batman"? Trying not to laugh in a cinema full of people was extremely challenging. This entire bore fest probably could have been cut down to 20 minutes and I still wouldn't have enjoyed it. Every character was so boring with zero charm and I felt like I could have walked out at any moment and not cared at all about the resolution. The casting was questionable and the choice for the riddler was the best riddle yet (I can see a lot of memes coming).
So if you like slow paces, overdone music, paper-thin characters and wanting to gouge your own eyes out with a melon baller, watch this film. You could not pay me to have to sit through that monstrosity again.
The batmobile was cool though.
The Lion King (2019)
I liked it but it also had a lot of negatives.
My biggest issue is the voice acting for scar. It sounded like he was literally reading from the script and couldn't visualise any interactions.
Another major issue was the timing for when Nala and simba were reunited. It was cut way too short and the can you feel the love tonight song was misplaced an f didn't fit the scenes.
The new relationship between timon and pumba was refreshing and welcomed though.
