Velma (2023)
As a 57 year old.
I watched scooby doo and every version that has been made but it was obvious this show was going to have next to nothing in common with the original. And that is spot on. I actually watched the first 8 episodes the last couple days and was thinking this was better than a lot of the animated shows out right now. I came here to look up how many more episodes were still to come, and I was pretty shocked at the rating. It has decent animation, decent storylines, pretty solid production, and decent voice acting. There are a few refrences to the original here and there to keep the scooby vibe going. All I can figure is the low ratings thought this was gonna be a 100% remake of scooby doo.
Resident Evil (2022)
Many of the bad reviews are by people that seem to have not even watched the show.
This series is no classic, but it is certainly entertaining. I feel like a bunch of people got paid from another streaming site to trash this series. Even on rotten tomatoes it is hovering above 50%, which is actually pretty decent, considering their ratings are only by profesional movie critics. The story, acting, effects, and overall production are all pretty decent. There is zero actual horror, but there are lots of creatures and attacks and blood etc, but it is done more in the vein of "the thing" than the first resident evil.
Clickbait (2021)
A great murder mystery.
I don't have a lot to add to the other reviews. What I can say is the acting by everyone is absolutely top notch. Phoenix Raei and Zoe Kazan along with most of the supporting cast were brilliant. It is really worth a watch.
Horror in the High Desert (2021)
Honest review
It would appear that a lot of fake reviews are here. The movie was VERY slow and dull. There was no mystery to the ending. Definitely no sequel is going to happen. But I did give it a 5 because the last 20 minutes actual were pretty creepy. I suggest skimming the first hour in 5 or 10 minutes, and then just watch the last 20.
Fear Street: 1994 (2021)
This movie is horrible.
It is bad in almost every way. BUT, it still has enough cheese to make it a worthwhile film to see on a slow night.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
It is fun.
Do you care about the characters and root for them? Yes
Decent acting? Yes
Good effects? Yes
Lots of action? Hell yeah.
Does the science back it all up? Not really, but who cares?
No awards will be won, but still a great movie to watch.
Breach (2020)
Think of "The Room"
This movie is so bad it has to be going for the cult classic agenda. The acting, the effects, the script, the science, and truly everything about this film is just horrible.
I will give you an example. "I am going to give you exactly 10 seconds to come clean. FIVE, FOUR, "
