Unrealistic, full of cliches, annoying super hero agenda...
3 April 2021
I love medical/hospital dramas and was hooked on "Nurse Jackie" back in the day, so I was excited when I started watching this one, but not for long. After a few episodes I got tired of the main character's face, which takes 90 % of the screen time, and the whole concept of a Jesus like figure walking the hospital's hallways followed by disciples and preaching all the time with a hipster's naiveté. On top, the script writers had to overload this, already unrealistic figure with a terminal desease and a pregnant wife! This is too much and the family happiness scenes, which seem to be taken straight from some detergent comercial, were even more annoying than the ones in the hospital, where a super hero Max participates in every medical procedure (what is his field or specialty anyway? He seems to be an expert in all of them), solves any administrative problem by either dismissing it or offering some absurd way out, and, does the HR work by firing or hiring anybody he pleases at any moment.

In fact, most of the doctors in this series are around 30 years old (like they graduated from medical school just yesterday), but they occupy chairs, deans positions and perform super complicated surgeries - all the merits doctors and scientists usually have after being in the field at least for a couple of decades. You need experience to get there!

The script is full of cliche twists which makes plots' developments very predictable. I wish this show didn't have a main character, but rather multiple protagonists who's lives intercross in this hospital. There are many films and series based on this type of narrative structure. And there are characters in this show which have potential but don't get much development since we have to see the spiritual leader and a super hero Max dominating almost every single scene...

Uninteresting, unwatchable, not cinema...:(
12 July 2020
I was perplexed by the fact that Netflix even considered these "short films" for showing to the general public!! This is a bunch of home video footage, which lacks everything what cinema must have. No narrative, no message, no editing, no decent camera work, no creativity, and no acting! The domesticity of some sequences made me uncomfortable at times. People are making much better videos on youtube. This is an embarrassment for a short film genre:( And these videos say nothing about what this pandemic has been for all of us.

Unwatchable
20 January 2019
Turned off after 20 min. So bad it is...The actors are overacting, the plot is not engaging at all, the settings are unrealistic and the special effects are very annoying. How can people seriously make such films? Waste of money and viewers attention...

Season 1 is great, but the 2d season ruined the series:(
19 November 2018
When watching the 1st season I was hooked and very happy that something decent has come out. But season 2 was a big dissapointment:( Each line ended in a very unlikely and even cheesy way. And, the whole plot is quite unrealistic...How is it possible that 2 uneducated thugs make their way into Hollywood through assault and extortion without anybody taking any measures? Why did none of the attacked actors, producers or agents ever go to the police? And why would people even deal with these "producers" if they are completely unprofessional and know nothing about filmmaking? This seems strange and by the end of the season 2 we see one of the gangsters, enjoying family life and becoming an actor's agent! This guy is a murderer and is almost illiterate with a very low IQ, snapping at everybody and killing every other person. What was the message the script writers wanted to convey? The other protagonist enjoying recognition for his "genious" movie in prison also seems vanilla... Must say that Amara de Escalones has been a great character throughout both seasons! Thank you, Lidia Porto for great acting!:)

Great concept and very informative, but the hosts are ruining the show:(
30 September 2018
I've watched the show since I loved the sights and the houses they visit, and I would have never known or seen anything like that in real life. Because of my interest and fascination with the places they show, I had to bear with terribly unnatural, unprofessional, non photogenic and annoying hosts...The woman is much worse than the man, but the two lack chemistry whatsoever...It is not the first time when a British tv show with substantial and interesting content is loosing points because of its presenters. Who chose them and why? I can't believe there were no better candidates at the audition...

Terrible hosts!!:(
26 November 2017
The show itself is a great project and the places they go to are amazing! I enjoy watching and learning about people's original approach to the hospitality business. However, the hosts are absolutely awful!! These two shouldn't be on TV at all. Zero charisma, idiotic jokes, don't know how to behave or move on camera, can't make a single insightful comment on anything, except when they are reading some info from some source about the place. They look like two 40 years old high school kids which are not the brightest ones... They are extremely annoying and unprofessional and seem to never have gotten any training for being TV hosts. I don't know how they have been chosen for this show (connections?), but they are spoiling it entirely. I hope that in season 2 their faces won't be there anymore.
