Born and Raised in NYC. Melinda was fortunate enough to have a bohemian upbringing in both Greenwich Village and later Queens NY. The music influences of the 1980’s club scene and the Urban DJ influences in Queens created a deep knowledge of music of all genres . From Folk and Honky Tonk music cafe’s in the 70’s with her parents to the Alternative and early Hip Hop scene of Danceteria in the 80’s to The Tunnel and and Limelight of the 90’s her years passing records to the DJ’s helped launch her career in Hollywood in 1999.
Having the knowledge without real connections she landed at MTV and held her seat during the early 00’s as Music Supervisor on groundbreaking reality shows MTV launched to define the genre. Including Emmy Award winning The Osbourne’s. Currently still in Music licensing and most recently podcasts Melinda is currently working on her project “Eyenoize “ where all of her musical worlds and years of curating art and tracks will collide.

The Orphan King (2005)
Private viewing in LA and still waiting for the premiere
28 April 2024
I was fortunate to see a screening with Andrew and some of his friends in LA. I really enjoyed the film and soundtrack.
As a fellow NYC kid from the 80's it was very well done in my opinion. Great locations and interiors of Uptown NYC kids looking for a rush. Drugs usually are involved. But the relationships are key in this film.
His temp soundtrack was awesome and I'm sure super pricey.
I think it could still be released 20 years later and "hold up" since it is a "period" piece.
I think he can release it on Netflix or Amazon have them pay for the basics.
It left a major impression on me and I really wanted to see it hit the big screen sooner than 2024.
