A minor blooper.
8 April 2023
When watching The Adventures of Robin Hood with Errol Flynn in his green leotard. But the 1991 Robin Hood Prince of Thieves portrays a different scenario we see Robin Hood in the Holy Land and is about to have his hand chopped off. But on their escape they emerge the sewer drain through a manhole cover. Now I ask you in 800 yrs when do we see manhole covers you don't they where never invented. But the film still remains one of the best and the most recognisable soundtrack of all time which spent 13 weeks in the charts. What is so strange is updated Robin Hood are no where near as good as Costner.

Poor
20 June 2021
Angela Bassett (Tina Turner) as Director of this film. Granted she got Yaya DaCosta to play Whitney Houston and Arlen Escarpeta as Bobby Brown the only thing wrong with the film was the lip sync to her songs it just didn't go together.

So many flaws
31 May 2021
In the opening scene we are to think we are in a London superb but here's were the first mistake is street lighting is wrong the buildings are totally wrong. The film itself tries to mimic the video game in very bad taste. The next mistake is with the girl he puts in the boot of the Audi her tattoo some how moves from left side to her right side then as he sits down in front of her we notice it has gone back to the left side this is why filmmakers who try to bring the video game to the screen fail.

Which do I prefer 1 or 2
23 May 2021
The question is debatable which is the best Total Recall for me it has to be Schwarzenegger why! He stands alongside Sharon Stone, Ronny Cox and Michael Ironside so the original always is the best.

A films intensions is not to disappoint you and this is what you have with Den of Thieves, Gerard Butlers character Big Nick O'Brien and his team try to get one step ahead of the Bank Robbery crew managed by Ray Merrimen (Pablo Schreiber) who's intensions is to steal from the federal Reserve Bank and you will not be disappointed it's gripping from start to finish.

Never ages and still the best film of 1968
16 May 2021
When you bring together an author's book and a cast such as Richard Burton,Clint Eastwood,Mary Ure, Patrick Wymark, Michael Hordern, Donald Houston,Peter Barkworth, Robert Beatty and who couldn't forget Anton Diffring, Darren Nesbitt you have the makings of a timeless classic.

A bit OTT
2 May 2021
Here's flight 42 a commercial aircraft suddenly out of nowhere a cloud vortex suddenly emerges drawing them through and come out on the other side with no clue of what's just happened. As luck would have it we have two historical society people who just happen to be on that flight can identifie the aircraft, landmarks plus the year. They find themselves playing cat and mouse trying desperate to get out of the vortex and suddenly with the help of a young Nigel Sheffield as the radio operator on the ground they find it and emerge from the cloud on vapours and touchdown at Berlin airport only for the captain of flight 42 is suddenly confronted with the older Nigel Sheffield. The film itself is a bit far fetched to say the least.

So wrong what where they thinking
1 May 2021
I've played the game of BloodRayne and BloodRayne 2 and I must say the game is far better. The down side is Ben Kingsley as Kagen was very poor could they have chosen some one better to play the role, the acting in all 3 films was so bad and the storyline wasn't upto scratch. I would recommend to play the video game much more exciting.

One of the best films Ryan O Neal (The Cowboy) versus Bruce Dern (The Cop) who is obsessed in nailing him. One of the best scenes from the film is where you see him destroy a Mercedes-Benz in the car park and what emerges is fit for the Scarp yard.

Brilliant
18 April 2021
For a film that's 50 yrs old Get Carter 1971 will still be the best. Caine's role of Jack Carter a Londoner who travels to the North East to find answers to his brothers death only to be shot at Blackhall beaches. But jump to 2000 and Stallone's version a very poor remake and one of his worst with a rating of just 11% Rotten tomatoes compared to 84% for the original it just seems that older films can still be the best.

Fact or Fiction

A most enjoyable film but the question still remains do we believe this happened or is it just glamourised like every other film that tells the story of Christ.

A good film

Here we have Wild Geese teams up with the Dirty Dozen in attempt to set free the Italian Dictator while tunneling but are captured and sent to the same prison.

Mickey Rooney puts on a very poor Irish accent. Ralf Vallone before his role as a maffia boss in the Italian Job plays a good part as the Italian rebal.

Medal of honour meets The Return to Castle Wolfenstein. A group of soldiers have a mission to blow up a radio jamming equipment inside the church but they are thwarted by other distractions such as inhuman specimens that resist been shot at but only fire will be there downfall a very good film kept you on the edge of your seat all the time.

The story is all wrong
4 April 2021
I'm just trying to get my head around this story of Mary Magdalene and the conclusion is how do we know this happened did she help with childbirth as it's portrayed in this film also because she brought disrespect to the family she was punished by drowning to get rid of her demons but do we know if this happened and can we be sure that Hollywood has not just glamourised it like King of Kings and The Greatest Story Ever Told. Joaquin phoenix as Jesus Christ comes across poor. As for the rest Rooney mara was better in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Chiwetel Ejiofor good in 12 years a Slave. And this is what is wrong with films that Hollywood produce how do we know if Jesus Christ was White this is the script that film producers show.

A True Classic
3 April 2021
If you want a classic Brit film then the Cruel Sea is one of the finest with Jack Hawkins, Donald Sinden, Stanley Baker, Denholm Elliott and many more aboard the Compass Rose who are on convoy duties. This would be in my Top Ten of British Classic Films.

Arnie at his best
28 March 2021
If you want a movie that gives you constant action from start to finish then True Lies ticks all the boxes. James Cameron put the perfect cast together, there is one little down side to this when Tom Arnold stands behind the the lamp post and Art Malik fires off the rounds how could he have not hit him but for a movie that's 27yrs old you never get tired.

Of all the best films Cage has done. Pay the Ghost is by far his worst with a rating of just 10% in the rotten tomatoes one can understand why his career has dried up.

This is the second time I have watched this and the music to accompany is absolutely fantastic. Edgar Wright put together a strong cast and to make the film even better was the cars Subaru Impreza WRX really stole the show.

By The Power of Failure
21 March 2021
Of all the films 1987 Masters of the Universe budget of 22 million only managed to pull in at the Box office 17.3 million. A truly low budget Martel must have been kicking themselves to let Cannon Films produce it. Dolph Lundgren as He- Man Frank Langella as Skeleton with his latex skull Meg Foster as Evil-Lyn. Trying to reproduce the comics and TV series alongside the merchandise of toys tells you they were more successful than the movie but yet the more time's its shown on TV over the years it's laughable and has become a cult classic.

Not one of his best
14 March 2021
We have seen better films with Clint but Firefox clearly is one of his worst. It's laughable to watch well known british actors trying to talk russian and poor Clint has to think Russian to fly a supersonic plane. Once we're in the air you get a sense that Hollywood used cheap little toys and poor CGI all thrown in.
