Yes Day (2021)
Loved it - and I'm and adult
I've seen reviews saying that this is not for adults and just a kids movie and I see where that's coming from but I honestly really liked this movie. It's a fun movie if you're just looking for a light hearted film that doesn't take itself too seriously. And I think the actors did a great job. Jennifer Garner is lovable as always.
The Wrong Missy (2020)
Couldn't keep watching
Couldn't bring myself to finish watching this movie. It's annoying and just cringeworthy. The female lead was just over the top obnoxious. Maybe this gets better in the second half of the film but I won't waste any more time on this.
Knives Out (2019)
So worth it
One of the best films I've seen in a long time. Don't usually go to the movies a lot but going for this one was so worth it. Great laughs, great suspense and great actors.
The Kissing Booth (2018)
Loved it
Really enjoyed this movie. Cute story and very entertaining. Better than a lot of other high school romcoms.
Astérix: Le domaine des dieux (2014)
Fun and entertaining
I love the old Asterix films and this one really took me back. It made me laugh quite a bit. It's a great mixture of th original Asterix and Obelix spirit mixed with some more modern jokes and references.
A Cinderella Story (2004)
Enjoyed this more than I expected
I did not expect much from this movie and mostly watched it because I just wanted a light hearted film that I didn't have to think too much about. And I was pleasantly surprised by it. Of course it's not the most profound and it's also kind of predictable but it's just a cute feel-good movie that is fun to watch. I really liked Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray and the chemistry between them.
My Best Friend's Wedding (1997)
Not sure what the point was
I love Julia Roberts and I wanted to like this movie so badly. But her character is just not likable and at the end you don't even want her to get the guy. So in that respect the ending was the only one that made sense. On the other hand he wasn't really that likable either..
It kind of annoys me that nothing really changed throughout the movie. Her situation in the beginning is the same as in the end. He doesn't even once really doubt his feelings about his fiancé and ends up marrying her. So what really was the point of it all?
I give it 7 stars because of the actors and their great performances - especially Julia Roberts. And because it was entertaining. But I have to say I did expect more from this movie since I've always been told that it's a classic and a must-see.
Falling Inn Love (2019)
Nice light-hearted movie
Out of all the cheesy Netflix movies this is actually one of the better ones. I quite enjoyed it. Just don't take everything too seriously and you'll get a nice light-hearted movie.
Christmas Wedding Planner (2017)
Wasted my time
Must be one of the worst movies I've even seen. I usually really enjoy cheesy Christmas movies but not this one. The script was bad and everything and everyone just seemed so exaggerated. I kind of liked the lead actress and the movie has one or two cute scenes. But the conversations feel so staged and so many things just don't make sense at all and are just plain unrealistic.
