They are not hurting him?
31 August 2021
I thought it went too simple into the exploration of sharks and their nature. And in one part they said they werent hurting the shark captured just to show on the program, even if they show you how it is upside down with the hook crossing his skin. Too horrible to see.

Teenage Matilda
1 March 2020
The series is based on a comic of the same name. Which although it is very interesting, does not have the same depth and essence that the series manages to give the story. And I grant that and I thank the Netflix platform, which is turning everything Gold touches, giving birth to stories that are not very popular and showing them to all its subscribers. This has been the case of series like The Umbrella Academy, The end of the F World, Locke and Key, among others that are also very well done and I highly recommend it.

Although the concept has already been used several times. In stories like Carrie, Matilda or Chronicle, where young students discover that they have Telekinesis (the ability to move objects with the mind). The series is very aware of everything that has been done before and tries to be as original as possible, especially in the case of Carrie, where I think it has more influence, and takes it even to deceive you and take you on a different path to what has already been seen before. It is true that Teen Dramas have a lot of tendency, and Netflix knows it, from Sex education, to Stranger Things, and although it remains a recurring theme in its series, each one has a way of portraying its original vision, and this is not the exception.

The series is composed of 7 short episodes of approximately 20 minutes each, and although it seems little, it has the necessary duration so that this first season does not feel forced, which although it can be run with a duration of 2 hours 13 minutes, at Just like a movie. The episodes serve to separate it and have a subplot for each one. As if it were a comic of several volumes. In addition, this helps the series have a single director for all episodes, and this gives a feeling of naturalness, where the story can maintain the same tone throughout its entirety without feeling forced.

The direction carried out by Jonathan Entwistle is very good, it can be seen a lot in photography, which has a proper aspect ratio for television and that in many scenes, accompanied by the brilliant performance of Sophia Lillis, feels tense and fills you with anxiety. Although it is not like that all the time, because it can be very well directed and executed, but the script sometimes has several ups and downs, where the dialogues are very clichés or feel a bit forced.

I liked the tone that drives the series, I felt very real, and although it is a supernatural plot, the story feels raw on many occasions, as well as funny on others, could be defined as a black humor, but very close to reality. It is noted that the creators wanted to do a good job, and that they did it for the love of art.

Finally, the characters are very endearing, at least the main ones and which the series focuses on; They have a very good construction and make you worry about them. At first I did not have much faith, and I felt that I would be very forced to have 2 IT actors on screen, even more when one is called Stanley in both; But I was surprised, because they are totally different characters, and Sophia Lillis's performance is very credible.

In conclusion the series has some dialogues that do not feel so natural. But, the history, the direction, and the execution in general is unique, it has a heart, and the end will leave you wanting to be able to advance the time until the next season.

How to get scared about something you can't see
1 March 2020
After a failed attempt by Universal to create a shared Universe of Monsters that began with the Mummy in 2017. This second attempt comes to return the stories of iconic horror characters, and it is an unexpected success.

This is the second film by director Leigh Whannell, which began with the underrated jewel of Upgrade, which in my opinion is very good, but not well known on this side of the world. Still, Universal seems to have seen potential, and thus man turns the franchise into his own.

The commercial horror movie industry is often very generic, they are simple plots with cheap and not well crafted jump scares. So how to scare you with a movie about something that can't scream in your face? The answer is simple; A good script, a good direction, and the performance of Elizabeth Moss.

The script creates situations, which although they may seem few, are very well built to achieve the necessary impact on the audience, and they grow as the story progresses, to reach a strong outcome, as well as one of the best Directed scenes of the movie. and that shows that the director can offer much more. This, with the credible performance of the main actress; his expressions, his way of moving and the appearance she brings. Give a tone of anxiety and anguish to the film, which make you feel that the threat is real and at the same time, to imagine that in that empty space there is someone watching you.

The proposal of the story is different from all the previous adaptations of the character, and it is very interesting to see in this new installment. It becomes original for the entire duration of the movie, and shows us a very frequent theme in our society, about power-hungry controlling men, and adds an invisible one.

Photography, also very well done, has movements that cover a whole space and that repeatedly put your imagination at stake, by making your mind work and make you think about where this enemy can be, in several scenes, it can show you where It is without the need to see it. and it gets creepy.

Finally, the soundtrack is composed from Benjamin Wallfisch (IT) that increases the emotions of each scene with electronic and loud sounds, which combine very well with the tone of the film.

In Conclusion it is an interesting new proposal by the director, as of Universal. By betting on a more independent approach and not as commercial as it was driving. That thanks to its script and execution, result in a good horror movie, with an original message, inspired by real situations.

P.S. the new way that this character becomes invisible it's something to see 7o7.

AMAZING, ULTIMATE, SUPERIOR, THIS IS SPIDER-MAN
23 January 2019
This movie is everything that Spider-Man needed to be, after seeing this film i thought that every comic book superhero movie should be with Sony's animation, it's a mix between 3D and pages torn from the spider-man comics, it's fun, the story it's good, the soundtrack it's cool, the animation its amazing, and every character has his back story and their are build up correctly. Now miles morales it's my favorite Spider-Man, and even this animated peter parker as a secondary character its better than the live action ones, to my point of view. There is a lesson that the film explains to you during its development and I left the theater with it in my head, thinking, that we all have the ability to be our own heroes

The movie, was bad, venom, its AMAZING
7 October 2018
I have to say that the movie has so many problems, like the script, the tone, the characters, but actually i have a very good time watching it, Tom Hardy as venom its amazing, i dont know why the critics are talking bad about tom hardy's performance, because he is the movie, he carries all the movie with his fun personality and being in the situation of having venom, who is another good and funny character who helps the film to pass from bad, to one of the most entretaining films of the year.

I really hope a secuel, with a good script, but with this same venom i fell in love with
