MotherFatherSon (2019)
Con job.
I gave it a 3 (really much too high), because the first episode was intriguing, and made me look forward to the second. As each episode passed, the intrigue became less, and the hair pulling became more. I'm fairly politically left of centre, but the heavily spread political crap made me frequently rush to the toilet to vomit. I then recorded the later episodes, so that I could fast forward to save my body from the continual flushing. I had to know if the ending would be as I thought (knew). Guess what? If I could pick the gee gees as easily as this farce, then I would still be of average IQ.
Press (2018)
Banal writing.
It is easy to see what will happen, decades early. The only one who is realistic in their acting, is Ben Chaplin. That Holly Evans character would send me (and any other sane person) running for the hills. I could pick out several actors (male and female) who make me wonder how they ever got to stand in front of a camera. The moralistic slant hits like a sledgehammer, and a bit of subtlety would be appreciated.
Stronger (2017)
Hypocricy at its Hollywood best.
Who were the terrorists? How could you make a 2 hour film about the Boston bombing, and not mention who the hell the terrorists were? To fill in that gap, I will. They were Muslim.
