Teen Truth: An Inside Look at Bullying and School Violence (2006)
Teen Truth: Bully Is A Must See For Any Teen, Parent Or Teacher
As a teacher, I am always looking for films that can effectively entertain, educate and inspire discussion in my students. Teen Truth: Bully is one of the most effective educational films that I have ever come across in my eight year career of teaching. My students were glued to the screen throughout the film and you could hear a pin drop during the moving columbine section.
Shot almost entirely by students, Teen Truth: Bully provides food for thought at a level that other students can relate to. Many educational videos I have viewed are preachy and boring and can barely keep the attention of a quarter of the students in class. Teen Truth: Bully, made my students think about how their own bullying and actions impact each other and inspired discussion way passed the bell ring.
I don't understand why anyone would give Teen Truth: Bully less than a 10 rating. I imagine those people have lost site of what it is like to be a teenager and don't understand the true intention of this film. I look forward to the release of Teen Truth: Drugs.

Out of the Rain (2003)
all wet.
I think the above user was watching the wrong film. Out of The Rain was a complete waste of time. The script seemed more suited for a staged production. Consequently, the acting seemed stiff and out of place. I could see the attempt for quick-witted Kevin Smith interaction, but definitely could not see the results. Too many run-on thoughts and too much telling. Below average acting and an overall amateur effort. An average story with no flair. The only thing the film really had going for it was the fact that it was shot on film.
I would be curious to know if the writer/director comes from a theater background or a film background. Save your time and money if you ever come across this title. This film is all wet.
