Top Gun: Maverick
14 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Director: Joseph Kosinski Writers: Jim Cash, Jack Epps Jr. And Peter Craig Actors: Tom Cruise, Jennifer Connelly and Miles Teller My Points: 7,3 - 4-/5 The first one is way too better, than this sequal - it's a classic!

Not that, this is bad - but the first one is just so good. The points are maybe a little bit too close, but this sequal gets points - for being so good, in now'a'days. When the movies kinda sucks, expecially comparing to the old ones... The "Kill Bill drinking water by being dusty" was fun.

It was nice to hear "Great Balls Of Fire" again - by "the son".

Nice to see Val "Adm. Tom 'Iceman' Kazansky" Kilmer again, too bad - that in poor condition.

Nice to see, Tom "Capt. Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell" Cruise succeeding two times with the fighter.

It was also nice to see Jennifer "Penny Benjamin" Connelly and Ed "Radm. Chester 'Hammer' Cain" Harris, not forgetting Anthony "Goose" Edwards son, Miles "Lt. Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw" Teller. The "bully" Glen "Lt. Jake 'Hangman' Seresin" Powell was also good addition.

Roosters "comeback" was cool. And so was the end "battle".

Overall, a pretty damn nice movie - expecially for so new movie. But the first one, it will always be near to my heart - no (sequal) can "Top" that.

Top Gun
14 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Director: Tony Scott Writers: Jim Cash, Jack Epps Jr. And Ehud Yonay Actors: Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards and Meg Ryan My Points: 7,4 - 4-/5 Well, this was an excelent movie - and always will be. It's a classic! Whatever some-one says... The music was excelent!

"Karaoke" scene was nice, and ofcource the "flye-by".

This movie had excelent cast; Val "Ace" Kilmer, Anthony "Goose" Edwards & his spouce Meg "Carole" Ryan, Michael "Jester" Ironside and orcourse the "lovers" Tom "Maverick" Cruise & Kelly "Charlie" McGillis.

I liked, I liked very much!

The volleyball scene was nice. And Maverick riding his motorbike.

Goose dying, what a sad moment. Even now, when I have seen this movie about ten times. Ofcourse, at first time - it was the saddest... Final mission was a nice ending to this awesome movie!

This movie could be an general education, whether you like - or don't like, fighters. Awesome movie!

Blade: Trinity
2 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Director: David S. Goyer Writers: David S. Goyer, Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan Actors: Wesley Snipes, Kris Kristofferson, Ryan Reynolds, Jessica Biel, Dominic Purcell, Parker Posey and Paul Levesque My Points: 7,4 - 3½/5 Well, this was a little bit better - than the second movie. But the first one will - probably, always be the best. I mean, if there is a "Blade 4" coming. I haven't heard any rumors, but it still may be possible.

There were some good actors in this movie. Or do I mean 'good'?! It was nice to see Paul "Triple 'Jarko Grimwood' H" Levesque in movies. Sadly, he didn't get much "Hollywood success" - 'cause I like him.

Then there of course were the good guys/girls; Ryan "Hannibal King" Reynolds and Jessica "Abigail Whistler" Biel. They were both great, together.

Then there were the bad guys; Dominic "Drake" Purcell was nice, and so was Parker "Danica Talos" Posey. "Triple H" I already mentioned.

Then there were they're "vampire" dogs, they were funny.

The action? It were pretty nice, CGI effects were way too better - than the previous one (expecially comparing to the first movie...)!

It was nice, when Blade did "the K. I. T. T. of the truck". I'm referring to the Knight Rider (1982-1986).

I'm was pretty lame, how the bad guys did the "stage Blade as guilty to kill a human". So someone just agreed to be killed?! And how did they know where to film it? Because before that (stage), there was a long car chase. The camera-man/girl just waited at the right spot, yea right... And Whistler died yet again, and pretty damn easily... And the S. W. A. T., there were like 20-30 cops - and nobody didn't it anything?! And they attacked by hand to hand combat, although they had machine guns, okay?!

The cops didn't know diddly-squat about vampires, okay?! There's like a half a dozen (thousands) of them, killing people - and cops don't know nothing about them... And they didn't even research Blade, the first vampire they see - stupid!

"Hannibal King" was funny, good jokes all the time. Definately material to "Deadpool" character.

Blade yelling "use it, use it...", it was nice!

The end action scene were pretty nice. Not the best, but not the worst.

A good movie, overall!

So, there we had the Blade trilogy. First one was the best, then came this (Trinity...)! Hopefully there is a fourth one coming, it would (hopefully?) be nice. But it would be nothing without Wesley Snipes, he's the "essance". He is just getting pretty old, but... Time will tell, I'm eagerly waiting...

Blade
25 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Director: Stephen Norrington Writers: David S. Goyer Actors: Wesley Snipes, Stephen Dorff and Kris Kristofferson My Points: 7,5 - 4-/5 Well, this was a good movie - like I remembered.

Wesley Snipes was awesome as "Blade". It was also nice to see Kenny "Heatseeking Dennis" Johnson from one of my favorite TV shows; The Shield (2002-2008).

Stephen "Deacon Frost" Dorff as the bad guy, was a nice role.

"Blood shower" was nice. "Good old movies" have nice scenes, like this one.

But, the CGI effects were pretty terrible. They have been out dated!

"The big fat monster" was funny, it would have to be nice see him/her(?) more.

Kris "Whistler" Kristofferson death was sad. I mean, I didn't cry (who cries on Blade?!), but it was very sad.

The "final battle" was pretty nice. Not the best, but not the worst... But overall, a pretty damn good movie! Don't know about the sequals, but I quess they are at least pretty "ok". I mean, I have seen them. But it's so long time when I saw them, so... But let's find out in a couples of days.

War Dogs
16 September 2023
Director: Todd Phillips Writers: Stephen Chin, Todd Phillips and Jason Smilovic Actors: Jonah Hill, Miles Teller and Steve Lantz My Points: 7,2 - 3½/5 First of, where have Jonah Hill disappeared? I haven't seen him any movie for ages... And that is a sad thing, 'cause I like him a lot!

Maybe he will do a comeback?

But on with the review, although I aint got lots to say about it... Yes, this is a good movie - but there's not much to say.

It was nice to watch, when Jonah "Efraim Diveroli" Hill and Miles "David Packouz" Teller business started to roll on. I was on their side, that it would work.

Well, this is a movie - so ofcourse there are potholes.

The journey to Bangkok (or what it was, I dont remember anymore) was nice. Intense, and some gun shooting.

Bradley "Henry Girard" Cooper was a nice addition, I like him.

David Packouz wife were hot, Ana de "Iz" Armas to be exact.

The music were also nice.

So overall, a pretty decent movie - not the best, but not the worst...

The Godfather Part II
1 September 2023
Director: Francis Ford Coppola Writers: Francis Ford Coppola and Mario Puzo Actors: Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Robert Duvall My Points: 7,2 - 3½/5 A very slow beginning, VERY SLOW!

Well, this movie is so long (3h 22min) - so there has to be lots of 'boring' scenes.

But, there also almost didn't have any point. Like this were a over due tv-show.

This was far away from the first movies awesomene's.

In the end, there where finally something happening, but... This was slow, and kinda boring movie.

I dont get, how this got 9.0 points (on IMDb)?!

This is maybe the worst of the trilogy, I cant think how the "Part III" can be worst than this... Well, this has better grade (on IMDb), but I'm guessing this one is the worst - of the Godfather trilogy... Well, the next movie - what I will review - will be the third and last movie. Then we will know the order of these movies (at least in my opinion...)!

The Godfather
29 August 2023
Director: Francis Ford Coppola Writers: Mario Puzo and Francis Ford Coppola Actors: Marlon Brando, Al Pacino and James Caan My Points: 7,8 - 4/5 Well, a very good movie - but not "that good".

I'm referring to IMDb's points; 9,2/10 and second best on the "top rated movies". I only gave 7,8/10, which is also a good grade - but far away from IMDb's... Marlon "Don Vito Corleone" Brandon's "offer he can't refuse", very nice classic sentence! The horses head on the bed, I'm speechless how good it was.

The restaurant shooting were nice.

James "Sonny Corleone" Caan was nice, when he defended his sister honor, by beating the "woman (her sister) hitter".

The "car shootout" was nice scene, a definate classic.

It was nice, when Al "Michael Corleone" Pacino took over "the family". The ending was nice, the door slowly closing... Very nice!

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
2 August 2023
Director: Tom Gormican Writers: Tom Gormican & Kevin Etten Actors: Nicolas Cage, Pedro Pascal & Tiffany Haddish My Points: 6,6 - 3+/5 Well, this is gonna be a short one... The movie was pretty okay, but not that good - that I have lots to say about this one.

It was nice, that the 'guys' spoke of Nick Cage other movies - like he were a 'real' guy.

And what I mean by 'real', this movie was ridicilous. Nick Cage would have died immediately, in real life... I dont have any example, but... he would have died very soon, if he were a 'real' guy.

Nick Cages 'old stuff' were great, best one was his golden guns!

And thats it, I got nothing else to say... Except, that I expected a four star movie, but this travesty just got little over three stars.

So it was a dissapointment, not all bad - but... Pretty bad, I aint gonna buy this on my (DVD/Blu-ray/4K) collection.

Sad, 'cause this had potential... P. S. And yes, I know he's whole name is "Nicholas" - but in the movie it was shortened to "Nick". Don't know, is he "just Nick" in somewhere else (e.g. In the entertainment magazines), but... Yea!

5 July 2023
Director: Glenn Ficarra and John Requa Writers: Glenn Ficarra and John Requa Actors: Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Rodrigo Santoro, Gerald McRaney and Adrian Martinez My Points: 6,7 - 3+/5 Well, not the best movie - but not the worst... It was nice to see, Will "Nicky" Smith teaching Margot "Jess" Robbie how steal some money.

The "quessing bet" between Nicky and the Chinese man was nice!

Adrian "Farhad" Martinez was funny, referring sexy talk to Jess.

Gerald "Owens" McRaney were nice snooping around like a dog.

There were couple nice twist, but they didn't save the movie being just only mediocre. Sad, 'cause this movie had substance...

Executive Decision
2 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Director: Stuart Baird Writers: Jim Thomas and John Thomas Actors: Kurt Russell, Halle Berry, John Leguizamo, and Steven Seagal(?) My Points: 7,0 - 3½/5 Well, this is gonna be a short review. I just got nothing special to say about this one... The movie were pretty damn intense, I liked the ambience.

There were some good actors, like Kurt "David Grant" Russell, Halle "Jean" Berry, John "Capt. Carlos 'Rat' Lopez" Leguizamo, Oliver "Dennis Cahill" Platt and Joe "Sgt. Campbell 'Cappy' Matheny" Morton.

And not forgetting the 'legendary' Steven "Lt. Col. Austin Travis" Seagal. 'Legendary', 'cause he dies almost instantly. And his face is on the poster, what a travesty... I can only think, what his fans thought of that?!

It was nice, when the soldiers were hiding on the plane - being quiet and planning the attack, very thrilling!

The bad guy were pretty good. David "Nagi Hassan" Suchet by his name. He seemed to know everything, and walked to the place all the wrong time.

Landing the plane, what a cliché... But overall, a pretty good movie - not the best, but not the worst... But dont watch, if you like Seagal.

Director: Guy Ritchie Writers: Guy Ritchie, Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies Actors: Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Michelle Dockery, Hugh Grant, Henry Golding and Colin Farrell My Points: 7,1 - 3½/5 I aint gotta lots to say about this one. This wasn't bad, but neither that good - but I just got nothing to say... There were lots of good actors, nice cast! You can trust in Guy Ritchie.

The slang was nice, and so was the story.

But what I didn't like, was that this tried so hard to be witty - but it didn't succeed! At least in my opinion, that was a big minus... But overall, a pretty good movie - which I can recommend you to see... Especially if you like Guy Ritchies work! I could definately watch some of his old works (like "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels - 1998" & "Snatch - 2000") - those are some good movies!

3 June 2023
Director: Richard Donner Writers: Lilly Wachowski, Lana Wachowski and Brian Helgeland Actors: Sylvester Stallone, Antonio Banderas and Julianne Moore My Points: 7,0 - 3½/5 Nice, good - 90's movie. I liked this one! I mean I have 'always' like this, 'cause I have seen this about ten times.

The chemistry between Sylvester "Robert Rath" Stallone and Antonio "Miguel Bain" Banderas was nice! Cool names also, btw... Chess was nice addition. The action were also very nice, Miguel was on a roll! There where couple of nice explosion's - altough, there were pretty bad CGI when it (explosion) wasn't real. But when it was (real) - if it was?! It although seemed to be - it was very nice looking!

The chatting were pretty funny, at least with Miguel (and the 'bad guy'), Miguel loosing his nerve.

The bank scene were pretty nice, Miguel being very nervous and sweatting.

The ending twist were pretty nice. But only "nice", not great... But a very good action flik from the 90's, which I definately recommend to everyone. There is lots of others stuff, than blasting off with guns. Good movie, I liked!

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps
28 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Director: Oliver Stone Actors: Shia LaBeouf, Michael Douglas, Carey Mulligan and Josh Brolin My Points: 6,8 - 3+/5 This wasn't that great, as the first was. But still, this was a pretty good film.

Shia "Jake Moore" LaBeouf was good, or mediocre - I kinda cant stand him. Although, my hate has mellowed - but... enough of that!

Jake's mentors Frank "Louis Zabel" Langella 'train suicide' was nice - honourable & sad, but nice... Chemistry between them (Jake & Louis) was nice!

Susan Sarandon (just titled "Jake's Mother") were nice addition, Carey "Winnie Gekko" Mulligan were also nice. Not forgetting 'the original' Gekko... Motorcycle scene between Jake & Josh "Bretton James" Brolin was cool! Josh was an nice addition to 'the team'.

And yet again, (Gordon) Gekko screwed up his own. It was out to expected, and kinda 'boring predictable' - but it was o.k.a.y. To watch!

The daughter's child 'lever' was a nice.

Eli "Julius Steinhardt" Wallach was also a nice character. Him turning to Gekko at the end, was 'funny'.

Superman Returns
13 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Director: Bryan Singer Actors: Brandon Routh, Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth My Points: 7,4 - 3,5/5 Well, this was a good movie - very!

Brandon Routh was good as Clark Kent/Superman, but Kevin Spacey hit the pot - he was awesome as Lex Luthor!

Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane was a bit boring at the beginning, but as the movie got along - she became alot better/interesting. I wrote down, that Teri Hatcher & Amy Adams were alot better as Lois. But I gotta take that back, Kate were also very good.

The shuttle/plane scene was nice, as was the "Minigun (or the handgun) to the eye" - nice slowmo.

The scale model track were nice. Dont know was it real, or just made by special effects. But all the way, it was nice.

Superman & Lois had a nice "flying" moment, this movie were pretty emotional - I liked that. Did I cry? No... But I got emotional a couple of times, there were couple of nice scenes... The brake "hoax" sabotage was funny. As Lex said, you cant never trust in just acting - better make it real. I laughed my ass off!

Kevin "wrong..!!" Spacey scene were nice, I liked it way back when I saw this for the first time (and in the trailer also...)!

The Piano scene, where it got figured out - that Jason White was Supermans son. I didn't like that - no, the piano flying was nice, but - that Superman has a son. That's lame!

Thankfully this movie didn't got sequel - where the son would have been older. Or if they are still making it, hopefully not. If they wanna persue that, maybe a TV show to Netflix or what ever... But a movie, where is also Superman - no thanks... The beating of Superman, it was very grotesque - it was hard to watch. But kudos to the moviemakers.

This was a very good film, not just nerds - in my opion this suits to everybody, or maybe for young child this is too raw. And who doesn't like Superman! Definately a thumb up and recommendation from me...

Ready Player One
11 March 2023
Director: Steven Spielberg Actors: Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke and Ben Mendelsohn My Points: 5,3 - 2,5/5 What a redard movie!

In Finland, I would call this "vanmainen" - although it is spelled "vammainen". It just my way... So, this indeed is a very redard movie - I aint gonna justify it, it just is... Dont know how Steven Spielberg got related (actually the director) for this garbage.

Well, this is a nerds dream movie (so many game/movie reference), maybe mr. Spielberg is a nerd.

I got nothing good to say about this movie, it's just a dirty mess.

Or I don't know about the "dirty", 'cause this was quite a bit a beatiful movie. In looks, nice special effects. But on the inside, this was ugly.

Although I gotta mention Ben Mendelsohn, he was a good "bad guy" in this movie. And so was the other two, Tye Sheridan and Olivia Cooke.

But, still a very redard movie - dont watch this. Although, this have 7,4 point on IMDb - which I'm surprised (although I kinda predicted it...)! Well, this is a nerd movie - and they propably eat this like gold, so...

Law Abiding Citizen
8 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Director: F. Gary Gray Actors: Gerard Butler, Jamie Foxx and Leslie Bibb My Points: 7,2 - 3,5/5 This was a pretty good film, which I already knew - 'cause I have seen this almost ten times.

The "piano & execution (at the 'same time')" was nice. Gerard 'confession' was nice "I'll confessed exactly what?".

The mattress and steak meal to the jail, was also nice.

Blowing up the cars and the funeral shooting was cool!

But what was ridiculous, was the tunnel to the jail - don't think you just can do it. All the noise, and effort to do that - seems impossible! But what if Gerard got some help and did it quietly, hmmm..?!

No, I didn't like that - but it kinda was important for the movie, so maybe we can forgive that.

The end was stylish, not saying anything more about it... But overall, pretty damn good movie - which I definately recommend to watch!

Tomb Raider
25 February 2023
Director: Roar Uthaug Actors: Alicia Vikander, Dominic West and Walton Goggins My Points: 6,2- 3/5 What a dissapoint of a movie. Although Alicia Vikander were pretty good, but that's the only this movie got... Or maybe instead this got a couple of good parts, like the boat in the storm scene. And the "waterfall-plane" scene were pretty cool.

Walton Goggins was a pretty as a bad guy. And Nick Frost was kinda funny.

But that's all, the rest was s**t!

The puzzle's - what puzzle's? Lara Croft solved them in matter of seconds, boring... I got nothing else to say, nothing good - or even bad. This was just a boring mess. I sincerely hope, that this travesty doesn't get a sequel. What a boring movie...

From 7,7 to 7,2
24 February 2023
Director: Clark Johnson Actors: Michael Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland, Kim Basinger, Eva Longoria and David Rasche My Points: 7,2 - 3,5/5 From 7,7 points to 7,2 points, what a shame.

So this started good, it was very interesting - but the further we got, the boring it came. I indeed was going to give this about 7,7 points, but... What a "pancake".

The actors were pretty damn good, and interesting. I'm not gonna mention them separately, 'cause they were equally good. You can find the actors on top of this review.

Although I gotta mention Michael Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland, they're chemistry were damn good!

The movie proceed pretty good, and was exciting. Until this movie lost the grip, it became kinda boring... Which was a pity, 'cause this movie had high hope to be good.

So afterall, pretty strong beginning - but about the half way, this kinda started to suck. What a pity indeed...

The Accountant
19 February 2023
Director: Gavin O'Connor

Actors: Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J. K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal and John Lithgow

My Points: 7,2 - 3,5/5

Ben Affleck was very good at hes role, in this pretty good movie! His blank face character were very nice (expecially the bank clerk), there always don't need to be emotions.

But only the other actors were emotional. Like Simmons, he were pretty good at telling stories. Lithgow was also pretty good.

Then there were Jon "Shane Walsh" Bernthal, I have always liked him. Although he hasn't done any major role, but what I have seen of him (expecially TWD) - he's good!

Affleck counting the documents were nice, what a genious dude. The action scenes were also cool, reminded me alot of John Wick (2014). But gotta say, that nowadays there are way too much on this kinda action movie. When this (and JW) came, it was new. But now it has been wearn off, sadly!

Minigun was nice, but sadly we didn't see it blasting off! From Predator (1987) and T2 (1991) I have always liked it...

But afterall, pretty damn nice movie. Expecially cause I dont kinda like Affleck (although it has settle down, about ten years ago I could't tolerate him...)! But when he does movie like this, then thumbs up for him - and a thumb up for this movie also.

Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me
9 February 2023
Director: Jay Roach

Actors: Mike Myers, Heather Graham, Michael York, Verne Troyer and Seth Green

My Points: 6,5 - 3/5

Well, this wasn't as good as the first movie - but this still were pretty damn hilarious movie.

The "nude thing" was yet again funny, not as funny as in the first time (for the first time) - but...

Jerry Springer bit was funny, I liked it. "Mini-Me" was also funny character, by the awesome Verne Troyer. As was "Fat Bastard" (funny character).

The acting seemed a little bit "lazy", like they already have done this before. Well, this was a sequal - and pretty same idea as in the first one. Maybe they were "tired"... Goldmember (2002) haven't got this problem, maybe a little break were good (although between this and the first movie, there were quite the same break, as this and the third movie)!

The "three question guy" (Will Ferrell) were funny (he were also in the first movie, funny also in that)!

Heather Graham, damn sexy! But I like Liz more. But then comes Heather (in order of sexiness), Beyoncé is the worst (in the third movie). Although, can you say that - cause she's pretty goddamn sexy! But the two others are hotter, so...

The "shadow bit" was funny, I have always liked that one.

Seth "Scott Evil" Green was hilarious as the "serious sarcastic" guy - just like in the first movie. I liked him, always have.

And ofcourse you have to mention Mike Myers. He did yet an excelent work in this one, as he did in the first movie.

So, good and funny movie - but the first one was better. I'm not sure is the third one the best, but... Well, that we will know in a couples of days.

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery
8 February 2023
Director: Jay Roach Actors: Mike Myers, Elizabeth Hurley, Michael York and Seth Green My Points: 7,3 - 3,5/5 This is a very funny film, I like this one. The other sequal are also very funny, but I think that this might be the best one. It will be figured out in a couples of days, when I watch and review the sequals.

Mike Myers ofcourse where the best part of this movie, as he played the part of main title Austin Powers, and Dr. Evil. Very funny role, from a funny guy.

Elizabeth Hurley, what can you say? Except; very sexy. Me likes - me likes a very much! Sadly that her career didn't get much wind, I have always liked her. For example Bedazzled (2000) was a good film, but I cant name another film where Liz was (except the sequal to this movie)! That is sad... The classic "one million dollar" was funny, as it always has been. You just don't get bored of this movie, this is so hilarious every time.

The toilet scene was funny, as was the "nude thing" (something always blogging the adult parts). Therapy (between Dr. Evil and Scott Evil) was also funny, as was the "hypnosis" (Austin hypnosising the guard) scene.

That was also funny, that the bad guy didn't watch the good guy to die. Good James Bond parody!

The "truck stuck" were very funny, I laughted my a** off!

Afterall, a very good - and expecially funny, movie! Which I definately recommend, if you wanna laugh. If you don't laugh even one time with this movie, I dont know what is wrong (with you, or the movie)?! Very funny movie, cant wait to see the sequals for a quite some time...

Blockers
21 January 2023
Director: Kay Cannon Actors: Leslie Mann, John Cena and Ike Barinholtz My Points: 5,7 - 3/5 Well, what can you say about this movie? Kinda "blaah" movie, which I guessed this to be. Didn't expect anything good, maybe couple of laughs, if something... This had couple of it's moments, but pretty doll movie overall!

Leslie was good, as always. But John Cena was the reason to watch this travesty. I like him! And that's because of wrestling, not his acting career. Although, nowadays he has made pretty ok movies (like The Suicide Squad & Fast & Furious)! Then I'm very intrested of of Cenas Peacemaker TV show.

First I didn't like him (in wrestling), but little by little I started to like him. Nowadays he's kinda superstar, in wrestling and a little bit in movies.

Barinholtz was also funny, I liked him/his character.

So, there were couple of funny parts. Like the drinking out of the a** scene. "Blind game" was also funny.

But this was a pretty bad movie, dont recommend to see. Expect if you want some light somewhat funny movie, then this is ok. But if you want some deep Oscar winner movie, then...

12 January 2023
Director: Aku Louhimies Actors: Jasper Pääkkönen, Nanna Blondell & Sverrir Gudnason My Points: 6,5 - 3/5 This was pretty good film, expecially for it's made in Finland. Not all filmed (in Finland), but made. The hostage situation were made pretty nice.

Jasper 'Markus Tanner' Pääkkönen is good, I have always liked him. Except maybe when he where in Finland soup opera ("Salatut elämät")!

But how Tanner didn't get lost in the halls of 'white house' ("presidentin linna")? It looked very confusing place... The car chase in empty Helsingi's main streets, were excelent to watch.

First I was afraid, that the movie ends when the hostage scene were done, but thankfully it continued. Although, this isn't a very good film - but pretty watchable, so it was good that this continued (after the hostage scene...)!

And ofcourse it has a special 'liking ability', when it was made in my homeland. And it was pretty goodly made, I may buy this in my movie collection.

Akinjeon - The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil
8 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Director: Won-Tae Lee Actors: Ma Dong-seok, Mu-Yeol Kim & Kim Sungkyu My Points: 7,1 - 3,5/5 This was an good movie, what else can you say? Well... The actors were great; Ma Dong-seok was the best as "the gangster". Then there were "the cop", Mu-Yeol Kim. I liked him also. Kim Sungkyu was "the devil", he were great as a sadistic bad guy - devil you would say.

The tooth pulling by bare hand, where kinda brutal - maid me almost look a way. "The gangster" were pretty tough guy. Surviving multiple stab wounds. As he said in the end of the movie, "normal guy would'nt survive that".

The movie were very intresting, I liked it a alot.

The voice recording/video recording was funny. Fight scenes were cool and nicely done.

"The gangster" and "the cop" relationship were very well done, and I liked it a very much. Big thumbs up... Overall, a very great movie - which I definately recommend. Especially if you like movies like this, you could not to skip this one.

Knives Out
7 January 2023
Director: Rian Johnson Actors: Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas and Jamie Lee Curtis My Points: 6,7 - 3,5/5 This movie has a alot of good actors. Jamie Lee Curtis hit my eye first, I like her. Then there was Ana de Armas, which was pretty good also.

But Daniel Craig hit the pot! I liked his character very much. So did I with Chris Evans. First I was afraid, that his role is only to see him in couple seconds. Although, that would have been cool also. But thankfully he had a big role, I liked!

The film had a very good atmosphere, which keep'ed the audience (at least me) in excitement.

"The Dumbest Car Chase", yeah - it was pretty dumb. But kinda cool! Although, how did Ana de Armas did know how to drive in those narrow streets?

The ending? Well, pretty damn good - I liked it very much. I could definately recommend this movie, and I will; go see/get this movie!
