Dark (2017)
Dark...or...'Love'
"What we know is a drop
What we don't know is an ocean"
Cause and affect.
I've just finished watching the 3 seasons of Dark for a 3rd time. And I have to say I think the final 30 minutes, in the last episode of the third season, is perhaps the most beautiful segment of TV I've ever watched, and by no exaggeration, although I am 'a romantic'.
Love is, in our real world and life, a conundrum. Love can take you to dark place, but at its pinnacle it can take you the brightest of places and feelings and this IS, at its heart, what Dark is about. We can act irresponsibly, but we can realise, and importantly, that at the end of it all, love is a truth worth knowing and finding.
Dark is a special show, as others have written, a masterpiece, but that word still doesn't do it justice.
Beautifully written, beautifully acted and beautifully directed. Not a great deal can match Dark, of being close to the best of what's ever been on television.
Watch and enjoy.
Dark: Enden und Anfänge (2019)
Firstly, I love THIS show...
Now, due to the continual rubbish that exists on normal TV, I'm watching for a 3rd time now the seasons of this wonder, Dark.
And the reasoning, in part, of this review, is to I guess perfectly question, in reality, the peculiarity of TIME, that exists in Dark & the '...what if' if time is really like this, in having NO beginning, & having NO ending, and that IT IS just an ongoing circle.
None of us know, in any regard, the true, apparent, pathway of life, & with the sheer scale & profoundness of writing that is shown in this show, it truly brings into question, again, TIME, and why we live by it.
Rising Damp: Stage Struck (1977)
One of the BEST..,
The writing, the acting, it's just brilliant. Rossiter as Rigsby, is just the ever hilarious landlord and Peter Bowles as Hilary, is just the same.
Faultless.
The Blacklist: Ivan Stepanov (No. 5) (2021)
Great episode!!!
Back to what The Blacklist is all about. The chase, the find, the deception, the secrecy. Fantastic episode!!
Dark: Die Reisenden (2019)
Watching 2nd time around - Just, incredible...
Have just finished episode 4 in season 2 and I was, it was, like wtf...information wise, plot wise, story wise. It just spiralled from all angles, in the varying timelines. So much revealed. I absolutely love this show and I enjoy good telly, but this HAS TO BE close to near the best that's been achieved in television, within its nature of drama, genre. It is just bewilderingly brilliant. In no over estimation.
The Professor and the Madman (2019)
What A MOVIE.
Am, have been, a big fan of Excalibur and seeing that this film was written by John Boorman, who also wrote Excalibur, I felt compelled to watch.
What a superb, undiscovered to me, tale, of the origins of the Oxford English Dictionary. Superb acting by all cast, with the stellar headline names of Mel Gibson and Sean Penn. Fantastically acted, excellently written and just a MUST WATCH. Again, compelling.
