Mindhunter (2017)
Really perfect but I feel like it could have been more
The casting, cinematography and acting is all incredible. And the concept of the show is fantastic as it brings so much of how both law enforcement and serial killers operate to light. I binged it in about a week and I loved it. However, 2 seasons doesn't feel like enough. Sure, the Atlanta story is as wrapped up as possible but it felt like it finished too quickly. The stuff with potentially BTK across the whole season didn't seem to go anywhere and relied on the audience assuming who he was but I thought he was gonna be investigated by the main characters or have a murder shown on screen. I also thought that the stuff with Bill's kid didn't go anywhere because he's clearly a potential future killer or at least could be a socio/psychopath but nothing else happens after the original incident and his backstory is never explained. He's not a real kid (although he's based on a true story) so they could have done anything with him but him and Nancy just leave Bill? And that's how the show finishes? I feel like it all just ended very briefly.
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Don't get the middling reviews
This is an above average marvel film. It's simultaneously one of the darkest, saddest and scariest films and one of their funnist. Sure, it could have been more serious at times and Gorr could have gotten more screen time to show how much of a threat he was, but this was a good film. Plus, the more korg the better.
Taxi Driver (1976)
I don't get it
Frequently seen as one of the best films of all time, and I have no idea why. The song used in the soundtrack is lovely and the cinematography helps create a moody atmosphere, but hardly anything happens. He tries to date a girl but takes her to a porn film for some reason and then you hardly see her again. He's got taxi friends who offer nothing to the story and aren't interesting. His interest in guns was forced into the film when he was barely any different to the beginning. He tries to kill palantine even though he liked him and he seems to be a good candidate and then fails and has a disappointing shootout with some pimps. Then he's seen as a hero and has no consequences. This film could have said and done so much but it just makes no sense and nothing de niro does amounts to anything.
Aladdin (1992)
Best Disney film?
It's got everything, a great story, one of the best main characters, one of the best princesses, funny silly side characters, the best and most evil Disney villain and probably the best soundtrack of any of their films.
Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)
Such a drop off
Recently gone over the transformers (the first three are probably the closest films to my heart) and wow this is so much worse than those genuinely good films. This could have been so great but the humans alll suck, the action scenes are inconsistent, the autobots are useless as always when Optimus needs it and speaking of the big guy, he goes from invincible guy who can take on a dinobot to some guy who gets beaten up by some any bounty hunter which is probably the most annoying part. Plus all the adverts and humans taking on transformers ahhh it's so annoying.
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Pretty much on par with the amazing spiderman movies
This was boring, generic and unfunny. Almost nothing happened in more than two hours, the side characters were boring, Tom Holland is an annoying Spiderman and the stakes were so small compared to other marvel movies.
Black Mirror: Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too (2019)
Definitely is the worst one so far
This was mostly enjoyable and says a lot about the music industry, but felt like a Disney film with a lot of f words.
Andes Mágicos (2019)
So poorly executed
The visuals are stunning but was there no editing? The audio is mixed so unbelievably low compared to the music and at one point halfway into the Bolivia episode the narrator says the same thing twice like it was done in one take.
