Sex After Kids (2013)
honest movie
I almost never write a review, but for this movie I feel I need to add my 2 cents as it is my opinion the rating is way low for this movie. The acting was good and the characters believable. I found myself laughing out loud more than afew times and I do not laugh with that many of today's movies, though I view more than the average, for sure. I thought this movie touched on real thoughts and feelings and think it might have influenced some voters by making them a bit too uncomfortable. It is interesting to me the demographics of the voters. The highest group rating came from the group I would expect to find the topic matter the least discomforting. I recommend this movie, even above most I have seen with much higher ratings, and with confidence you too will find it worth the time.
Wuthering Heights (2011)
Perveted
This version is so totally unbelievable. I have no problem placing black actors into white rolls where it might be fitting. To suggest that a black of the date of this story in the location where it happens would be accepted by the father of a young white girl, as this work presents, verges on ridiculous. I would prefer that profits were denied to those who would so pervert reality. I gave up after about 23 minutes because I grew tired of trying to take it serious. I can but wonder why anyone would find it believable enough to sit through. To be honest, I didn't know the story, but, while watching I became convinced the original story did not portray Heathcliff as a black, so I researched and found I was, indeed, correct. I think the story and author deserve more respect, and, frankly, so do I. Avoid.
