Best, New, Must-Watch Series on Netflix
28 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I just finished it, and it is really, REALLY good, undoubtedly the best new Series on Netflix. Lots of expectations when Tim Burton put his Name on this Series, but kudos to him and his Creative Team for delivering the Goods big time.

It just so good on so many levels, first is that it is not only about the Dark Humor and quick, witty Dialogue, there is a lot of multi-level Storytelling also involved, giving most of the Characters a lot of depth.

A lot of talk about how Jenna Ortega was absolutely perfect for the Role, but for me it just wasn't her, most of the other Actors and Actresses also did very well, helping contribute to just how good this Show is.

Take Catherine Zeta Jones, for example. I wasn't sure if she was going to be a good Morticia Addams since Anjelica Huston in the Role was a pretty hard act to follow, but she delivered wonderfully, proving that she could indeed still be good in a Comedy Role.

You know this Series will be full of dark, quick wit, but it still catches you wonderfully off guard at various moments every time it comes, like when Wednesday told Gomez she knew he didn't have it in him to be a Convicted Killer, then Gomez says he forgives her even if what she said "stings".

The Soundtrack is also pretty good, something that is certainly noticeable, they were turning Classic Songs from the 1970s onwards into an Instrumental played by an Orchestra.

SPOILER ALERT (Don't read this if you don't want Spoilers), I'm glad the previous Wednesday didn't just go into the Series in a Cameo Role but was in fact quite a Pivotal Character. We may even see more of her in succeeding Seasons.

Anyway, this THE Must-Watch Series on Netflix right now, and looking at all the buzz it is generating it seems a lot of other People agree with it, too.

Good Movie Review Bombed by Movie Critics
21 November 2022
I was really so surprised just how good this Movie is, given that it was reviewed so badly.

"Morbius" I think is proof of how corrupt the American Professional Movie Critic Industry has become, giving absolute Trash Movies like "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" a 54% Rating on Rotten Tomatoes when it should've been ZERO.

At the same time, Review Bombing a pretty good Movie like "Morbius" just because some id10t and envious Filmmakers and Film Studios can't make a good or don't want to make Comicbook Movies.

Anyway, watch Morbius whenever you can, and pass along the good Reviews in defiance of these Movie Industry Gaslighters.

28 Days Haunted (2022– )
4/10
Disappointingly Mediocre
24 October 2022
So three Teams in three supposedly extremely haunted Locations stay there for 28 Days. My Expectations were something TANGIBLE, things like Visible Apparations and On-Camera Poltergeist Activity.

However, the Show ended up mainly with supposed "Mediums" and "Sensitives" talking about invisible "Energies" or "Experiences" that they are the ones who can only see or feel.

The Problem I think is that the People behind the Show support these kinds of Stuff instead of approaching it from a Skeptic's Point of View.

There are Off-Camera Poltergeist Activity, but that was kinda "Meh" for me. The Radio Frequency Monitor was also kinda suspect as they could be manipulated, anybody could transmit to it and it will receive it.

The only sort of worthwhile Activity there for me was the hanging Light that was moving on its own, the Cabinet Doors that opened on their own and the Vase that was dropped from an open Cabinet.

But these are for over 28 Days on three different Locations, and those were the only really compelling Evidences?

Anyway, if you like to watch People just telling Stories here and there about this and that, then you will likely find this to be okay. But if you are a bit more skeptical, then this is a pretty disappointing Series.

One of the very best Animated Series on Netflix, easily at the level of "Arcane"
18 September 2022
This Series is absolutely Phenomenal, I would put this as one of the very best Animated Series on Netflix, at least at par with "Arcane".

Personally I didn't like the Animation that much, I thought it was too dark and too chaotic at times. However, everything else is great, from the Characterizations, Storylines and Storytelling.

This is truly very Hard Core Science Fiction, they created a World which is beautiful and yet very strange, but also very familiar. You can appreciate the Technology they are using as they are similar to what we have now, but so much more advanced, especially in the field of the Cyberworld.

But I don't think it is for everyone, though. The Action Scenes are great, but they are also a bit too gruesome at times, I think some People will find it that.

Plus the Theme itself is pretty dark, with Crimes, Betrayals, Murders, etc. But if you get past that then you will have one of the most rewarding Series I have ever seen, despite its Bittersweet Ending.

This is one of the Must-See Series for me, if anything it will definitely be a Cult Classic. Yes, another one of those ...

Amazon's Expensive Disaster
10 September 2022
Here's my Review: Well first, the Good News. The Special Effects or Computer Generated Images (CGI) were fantastic, the Sceneries and the Creatures were astounding, about as good as any major Hollywood Movie out there.

At least Jeff Bezos will get to see where his Usd 1 billion Budget went. But unfortunately for this Series, that is just about it, the Storytelling and Characterizations are ... horrible, just no other way to say it.

Hard to imagine how despite all the expectations, all the warnings, they still ended up missing those out. Actually I didn't even get to finish the first Episode, I was halfway thru when I thought, there's a better way to spend my time than watching this, better just go and find a better Series or Movie.

But I think Bezos will likely give this another Season because first, as one of the richest People in the World he can afford it. Second, Amazon Prime Video needs a Flagship Project to behind to, and with this being their most expensive one then might as well have it so.

A Very Effective SciFi-Thriller-Horror Movie
4 September 2022
I have to say that Jordan Peele did a great of sort of reinventing the Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) Phenomenon. I won't post the Spoiler here, you'll have to watch it yourself to understand what I'm talking about.

The Storytelling was also great, with that Side Story about Gordy the Chimp serving as a good Setup to eventually what the Movie was all about.

Add in the spectacularly beautiful Scenery of the Open Plains and the fantastic Action Shots and you have a Must Watch, very effective Science Fiction-Thriller-Horror Movie.

The thing is, in terms of the real-life UFO, the premise here can't be totally dismissed either, anything is possible since we really don't know what they really are.

Again, a Must-Watch, this is the kind of Movie that will likely have a Cult Following from hereon.

One of the Best Movies of 2022
17 May 2022
An absolute Epic, I would put this as one of my Favorite Historical Fiction Movies along with "Kingdom of Heaven". It is dark and brooding, sometimes beautiful, sometimes strange and weird.

But it is absolutely mesmerizing from start to finish, thanks in part to use of the latest Cinema Techniques.

I also liked their "Olde-style" Lyrical and Poetic Dialogue, it just added to the Mystique of the Movie. And they also managed to seamlessly weave Supernatural Elements into the Story. I just love it, LOVE IT!!! One of the Must-See Movies of 2022.

My guess is that they already put the Foundations of a Sequel in this Movie, and I think it will be about his Daughter, the Maiden-King. I hope they will make it, and that it will be as good as this.

Rebel Wilson's last Netflix Movie was okay, but this one is just sh1tty, an absolute waste of Money for Netflix. No inspiration whatsoever, it's as if they were just going thru the Motions to make a Movie.

Their Hypocrite, Religious Doctor Father
13 May 2022
Another great Documentary from Netflix about a Doctor who used his own Sperm to impregnate his Female Patients without their knowledge.

He ended up fathering so many Children, I won't say the number here because the act of finding out is part of the shock of the extent of what he did.

And to think that the Guy was overly Religious and was an Elder of his Church. Typical of these Extremist Christian Hypocrites to go out and keep sucking up to their God but being completely atrocious to their fellow Humans.

And where was their God when he was doing all these? Why didn't it even say to him once, "stop jacking off into the Cup and putting it into Women, Don. It's Gross".

The sad part is that he got away with it, with his fellow Christian Hypocrites tolerating him and him not getting any Jail time at all.

Great Movie for the Most Part, but betrayed by a Weak Ending
11 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The Movie was pretty good for the most part. It is that type of Movie that once you start, you just can't stop watching. Ultimately though I think it was betrayed by having a pretty weak ending.

Just when you thought you finally will reach the climax of the Movie, it ends with more questions than answers, and ends up as the weak link of the Movie.

Spoiler Alert for everyone as I am about to share some Spoilers: Anyway, what happens is that the Main Character and his Ally finally reaches the last Floor of the Structure, but there finds the Child that one of the other Characters have been looking for.

The biggest question then is how did the Child survive for Weeks on end without Food for Weeks on end? That question was answered, or even asked in the Movie, they just plowed right thru right ignoring it.

Also how the Child would end up as "The Message" by sending back up was never answered. We can guess, but again, it was never truly tackled, making up for a generally unsatisfying ending.

Another Multiverse Movie Masterpiece
6 May 2022
Just saw it and it was fantastic, another "Multiverse Masterpiece". The Pacing is fast, but it doesn't lose anything at all in terms of Character Development as Director Sam Raimi made perfect use of each and every second or frame of the Movie to tell the Story as complete as it should be.

The Action and Special Effects were awesome, and the Plot was solid. I love that Raimi also got to make fun of his Spiderman Movies with those Spiderman Jokes, for me it was one of the many highlights of the Film.

All the Actors did great, but particularly Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Elizabeth Olsen and Xochitl Gomez. One of the Must-See Movies of the Year.

Tragedy despite her Fame, Fortune and everlasting Beauty and Charisma
4 May 2022
Another excellent Documentary from Netflix. Marilyn Monroe, 60 Years after her death still continues to captivate People with her Beauty and Charisma.

As for the circumstances of her early Death, the Documentary paints us a Picture of just a Tragic Figure despite her Fame and Fortune.

She had a very troubled Childhood, having been abandoned and forced to move from one Foster Home to another, and eventually being molested in some of them because of her Beauty.

She survived that and became Rich and Famous in Hollywood, but in the end I think what really killed her is because despite having those, she just couldn't find probably what she wanted the most, which is to have a Family.

Her Marriage to Joe Dimaggio didn't pan out since he was too possessive and jealous, and ended up beating her up. She next married a smart Guy in Arthur Miller, but that too ended up in tragedy after a Miscarriage.

She got involved with the Kennedy Brothers John and Robert who ended up sharing her, but was dropped like a hot Potato once the Kennedy's got into Power.

Just a very tragic life, she just couldn't find the kind of happiness she wanted. But her Beauty and Charisma will live on forever. There is nobody who has come close to her since, and I doubt if anybody will be.

Just another unexpected Masterpiece from Netflix
17 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Another Month, and another unexpected Masterpiece from Netflix. It starts out as good, but as the Series unfolds, it starts going to Outstanding or Excellent.

It is a bit longer than most Netflix Series with nine Episodes, each around an Hour or more long.

And that's because it is not just about Anna Sorokin or Anna Delvey, but also others around her Case like Vivian Kent who broke out her Story to the Public, Todd Spodek who was her Lawyer, her Friends, etc.

There are some Twists in the Series and some Emotional Manipulation also on the Audience like in case of Anna's Friend Rachel Williams, for example, who initially started out was Villain, sort of exonerated during Anna's Trip to Morocco and back to a Villain again during Anna's Trial.

There is some Drama, but also a lot of Light Comedy in it, which is actually good as the Series can be quite embarrassingly painful to watch also, particularly during Anna's Morocco vacation.

Definitely the current Must-Watch Series on Netflix right now.

The current, Must-Watch Movie on Netflix, great Documentary
11 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Another surprise hit from Netflix. The Documentary is very well done, it is quite thrilling the way they unfolded the Events.

When Cecille, one of the Girls that was defrauded by Simon Leviev, talked and cried about how she was duped out of Usd 250,000, you can really feel her pain and anguish, especially since she is just an ordinary working class Woman.

About the only bad thing about the Movie is how Leviev seemed to be getting away with what he did. He only served 5 Months in Jail in Israel after his last arrest, and seems to be living the High Life again and dating a Model.

Personally, I think this Leviev is an embarrassment to the Country of Israel, the famed Mossad should do an exception and get rid of this Guy for good.

Anyway, the current Must-Watch Movie now on Netflix.

Stunning Visuals, better than expected
18 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I admit that I had some reservations about this Movie, even with Denis Villeneuve at the helm I wasn't sure they were going to pull it off, but they did. It's not as bad as I thought it would be, but not that great also because of one Issue towards the end of the Movie.

Dune was always going to be a difficult Film to pull off because it combined Science Fiction (with its Exotic Worlds and Customs) with Politics, and even Religion. However, Villeneuve did a pretty good job overall of telling the Story that could be understood relatively easily despite its complex arcs and nuances.

I particularly loved the Movie's Settings and Visuals, it is supposed to be set around 10,000 A. D. or 8,000 Years into the Future and it does show a World that is strange and yet beautiful, and almost Alien in nature.

My only beef about it was (WARNING, SPOILERS) when one of the Visions of Paul Atreides didn't come true, I ended up looking for the answer why in the internet. I did find a satisfactory answer, but I doubt if most other Viewers would be as much patience about it.

Villeneuve should've been able to tell the Viewers why right in the Movie itself rather than have them look outside for it.

Nevertheless a pretty good Movie overall, Highly Recommended.

Fitting Send-Off for Daniel Craig's James Bond
17 January 2022
A very fitting send off to Daniel Craig's Stint as James Bond. The Action Scenes are fantastic, plus add in those exotic, International Locations that the Bond Movies are known for.

I've seen all of Craig's Bond Movies and they were all good. Dark, gritty and yet stylish and visually impressive at times.

Ana De Armas had a short but scene-stealing and memorable appearance in the Movie. I liked the Worldwide threat they came up in this Movie, Nanobots that can be programmed to only selectively kill certain People.

They really found a way to make the threat understandable and an integral part of Bond's actions at the end of the Movie.

A MUST-SEE Movie for me, one of the best of 2021.

Absolutely Amazing
26 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Just saw this, and this would be one of the Must-See, if not THE Must-See Movies of the Year 2021. The Tom Holland as Spiderman Movies has been pretty good, the Characterizations, Storytelling, etc. Are excellent as usual but what makes this one extra Special is the Premise of the Plot itself.

I would put this one as one of the very best or my Favorite Superhero Movies of all time, right there with X-Men: Days of Future Past and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I would break down the Movie into around four (4) Acts:

WARNING: HEAVY MOVIE SPOILERS AHEAD The First Act would be Peter Parker dealing with his newfound Fame and Infamy, how it affected him and those who were close to him, and eventually how he dealt with it.

The next Second Act would the Spiderman Villains as they were the first to come out, and here Alfred Molina, Willem Dafoe and Jaime Foxx shone very brightly, I was transfixed by them together onscreen and interacting with each other. They were simply amazing.

The Third Act would be when the other Peter Parkers or Spidermans came out, and here they absolutely went to Town with what it would be like with them being together. Like for example the talked a lot about Toby Mcguire's Spiderman was able to generate the Spiderwebs from his Body.

Or how about Tom Holland being able to fight Aliens in Space while Toby only got to do that on Earth, while Andrew Garfield wasn't able to do any such thing at all.

The Fourth Act would be of course the ending, which is actually a bit dark and sad, but it is how it is, and how it should be.

Overall, I think the Movie did a couple of things, first would be give Tom Holland's Spiderman a very, very, very graceful exit from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Second is that it also allowed Toby and Andrew to say their goodbyes for their Versions of Peter Parker/Spiderman, something which didn't happen before.

Moving forward, it seems that there is a future of the Venom Symbiote in Tom Holland's Universe as a hint of it was given in one of the End Credits. Also they allowd Foxx to talk about a "Black Spiderman", so we might see that sometime down the Road.

Anyway, if you haven't seen it yet, I would encourage you to go watch it, it is a Must-See for me.

One of the Best Movies on Netflix this Year (2021)
13 December 2021
OMG, what the fakk is wrong with Sandra Bullock? Why does she keep making such good Movies these Days?

"Gravity", "Bird Box" were fantastic, even "The Heat" had its charms. And now this, "The Unforgiveable". They say it's just an "Oscar-bait" Movie, and it is, but it is very deserving if it ever does wins some Oscar Awards.

The Movie is a very good Thriller, it mainly revolves on the mystery of what really happened on why Bullock's Character got to go to Prison.

We get glimpses of it all throughout the Movie, and of course the truth isn't really revealed until near the end of the Film.

In the meantime, we get to see Bullock's struggles as she adjusts to life outside the Prison, and as with any good Movie, it has many Layers around it.

You have the "Revenge" aspect from the Family of the Person that Bullock's Character killed, then you also have her struggle to get in contact with her little Sister who was taken away by Social Welfare during her imprisonment.

An absolutely great performance by everyone, especially by Bullock, just superb interpretation of the main Role. You can actually see in her Face all the hardships she has had to go thru during her 2 Decades in Prison.

A Must-See for me, one of the Best Films on Netflix this Year (2021).

A bit to unbelievable in the End
6 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A mainly Formulaic Rom-Com, right down to the perky Best Friend for the Female Lead. However, it does have enough Twists of its own to make it interesting, like Nina's Karaoke Scene, for example.

However, in the end (Spoilers) I just thought that Jimmy Yang and Nina Dobrev are just too far apart to be believable as a Couple, unless they turned him into a Billionaire or something, which they didn't.

Watchable enough for me, if nothing better is around, which it is since the other Netflix Movie that premiered, "The Harder They Fall" was an absolute Piece of Crap.

Shallow and Mediocre
3 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I found it to be Cliched, Shallow and full of Gimmicks. The Movie basically relied on Cliches and Gimmicks one after the other to make itself "endearing". It tries so hard that it shows, and in a bad way.

It is also quite Shallow, relying almost entirely on Plot Armor just to get thing thru. For example, why was Sebastian so good at breaking Safes despite the fact that he only does it only as a Hobby, to the point that he breaks the greatest Safes in the World on more or less his first try?

This was never explained satisfactorily in the Movie, it just was so. We just see him go out and listens to the Safes while turning the Wheels, and that was it. As I said, SHALLOW.

About the only good thing I liked about it were the Settings as the Movie goes around to various Countries in Europe. Quite a Mediocre Movie, not for me.

Not as good as I had hoped for
21 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Just not as good as I had hoped for. It is watchable, the Premise I think was decent, it tried to establish it's own Vampire Mythology like with the Underworld Series, and the Characterizations were pretty good.

The Setting in glamorous Places were also nice to watch. However, there simply were too many loopholes, like how (Spoilers) come "Victor" and the other Vampire Families only had a few "Soldiers"?

What was so special about these 2 Girls that they were able to easily take down the other Vampires? I was hoping they answered that in the Movie, but they didn't.

On a Side Note, Debby Ryan looks very much like a young Geena Davis to the point that I thought they were closely related, but they're not.

Decent in some Spots, but Predictable and lacked Closure
4 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It was a decent Thriller in most Parts, but towards the middle it sort of got predictable with its Plot Twist. It also looked like just a way to showcase Jake Gyllenhaal's Acting Chops.

I also didn't like that, SPOILER WARNING, they didn't show the Actors and Actresses that were heard over the Phone, it just felt like a lack of closure of some sort.

Not really impressed with the Movie at all.

Awesome Movie, a very worthwhile addition to the "Real Animal Predator vs. Human" Genre, an instant Classic. Will make you hate Alligators.

Very effective as a Thriller, with quite a number of "Jump Scares". And the Premise is amazing: Set in Gator filled Florida, during a Hurricane, in a flooded Basement.

A Must Watch for me.

Outstanding Action-Espionage Thriller

Loved the Movie, at times the action seemed non-stop, almost like Terminator 2 where it comes one after the other.

Overall it reminds me a lot of The Winter Soldier where it is mainly an Action-Espionage Thriller. I love the Twists, very smartly done.

It also has a lot of Heart in it, especially the Scenes when the Family was together. A Must Watch for me.

Could've been great, but still a very entertaining one
13 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A pretty good Movie overall, but I do have some reservations about it. First off, James Gunn proved that just like the Russo Brothers, he truly is a Master of handling an Ensemble Cast.

He is a gifted Storyteller, and his Characterizations and Dialogues are just truly amazing, it is what made this Movie work.

He has fine attention to detail, with superb little things like the Ratcatcher's cute Pet Rat, Bloodsport's fear of Rats, or Ratcatcher wondering what an Overhead Projector is ...

I also liked what he did with Harley Quinn, all that long build up at romance, only for her to show how really sick in the Head she is later. Also great Escape Scene, it showed us how much of a Kick As* Character she is also.

In a way I am sort of glad that Marvel fired Gunn so he can work on another Ensemble Cast (and of course they hired him back).

My Beef about the Movie though is that Gunn himself might have ended up too close to the Characters he created that he was hesitant to kill them off.

This is supposed to be a "Suicide Squad", and yet only one Member of the Core Team was killed off. One Character I thought died, only to be revealed as still alive in the End Credits.

Another Character was killed off, but he wasn't really a Member of the Core Team, he just sort of joined the later.

The fact that Gunn killed off so many of the other Team at the start of the Movie doesn't mean he can get away with killing off most of the Core Team later.

And that is why I thought this is just a good Film, and not a Great One. Still highly recommended, very entertaining.
