Supervillain: The Making of Tekashi 6ix9ine (2021)
Good but
Interesting to hear this perspective but Adam 22 was a poor choice. Watching him act like he has some morale high ground, when he has his own issues was infuriating.
He Didn't want anything to do with 6ix9ine until 69 had a little traction and then all of a sudden he thought he would throw him a crumb and give him an interview. And now that the proverbial ish has hit the fan, adam "looks down" on 69 (his actual words in the film) but not too much to take money to be in this documentary. Trash individual. Hard to take a 40 year old podcaster seriously on this topic.
Overall, the documentary was interesting but seem to serve more as a platform for Adam 22 to express his disdain for 69, and then to dig deeper into the details that made 69 who he is.
The Family Business (2018)
How did this keep getting renewed?
Not sure how this show lasted for three episodes let alone three seasons because it's pure garbage. The acting is astonishingly awful and the storyline is complete trash. Literally everyone overacts to the point where it's actually funny. Paris needed to be gone in the first episode. Favorite line "you didn't send me to finishing school daddy, you sent me to mercenary school because you wanted a killer." Literally the corniest thing I've ever heard and seen.
I come on here to review things and see such trash shows like this that have ratings like 6.5. I just can't figure it out. Either we have the bar sets so low that we're happy with this kind of tripe or they're paying people to give this thing good reviews. There can't be that many stupid people who think that this is actually quality viewing.
Fall River (2021)
Nope
Moderately interesting, and full of what might be new facts for some. I was committed to watching the entire thing until the Covid piece where the filmmaker felt it necessary to interject his political opinions into the documentary. Although Covid had some bearing on the pace of the film, the filmmaker's passive aggressive statement on how it was handled via certain sound clips he played, had no place in that movie and added no value to the story. It had a lot of potential had the filmmaker stayed on topic and objective in their storytelling. After that part if the film I questioned how objectively snd factually the filmmaker had portrayed everything else in this documentary.
My Policeman (2022)
It was ok
It be cool if people would actually evaluate the movie based on the script, acting, filming, directing, etc. And not out of desire to be a part of the "cool crowd" - you're going to virtue signal this movie to death with all the fawning over this solely because of the subject matter and little about anything else of importance. Subject matter aside, the other aspects of the film were OK at best. I like period pieces so I did love it for that, and Harry Styles is really easy on the eyes, but everything else was just ok and not the masterpiece that so many people claim it to be in my opinion....
Shattered (2022)
Nope
Literally some of the worst acting I have ever seen. The female lead in this is awful. It's like watching a Nickelodeon show except Nickelodeon's better. Only gave it three stars because I like Malkovich. I'm surprised he's in this stinker.

Elvis (2022)
God that was awful
That's it. That's the review. Tom Hanks sucked and poor Austin Butler, that What probably seemed like a huge break for his career turned out to be such a mess of a movie.
Ema (2019)
Garbage
It's really the only thing I can say about it. I'm going to put a couple extra sentences in here because it won't except my review with out 150 characters. This is straight up trash.
Risen (2021)
Mom said to turn the music down
It's Pretty bad. The main character is unlikesble and not in a good way. But the worst part of the whole film for me was the music - it completely drowned out a lot of the dialogue. I probably should be grateful for that but it was annoying AF.
Broken Harts (2021)
:(
Horrible story, very sad and those kids could've been saved multiple times over. Blue hair guy thought he was doing something but actually did such a disservice to this these kids and their story. He made it unwatchable imo. His issue is with white people in general, not just the white people responsible for this tragedy, Which discredited an otherwise solid documentary. He was a poor choice.
C.O.R.N. (2021)
Yikes
The actors in this must've gotten together and had their family and friends leave reviews because there's no way this thing has a 3 1/2 star rating on Amazon prime. It's horrible -poorly filmed and acted.
Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (2020)
No Thanks
Someone needs to tell Hollywood that not everything has to have a political and/or racial slant. So many shows I used to watch went down that path, turned to crap, and then were cancelled. People want to be entertained not lectured or schooled. If I want politics and current events, I turn on the news. I loved the first PD and was really looking forward to this one ... what a disappointment.
The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia (2009)
So gross
This docu was fascinating but those people ...Imagine having a baby and snorting some pills in your hospital room and then being so shocked that you have to leave the hospital without your baby because they are concerned for her well-being. Come back few days later to "see" her and find out CPS took her because of your drug and alcholol abuse. You're SO upset, go to taco bell and then out to the bar drinking that same night. Imagine being proud of telling the story of how you stabbed someone. Imagine shooting your own uncle. Imagine being at your 85 year old mothers birthday party and sitting in the living room smoking weed, drinking and snorting coke with the kids running around. None of them work, Most are involved in illegal activities or working the system. These people are garbage and should not be allowed to procreate so the bloodline dies out.
Brown Girl Begins (2017)
So bad
So, so bad. Not sure how this got nominated for anything. Was it the only movie in it's category?
Unorthodox (2020)
So well done!
Just kept popping up on my "suggested for you" on Netflix. I kept scrolling past it thinking it wasn't for me. Glad I decided to watch this because it is so well done, well acted and really moving. A must see
Tin Star (2017)
Like other before me have said ... Underrated.
Here's what I like: Tim Roth, a musical score that makes the scenes, a twin peaks/fargo vibe, and a good twisty storyline. Tin Star has it all. I can't believe that there wasn't more fanfare around this series. First episode is misleading, get through that and you are in for a ride.
Abducted in Plain Sight (2017)
The parents are absolute idiots
Seeing it believing on this one. The family is either clueless or complicit, it's hard to believe that someone could be so careless with their children and trusting of some overbearing grown man who they clearly acknowledged had a special interest in that particular daughter.
The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017)
Yeah ... um .... no thank you.
From the synopsis: "Steven, a charismatic surgeon ... " I must've blinked and missed the scene where he was charismatic. They were all emotionless and robot-likel spoke like robots. Weird and pointless flick.
