Dune (2021)

Scenic, fantastic, edge gripping
20 September 2021
I was expecting a lot to be honest, but it has delivered beyond that.

Scenic and fantastic worlds are build without CGI being the first thought that comes to mind.

The space part of the narrative is not something that fills up the time.

The music is maybe the most surprising part, it is really really good.

Without trailing off in details of script or story telling, it really isn't a story that builds to a single climax or fix point, it just delivers edge gripping narrative for 150 minutes.

I need to upgrade my Hi-fi for when it becomes available and I am looking really forward to part two!

Joker (I) (2019)

How would you rate insanity?
25 February 2020
Well, didn't read anything of the film before watching it. I was prepared to see another take on the Jokers insanity, but it took a slightly darker path than anticipated. Finding and portraying the dark mind of a person that is both mistreated and led astray in a series of mishaps and unplanned incidents is absolutely mind boggling.

I could not quite let the small imperfections in the script go, how the joker was an unknown in the Dark Knight and here he is the known instigator of a 'clown' riot through the street of Gotham.

This is among the more terrifying movies I've seen from a perspective of 'mind exploration' that devides it up upon both actions from the Joker and the experiences he has that forms him. I was divided between 8 or 9, since it is so good on the portrait of insanity that I think I'll never want to see it again. On the other hand the small script details annoys me, even though it should stand alone from the previous movies.

Highly recommended watch!
