Season 3 is snoozefest
22 May 2024
Man, season 3 is so dull and boring. Each episode drones on with more boring and dull dialogue. I was so annoyed with the husband and wife interactions that it started to get me mad. There was no resolve to the episode and it left you wondering what his son ended up doing with the information. The idea of the season was cool but they could have shortened it to 4 episodes or cut out the wife and husband dynamic as that was just torture to watch, she was annoying in every way. I liked Stephen Dorff's character he played it well. The last part of episode 8 is all you need to watch. Compared to other seasons, just skips this one, it's awful.

Comedy? Drama? Thriller?
16 May 2024
I wasn't sure what type of series this was supposed to be going into the show but I did not find any part of it a comedy. In fact, the parts that I assumed were supposed to be funny were not funny at all. I think the series would have been better if they just left it one genre, as a thriller, instead of trying to mix genres or make fun of the book with the similar name. I did enjoy some aspect of the show, mainly the house and Kristen Bell's attire, I know, that's lame but I like when series put effort into that in a show. I did not like the holes in the characters and the sheer dumbing down of our intelligence while watching it. If you go into the show with low expectations, you won't be disappointed.

Awful show
16 May 2024
Mixed feelings on this show as far as the main actor. The Ghoul was fantastic, he was perfect for the part, he played it perfectly, make up cool, though his name is just plain, he should have a cool name. The lead female, Lucy, was creepy to look at as her big eyes were made even creepier in this show, adding to the grotesque nature of the subject. Maximus, was just straight up awful in every single way. Watching him made my body hurt, his acting and affect was just wrong, it's like he has special needs or is just not wrapped properly, every time he spoke it was like he knew nothing about life. The CGI in the show in the background was just bad, really bad. Some other parts were done well, but also pretty disgusting and inappropriately gross and could have been left out. The show is all over the place and it's just not for me. I guess you have to be a gamer to appreciate it, but it was terrible. I do not recommend.

Don't believe the hype
28 April 2024
I tried to watch this movie and it was torture sitting through the first 20 minutes. The movie was NOT scary, but more gory than anything else. You tell me that two men come across a man's body cut in half, and they stay calm and do not panic?! The men do not tell the police and they act like nothing strange even happens when they get back to town?! Just dumb. Even the make up done on the first scene was just bad on the corpse cut in half, it was like a cheap Halloween store prop. The scenes that follow are pretty bad and not scary either, more like Jabba the Hut and some whining dogs. The flat affects of the actors just sealed it for me.

No content it back story...
19 March 2024
I had high hopes for a new exciting thriller when I started watching this movie. An hour into the movie, I realized there was no back story on any character, no character development, no real substance to any of the people in the movie. Every single character in the movie was unlikeable, especially the really dumb main character girls. You think you will find out some of their troubles but you don't. They have serious character flaws and have distain for one another. The girls make poor choices with alcohol and money, that's all you know about them. You think something terrible will happen to them like in Wolf Creek because it's in Australia, but it doesn't. The movie is just bad. Slow burn with nothing happening the entire movie but poor choices made by two girls on vacation even then it's rather boring. More like a drama.

Terrible
17 March 2024
I don't watch Marvel like I used to when the children were small but I gave this a chance, what a mistake. The acting is just terrible. I feel like everything is in slow motion in this series. The show is so dark, dull and just crap. The idea of this is just awful as well. I do not know what the high reviews are all about as the episodes that I saw were terrible. The acting really killed it for me I can't get past the scenes that show a woman being an alcoholic and being a terrible person but then having a conscience and trying to help find missing girls with her powers. This is just dumb and boring. Truly crap.

Just terrible from the start
16 March 2024
This was terrible from the start but I kept watching with hopes it would get better. I stopped and started watching this about 10 times because I like this type of show. The scenes were gorgeous and some of the actors were great but the idea of this show and the execution was awful. I found it to be extremely boring. Besides the fact that the idiot brother kept getting himself in trouble was so annoying was beyond words. How can the actions of these rich people keep spiraling out of control and they think they won't get caught?! The way the show insults us as an audience is another thing I hate. How dumb can most of these people truly be or naive can they truly be. It's annoying and poorly written. I will not finish and do not recommend.

Not for everyone but fabulously done
9 March 2024
I was taken back when I initially started watching this movie. The movie started off strange and a bit too other worldly for my taste but I kept watching. The movie got better and better as I continued to view its genius. It has HEAVY sexual scenes as Emma Stone is magnificent in her portrayal of this evolving character/beautiful monster. The odd cinematography and mix of old world and new world ideas is fascinating, combined with Emma Stone's character development. The movie creates such depth in each person. The articulation of Emma Stone and William Defoe is astounding. This movie is breathtakingly smart. I loved this movie.

Terrible
3 March 2024
This came up as a suggested watch for horror, thriller on Amazon prime. What a terribly, boring and ridiculous waste of a movie. I liked Jay from a few things, along with Emily and Scott, but this movie was a bad choice for all three of these leads. The movie drags on for so long with none of the characters being remotely likeable. The female lead is just miserable. Scott's character is predictable from the start. Jay seems to play the same type of character in every movie, a pot smoking, nervous, dorky kind of guy. The end fell and it was a let down in so many ways. What a piece of crap. I would never recommend this movie for any reason. Zero stars.

B rated movie
18 February 2024
I don't think I saw the same movie as the reviews that gave this movie a high rating. First off, this was not scary AT ALL. The movie was made by Eli Roth, who made a great movie years ago that is hard to top, since then, his movies have gone downhill. This movie was a B rated, trashy, funny and pathetically predictable movie. The first scene at fake Walmart, sets you up to know exactly what will happen from the start. BORING. As every scene unfolds, you know what will happen, it's lackluster and a snooze fest. The CGI was so poorly done and the blood scenes were not well done. The ending was just dumb and the acting was terrible. One of the worst movies that I have seen in a long time. Waste of my time.

Boring, terrible acting and SLOW!
23 January 2024
Nothing really happens in this show. The high ratings must be from teens who like shows that talk about drama and sex the entire time. There is absolutely Nothing special about this show nor does anything truly happen that makes it remotely watchable. The teen drama is not even relatable for most teens, I have teens and they didn't even think it was relatable. The premise of the show was odd and it felt all over the place. I lost interest in the show 5 minutes into watching it. The writing is just atrocious and the acting is terrible too. The show is straight up dumb and poorly portrayed in every way. It's like Hunger games met Yellow jackets without talent and good writers.

Idea is cool, execution is soo soo
20 January 2024
Toni Collette's character is so unlikeable that I hate it every time she is on the screen. John Leguizamo does such a great job playing a sympathetic and compassionate doctor in this series, it's hard not to love him. The son is just an annoying little brat that needs to be punished for his behavior. The daughter is a typical teen with emotions. I did like the contrast of characters around the world. I enjoyed the journalist and the struggles that Roxy faced. Eve's character was a little strange and the evolution of her was too much for me. They made a huge error in part of the last episode about the skein and one of the nuns, I won't ruin it. It was a bit ridiculous with Toni Collette's character and Eve, it's just over kill. This could have been so much better if they didn't over so it with some extremes in the series.

A bit over hyped
13 January 2024
I expected more from this movie. It starts out in Oxford where you see a less than privileged student want to be friends with a popular rich student. From what I saw and heard online, it was supposed to be disturbing, it was definitely weird and gross in a few scenes. However, there were so many issues with the film in my opinion that had to fall into place for it to really happen. Many scenes had me laughing due to character dialogue or just the scene lay out itself. This was cinematically a beautiful film. The house where most of the film is set, is stunningly gorgeous. The storyline seems predictable and you can catch where it's going mid way through if you pay attention to the film . For rich people, they are a bit naive and in reality they would never do such a thing as they did in this film. It fell a little flat for me and it was nothing great, I think I expected more as people hyped it up soo much. Severe nudity in the last 5 minutes so be prepared. He is a distubed character with super rich naive characters, that's pretty much the main take away.

Meh
26 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The movie is way better and so are the books. The dialogue is just dry and dull. The acting is just terrible. Casting is not great either and the show just moves so terribly slow. I was so disappointed in this series, it really is a shame to have such high hopes and now crash so hard to the ground. I don't know how the ratings are so high, this was just awful and hard to watch. Character portrayal, acting is subpar, dialogue, the monotonous talking in every scene can put you to sleep, especially Percy, ugh, just bad. Percy's voice and his bad acting just ruins the show for me. Stick to the books and the movie. Hard pass.

Hysterically funny
25 December 2023
This show is why British comedy is my favorite to watch, it never disappoints. Stephen Merchant was able to pull off humor, team work, friendship, moral compass and a down right great story line, albeit silly in some ways. I loved each character separately and their stories just seemed to draw you into the series in every episode. I couldn't stop watching wanted each person to have the happy ending the deserved. I loved the humor that Stephen's character portrayed and Myrna, Clare Perkins and Christopher Walken provided in this fabulous comedy. I enjoyed the pretend cops silly and ridiculous humor as she could understand each person and had a soft spot for them. I highly recommend.

Leave this movie behind
9 December 2023
This had a whole lot of nothing in this movie. The lead up in the trailer made it seem like a lot would happen. It was like watching a suspense to lead up to something amazing but this falls short in a huge way. The final scene was such a let down, it really was so boring that I fell asleep so many times. The music choice for this was extremely weird from the start and the characters did not fit together. I found the actors awkward and just oddly cast together. For some reason they had Julia Roberts say the F word about 100 times in this movie, it was the only curse word anyone actually used at all. If you want a thriller, this movie isn't it. Nothing really happens and it's dull from start to end.

Dumb money
6 December 2023
First off, what type of movie is this supposed to be, horror, comedy, for children or adults? This movie was just terrible from the start. The husband and wife and mother to the young girl were not well cast, they were extremely awkward and terrible to watch. The cursing was just inappropriate even for someone who enjoys watching full on comedy with appropriate cursing but this was not it. The way they portrayed the Santa was just disgusting and awful. I would never recommend this movie as it's not watchable for the beginning part only half way through toward the end does it get tolerable. Disappointed.

Disturbing and not in an enjoyable horror movie way
19 November 2023
I wanted to like this as I enjoy horror movies. I kept with this series and really tried to enjoy the horror element. This was profoundly disturbing and not at all what I expected this to be for a horror series. I didn't expect this to be constant racism and abuse the entire series. I was waiting for a break in the episodes and to finally feel some relief but it never came. I expected more from todays already astonishing racism in the world so this upset me. I was upset from the start when I saw the mom being forced to protect her children from a white woman. I'm a white woman and I felt the black woman's pain and fear and it was purely disgusting. Horrible series! Disappointed.

Explicit, boring story and overrated
9 November 2023
I started to watch this with my teen daughter and soon realized that was a HUGE mistake. This show was terribly inappropriate in so many ways. I found the high reviews very shocking due to the storyline being so boring and the material is pure trash. I sat through the first 2 episodes in which I had to do alone due to every other scene was either about sex or very explicit in sexual nature. The show was slow to pick up and it still was dragging on even into the 2nd episode and hard to follow. The characters are not likable and it seems like and really stupid idea. I couldn't finish this series, it's pure trash with too much unrelated characters and content.

Much improvement from the first
6 November 2023
Fantastic film, one of the best, if not the best horror film of 2023. A lot of jump scares that pull you in from the very start. The Nun has this gripping terror about her mixed with great music and cinematography, that makes this second film more amazing than the first. There are really amazing new twists and characters. The movie dives deeper into the storyline and the miracles that have developed along the way. Valance has come back and in some fantastic new and shiny ways. I was really creeped out. You'll find yourself on the edge of your seat in suspense gripping your popcorn. Wonderfully done and a great horror movie!

What a disappointment
4 November 2023
Nicolas Cage was fantastic in his version of this story, years ago, it was way more exciting, entertaining and definitely a horror. This Blum house version is just plain terrible in so many ways. I was so bored with the story being dragged out and the lay out of the scenes, it was just painful to watch. I am so disappointed that they labeled this Horror, nothing to show it was a horror but 2 scenes. This is like a PG horror movie, rather dull and dry, with stupid lame horror scenes. I think Blum house needs to give it up already as the hype definitely doesn't fit with this film video game is way better, what a let down.

What did people see in this movie?
3 November 2023
I waited to watch this movie. Nothing really happens for over an hour in the movie that makes this a thriller and definitely not a horror movie. I was bored so bad that I fell asleep three times. I had to rewatch this 3 times before I stuck it out. Nothing but a bad trip in this movie. The content is just terrible from the start to end. The fact that every person that visits a foreign country for some type of mind altering experience seems to have something deadly happen to them is just played out and BORING. This movie is NOT original and nothing about it is exciting or new. One time watch for me.

Had potential then failed miserably
2 November 2023
The high rating from people is shocking. Yes, the movie has a few creepy scenes BUT the CGI and holes in the story line make it trash. I was looking forward to this as the beginning started strong and the last 30 minutes was the worst acting in horror scenes that I have ever scene. Like someone said, Coraline was scarier and this movie resembled that movie. Lizzy Caplin plays a weird character, she isn't even very good in this, waste of talent, it just made her look terrible. The classroom bully must have been someone on the staffs son, he was one of the worst child actors in a long time. The spiders in the scenes were stupidly CGI'd. The characters themselves like the main boy was 8 years old, who was scared and bullied, was able to suddenly change his personality so drastically by the end, ridiculous. It's on my worst movies of 2023, so far for me.

Started strong ended terribly
29 October 2023
I thought this show was very funny. I enjoyed each characters story and how new characters came into the show. I enjoyed Shannon, Mr and Mrs. Kim's humor. The show itself had me laughing at dialogue that I didn't expect. The fake accents and silly misconceptions people put on particular races is pretty funny. I was very disappointed at the last 2 episodes. The show ended in the worst way and made me annoyed. Why did they not finish everyone's story line? I hate shoes that come out strong and then end flat and leave it open ended. I would like to have had better endings to other characters and not just the few that they put in the last 2 episodes. I felt like they rushed the relationships at the end and the store situation with Jung.

Good but not scary
22 October 2023
I don't know why the scores are extremely high, this was good, not great. The movie was just ok, nothing horror. I liked the idea of the hand and some twists but that's about all. I enjoyed the movie being done in Australia too which makes it feel just a little creepier than American movies these days. The movie just seemed a bit too predictable and I could see where it was going from the start. I felt slightly insulted by the directors to think that we wouldn't figure the movie out by the first part with the family dynamic. The movie was a bit dull for me, not scary at all. People giving it a high rating is misleading. One or two good parts, the rest was filler drama. Not scary at all, one time watch for me.
