Grotesque (2022)
Not for the faint of heart
A great watch if you love gore, horror with a comedic spin. This Indi won't disappoint. The entertainment level is high and characters are colorful and corky. I personally love the style and wardrobe of the film as it give it a unique flare. It's not for everyone but those who are into indys in the horror genre would certainly appreciate this hidden gem. The lead actress is amazing and charismatic. The little girl in the movie is the best and gives a memorable performance with Mildred like kindred spirits. Overall I think this movie is great and you should give it a chance of your into this sorta thing. Spoiler alert, Mildred looks hot in her bikini! Who knew someone could make polka dots look so killer... Literally can't wait for grotesque 2.
Blonde (2022)
What did I just watch?
It made her seem like a nitwit with no brain. The lead although gorgeous and talented does not look a thing like Marilyn at all. I don't understand why they cast someone who looks nothing like her or her mannerisms. It was disturbing that someone could make a film like this that is purely made up to make her look like this... I mean she's dead and she cannot defend herself. It's pretty trashy. The portrayal was trashy as well. It's a shame because the cinematography and style is phenomenal although I'm not sure why some was in black and white while some was in color. It seem to be all over the place unless I'm missing something. In my opinion it's not good at all and is as trashy as a news tabloid magazine.
Dirty Little Secret (2022)
Good topic and amazing actors
Love that this is a movie about hoarding. The actors were incredible and the story was unpredictable. I understand why she wouldn't call for help at the end of the day she was a teenager not fully developed and she had been conditioned since childhood to hide this secret. I think it was beautifully done and is realistic to the years of trauma Lizzie's character endured therefore in a state of shock couldn't reason being she was a child for 1 and 2 a victim of childhood trauma along with wanting to please her mother at any cost out of grief and shock. I really hope there will be a second movie because I think it had hints of the older sister with some of her mother's traits. I would be interested to see how the three children cope with this trauma in the aftermath.
