And Never Let Her Go (2001 TV Movie)
8/10
Capano was not her boss
4 March 2007
Thomas Capano was not Anne Marie's boss Tom Carper, the Governor was. That is the reason the Feds became involved, he called Clinton and asked him to get the Feds involved in the case. I lived outside of Philadelphia at the time so the case was front page news every day. I also read Ann Rule's book and saw the "City Confidential" segment on A&E. Tom Capano was a megalomanic(sp.), an uber-controller and a monster. He claimed to love Ann Marie but all he wanted was someone that he could control. When she wouldn't let him do that anymore he killed her, the ultimate form of control. I think it's a waste of money that he is still alive.

Murder of Innocence (1993 TV Movie)

based on a true story
28 July 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was based on a true story about Laurie Dann who shot a classroom full of children. If I remember correctly and I may not(lol) The Boomtown Rats based their song "I Don't Like Mondays" on her story. Being a teacher, when the teacher says "Why didn't she shoot me?" I cried because I think that's the way I would feel if someone did that to my students. It's sad that her situation had to get to that point for her to get the help she so desperately needed. It reminds me of a case in PA where a woman shot people in the Springfield Mall. She was mentally unstable but she kept being released and then she was able to obtain a gun. I wonder what happened to the real Laurie? If anyone knows please post it, thank you.
