Marianne (2019)
Scary but lacks story
People are overhyping this show and making it seem more than it's supposed to be.
To be concise:
- Transitions are disgusting
- Storyline doesn't make much sense
- Actors are very bad and lack depth
Clique (2017)
Don't waste your time.
One of the worst shows I have seen.
This doesn't make any sense at all. The writers seemed to have tried creating a dark, dramatic drama but came up producing a long series about depressed people drinking and just having sex.
The characters are boring and their dialogue is usually short and just dragged out. Nothing makes sense. Main character is very annoying and just quiet and walks around. There is no emotion, no energy just nothing. I did hope for some kind of energy or moment that would catch my attention but was left clueless and angry.
I really don't understand how the rating is so high as most of my friends regularly watch BBC iPlayer shows and can confirm this is the worst show produced by BBC THREE. I didn't even finish it because it was that bad.
This does not portray the youth or university at all. It's just rich snobs being boring and trying to be mysterious. It is horrible.
Kapringen (2012)
Amazing and my all time favourite.
I was initially not interested in watching the film as I saw it on BBC iPlayer for the week, but completed it.
This film is brilliant and the director knows how to create beautiful scenes that leave the user sympathising for the characters. I was unable to take my eyes away and the ending left me longing for more.
Let the language barrier not fool you as English subtitles will be your full knight in shining armour throughout the film. You will enjoy this film and really give it a try.
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013)
Meh. Not exceptional.
Was very reluctant when it came to watching this as I had seen the horrible rating. I actually saw Anchor Man 2 directly after the first film, so I was able to see a clear difference.
**SPOILER-FREE SECTION**
BAD: - Acting feels forced. Ron Burgundy isn't the same anymore. Seems to swear a lot more and scream for no reason. Brick is annoying. - Random scenes and useless bits thrown into a film that could have had potential. Storyline doesn't make any kind of sense and you'll see the characters as stupid instead of at least reasonable. You'll literally think everyone is a less retarded version of Brick. No interesting quotes but very boring jokes. Repetition of jokes from the first film. But the same jokes get repeated over and over and over and over again..
GOOD: - The initial GNN story is actually interesting. - You'll give light chuckles sometimes. - Burgundy's hair is classy.
*SPOILERS - SECTION BELOW*
BAD: The whole film seemed stupid. The sex Scene - was again lifted from the film. I wanted variety man :( The use of the black family - irrelevant The Shark - irrelevant The short part where he is blind and all of a sudden can see again - Just stupid. Like how did that contribute to anything. The Fight Scene - This was literally lifted from the first film. And for some reason Brick kills everyone by lighting a firecracker and throwing it onto the gasoline where EVERYONE WAS PLACED ON but in the end no one died. So what was the point of Jack even stopping the fight? The Fight Scene (again) - Just because Jack was stopped by Channel 9 News, it doesn't mean that all the other anchors would stop fighting. The Fight Scene (again) - Why would the Ex- Lover of his wife save his life?
GOOD: - His son is a pretty cool guy. For some reason can never look Ron in the eyes though. - Ron's hair is classy. Like always.
