Zhou (2022)
Who's holding the camera and why?
This movie shouldn't be a mockumentary as the many cameras and angles it shows are simply not justified. Directors tried to creat an Asian Paranormal Activity meets The Grudge, but it doesn't make sense. If they wanted to make this video the mothers video they had to be loyal to the idea and not to add a thousand unjustified cameras that came out of nowhere showing past and present without explanation. Sure, people will say: oh that's an artsy movie so it doesn't have to make sense with the timing ... nop. It's just badly done and directed. Don't bother. Couldn't watch til the end.
Las niñas de cristal (2022)
Hum... nop
Two young ballerinas obsessed with each other, who, in the face of a big debut, develop an unhealthy and schizophrenic bond... I think we've seen this movie before!
You Belong to Me (2021)
Same old
Same old movie about a supposed to be manipulative story that could be solved at the first minute with just a... talk: hey, family, he's a dush! This easy way to cut the conversation off makes the script looks just lazy. Of course there are ways of manipulate people but writes need to do more than just make characters look vague and awkwardly silent!
Alone (2020)
Bad choices of scaring beats
I really liked the first 10 minute, promising story, good acting, not too over like most thrillers tend to be. Things were going ok until that random hunter guy sees a bleeding girl, obviously scared, punched and hurt asking for help and believes that the crazy psycho that comes out of nowhere is the girls Brother because... he holds a cellphone! Really? It's terrible when the writers try to create too much of a limit situation that ends up being just unrealistic and cheap. Also, instead of just talking to the same man in the car and tell him what happened she decides to stay weirdly quiet like a crazy person! Why?? But I guess that what happens when you have a female character and two men directing and writing her story.
The Private Life of a Modern Woman (2017)
Just no
Dude, just because you use classical music (ALL THE TIME) and make up some nonsense wannabe deep dialogue it does not mean it's an artsy movie!
Furie (2019)
Its just and illusion...
This movie has a really good plot that is spoiled after like 20 minutes as the writers seems to decide to play all the high school cliches for a thriller: guys in masks, boys fight for the princess, an almost rape (that they wrongly used as a hot scene), gangues, sex over electronic music in a club etc. Totally over. Not to mention the end. What does that mean? You become a man after killing people? Women think a real macho is a man who instead calling the police (which he could have done) decide to brutally kill everyone? Just bad!!!!
The Danger of Positive Thinking (2018)
Oh my God
Man, the actress that plays Mallory is so old for the role I actually thought she was "orphaning" them! What a joke.
Baby (2018)
Background song is a turn off
Man, the constant thriller song in the middle of the dialogues is really annoying and it makes the whole production look cheap. Too bad as it's something I would definitely watch. But editors weren't clever on this one.
Left Behind (2014)
Just terrible
Acting was terrible, script was horrendous and the elevator music was the cherry on the top of everything. Even the scenario was bad, it looked like a cheap soap opera production. Of course I couldn't get to the end. Nicolas Cage could do so much better than this!
Perdida (2018)
Ok movie
It wasn't the best movie I've seen... The only fact that connects all these people it's they're all young beautiful super skinny white women. The main character inspires no sympathy into her adventure and sometimes it's just boring to follow her expressionless face. Good entertainment though.
Tomorrow You're Gone (2012)
Painful
A very sexist movie about a weak male character and a pretty female character that strangely tries to have sex with him all the time... It goes no further that that. Its all about them in the car talking bad dialogues that claim to be deep and dark but they're really just bad written. Didn't get to the end. Waste of good actors!
Super Dark Times (2017)
I enjoyed the first half but...
It really disappointed me, the first half is so promising but then... The kid turns into a psycho after the accident?? And the conversation with blood on the face? Oh Lord...
