Halo: Halo (2024)
Season 2, Episode 8
10/10
This is the perfect Halo live action
21 March 2024
This couldn't have ended better and the amount of work that went into this episode is astonishing, the acting, the CGI, the choreography, the views and the planning required to pull it all off is absolutely astonishing.

If this doesn't get another season, I'm going to be very sad. I really have to know what's going to be the continuation of this, well, I could play the games - but I want to experience the world in live-action like this first.

And that comes from a gamer, that's been playing games and know the value and immersion of games. Still, this delivers such a believable world that it beats even that.

Comedies are supposed to be funny.. right?
20 February 2024
What a train-wreck, I don't know where to begin. Well we can start with the fact that there's zero personality with the characters, every single one is stereotypical caricature of themselves. It would be a good idea if the comedy had any delivery or surprises at all, it's all just what you'd expect it to be - flat and over-done, like a pancake with mustard on it - there's no way you'd like it. The only redeeming quality of this show is the art-style and animation, which is great from start to end. About that, it wasn't easy to watch the first episode because the's nothing fun or surprising happening, reminds me of the "modern" Sam & Max games..

Self Reliance (2023)
5/10
Missed potential
13 January 2024
This movie had a lot of premise, great actors, great idea and actually decent execution. The problem is that while 30% of the first part of the movie will hook you, the last 70% will bore you so much you might even get up and walk out of the sofa. I understand that that was both directed and written by Jake Johnson, but if he had more input from another writer, this could have become a cult classic. Instead we're left with something that feels unfinished, lost, confused and plain frankly, not a comedy and more of a "thriller". If they had more ideas to the story, more characters and more drama, this could have been a golden nugget.

Philosophical Sci-Fi mystery
17 December 2023
This isn't your ordinary day-to-day sci-fi, it's more a slow drama on the same road as Stargate Universe - but without the incredible cast. Don't get me wrong though, the cast is fine, the characters are just less interesting and un-useful.

The story is the main focus here though, it starts simple but becomes more and more complicated. The outcome is not as predictable as one may think at first. The pacing is very slow though, they should have built out a much more thorough story so there's less fillers.

I did like the conclusion though but I hope there's a second season coming, this one isn't enough.

UFO Sweden (2022)

Non-belivable "cop"
18 April 2023
UFO Sweden is a charming film that unfortunately falls short due to its portrayal of the police. While the rest of the cast was strong, the police characters felt incredibly unrealistic and poorly acted. It was frustrating to see the inconsistencies in their actions and reactions, and it was clear that the filmmakers struggled with their portrayal. The film also suffered from a number of scenes featuring the police that were cut, which made it difficult to follow the plot at times. Despite these shortcomings, the film's other elements were well-executed, and it was clear that the filmmakers put a lot of effort into it. Overall, UFO Sweden is a decent film, but it would have benefited greatly from better handling of the police characters.

Slow Horses (2022– )

Thoroughly impressed!
18 December 2022
I was thoroughly impressed by the compelling storyline and exceptional performances from the cast. This series follows a group of misfit MI5 agents working in the Slough House, a division for those who have messed up in their careers. Despite their flaws and setbacks, the team comes together to solve complex and dangerous cases with wit, determination, and a bit of humor.

The characters are dynamic and well-developed, each with their own distinct personality and backstories that add depth to the show. The performances from the actors, particularly Nathan Stewart-Jarrett as the sarcastic and quick-witted Jackson Lamb, are top-notch and bring the characters to life.

The plot is fast-paced and full of twists and turns, keeping me on the edge of my seat and eager to see what happens next. The writing is sharp and the dialogue is clever and witty, adding to the overall enjoyment of the show.

Overall, "Slow Horses" is a must-see for fans of espionage and drama. It's a well-crafted and well-acted series that will keep you engaged from start to finish.

None of it is believable and it's emotional therapy all over
13 March 2022
So, it starts where it left off from the previous movie, Spidermans identity is known to everyone. So like any "super hero", living an inconvenient life is not convenient enough so.. having an all powerful friend who can reshape the universe with his powers is convenient, so lets persuade him to "fix" it, what can go wrong?

Turns out, everything and none if needed to happen at all in the first place. Everyone throughout the whole movie have serious emotional baggage and it can't be resolved easily. So everyone sets out on a grandiose therapy session which involves a lot of death that's apparently justified automatically.

The problem with this piece of crap writing getting good reviews, is that they will just keep making more...

The Sinner: Part VIII (2021)
Season 4, Episode 8
10/10
Believable ending
2 December 2021
This season highlights a lot of human behavior, egoism above all, but also fear, fear of isolation, debt, loneliness, guilt with all of the baggage it brings, depression, drug abuse and violence.. and the actors deliver on making it all believable.

How it all ties up makes this one of the greatest endings in the Sinner series, especially emotionally. It doesn't tie up all of the loose ends though, so there's potential for another season that builds upon this further, with higher stakes for Harry Ambrose. I really do hope that happens, however implausible it may seem.

Throw out logic & mystery and replace it all with emotions.
12 March 2021
A bunch of Alien debris falls to earth and binds itself to peoples feelings which creates supernatural phenomenon until the afflicted person comes to his senses.

That's the whole premise and it's just as bad as it sounds, no logic, no mystery.

ruined by a horrible score
24 August 2020
This series has wonderful actors, showing true emotion with love, fear and pain. The cinematography is acceptable and the CGI is forgivable. But what completely ruins the set and settings is the choice of music for each scene. It takes away all of the suspension and feeling from every scene, it ruins the hard work of every person that worked on this series. I really feel like this single stupid thing takes away everything that could have made this series awesome.

absolutely horrible
12 January 2020
I rarely make reviews, but I have to warn others. There's not a moment in the first 3 episodes that I even chuckled, but I can count at least 10 times that I sighed at how bad this is. The writing is bad, the cinematography, the pacing, acting and even ideas. It's just so bad it becomes boring and it's supposed to be a comedy. Just stop.

Incredibly boring drabble
28 August 2018
Every scene is taking it's time to unfold and from scene to scene you don't get any kind of story from it. The "love" parts are the same over and over, it's like watching a scripted match of football where you know what will happen. And when you get the end you're just dissapointed because you knew what was coming... Avoid if you value your time.

A very realistic movie, full of actual suspence and mystery!
5 July 2018
This movie is very gripping and quite emotional, it's a unique ride from start to end.

Actors do a performance that feels like a real conversation, no over-the-top acting to be found here. Add a lot of suspence, mystery and action and you have a mix unlike any other movie that you've seen before.

In short words, this is a MEGAHIT and it's going to go down in history as a classic - I'm absolutely sure about it!

Surprising quality despite HALF the budget!
12 March 2017
I'm actually quite shocked at what the studio managed to accomplish here.

We have highly regarded actors making their best of a script that is too short, a budget that is too small. Yet they still manage to fit it all into a well knit movie that is entertaining, dark, gritty and as exciting as it can be in the short time that the movie lasts.

I honestly cannot see any way that they could have done it better and it's a shame they didn't have more time to polish this into something great. It has a ton of potential and the world of under have had it for a long time.

Considering that this have gotten half the budget from the previous movies, i would figure that this is the last of the series...

Deadly Honeymoon (2010 TV Movie)

Terrible male actor.
23 September 2011
I have seen a few movies and TV-series that stars Summer Glau, Terminator: The Sarah Connor chronicles, Serenity and The Cape. She does a terrific job with all of these character. And even in this low-budget movie she does a good character, but the problem does not seem to be Summer, but rather the male actor she is playing against. He is very 2 dimensional, there is no natural charm, no feelings expressed in the face and he seem to nervous and too rushed to get into character.

I understand that this is a very low budget film, but even the directing and script is on par with such a low budget movie. I just wish the male actor was someone else, it would have risen the movie to another level.

4/10 because of a good enough script and Summer Glau's performance.

Warning, 5.2 should be 1/10.
20 February 2011
I went into this film because of Corbin Bernsen, since i liked him in the series "Psych". I have never seen such lousy acting coming from him, though, i have to say, he is the best actor in this film.

The "action" moments in the film is disastrous! When you see someone using a gun you expect more of a mess than a pee gun makes, perhaps even some blood, but in this movie it's more of a puff and a red dot.

The camera work is terrible, i almost fell asleep waiting for panning shots of cars and a house. Why would i want to stare at that for 20 seconds? I'm here to watch a movie, with dialog and content not scenery.

Terrible altogether, should be at the bottom worst films of all time, but it will probably never get that many votes.
