Beyond Fury (2019)
3rd and best
Blue ray showing the quality picture helping the 3rd film in the Gallio trilogy the best one.
The acting has caught up big time and the cinematography is up there with any TV drama made recently.
Looks really good and remember this is a mans dream to make these films and it's not written by highly paid script writers and Darren produced and directed these films.
A lot of work and I think he does a brilliant job under massive budget constraints.
I think with the right backing and scripts and enabling Darren to work with more professional actors his film making could be so much more impressive.
Maybe in the future D Ward could win many more...
A Wards..
P.S Reg Hollis from the Bill innit too ;-)
A Day of Violence (2010)
Does what it says on the tin
I dont understand the pitiful 1 star review?
I'm no professional film critic and I either like or dislike films without it changing my life.
Darrens films are a low budget gore fest based on his passion for the genre including Italian 70s style film making.
When you have such a small budget and limited access to seasoned professionals you can only work with what you get.
The guys do a good job for their ability and I didnt expect anything else.
Watching sudden fury from 1998 in 2020 does look a bit dated and the acting was a bit ropey back then.
ADOV Is a much better quality picture with newer tech and the acting is a lot better.
Darren's films are no worse than the Rise of the foot soldier style franchise which use more seasoned pros and a bigger budget and I find them watchable even if the so called critics dont.
I enjoyed Blair witch 1st time round too not knowing was fake ;-)
People who watch Darren's 3 films need to appreciate what he is trying to achieve and respect the efforts of someone realising his dream and has something to be proud of.
A Christmas Carol (2019)
Explains the missing bits
1st episode in and as I have all the film versions and have watched too many times this tv version was a must.
I think.its great the way they seem to fill in all the gaps from the films especially giving "life" to a dead and restless Jacob Marley.
The people who put disappointed reviews clearly just dont get it.
Forget the films and embrace a really good new look at a brilliant tale.
