Walking Against the Rain (2022)
Post apocalyptic rollercoaster
If you're looking for a film that has you invested in the first few minutes this is the film for you. From the amazing mind of writer/director Scott Lyus this is a great film that takes you on a emotional rollercoaster.
The film follows two main characters Blair (Sophia Eleni) & Tommy (Reece Douglas) who are outstanding in their roles, trying to navigate their way across barren land to find each other with nothing but a radio mic to keep them in contact, with batteries running low they have to trust each other to make it through and if that is not enough the whole time they are be tracked by the evil of the shadow in the dark The Forsaken.
From great cinematography to fantastic casting, this is a great film, that shows the strength of humanity in the face of evil. Huge congratulations to Scott Lyus and his cast and crew for a fantastic film.
Silently Within Your Shadow (2015)
Creepy indie horror short
There's nothing better to make a film creepy than bringing in a ventriloquist doll with a mind of it's own! For just a 15 minute film It keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish Thanks to writer and director and Scott lyus and from the great cast to excellent cinematography, If you like horror shorts, I definitely recommend this film.
Black Mass (2020)
Thought provoking atmospheric horror!
This has to be one of my favourite short horrors of 2019, from the Amazingly talented Scott Lyus comes a thought-provoking, spine tingling horror film, this film deals with the very hard subject of depression but it has been done in such a beautiful way, from the outstanding cinematography to the eerie soundtrack this film has everything you want from a short horror, it's a must see!
Echoes of the Passed (2017)
A supernatural whodunnit!
If you love a character based supernatural horror then this is the film for you. I love how this film was mainly filmed in one room with a group of characters just sat around talking about what horrors had happened in the house in the past, The characters really bring the film to life, I also love the small doses of wit that was thrown in. This film is very spooky from the start with excellent cinematography and a fantastic and very eerie soundtrack which keeps you on the edge of your seat till the very end, And I have to admit I quite like the abrupt ending as it keeps you wanting more. A very good atmospheric short horror!
Homeless Ashes (2019)
Powerful thought-provoking movie
There are not enough words to express how great this film is, bringing such awareness of homelessness and domestic violence. From the outstanding cast who put so much into the characters and bring them to life on the screen, to the hauntingly moving soundtrack and outstanding cinematography. Marc Zammit and his team but their hearts and souls into this film, it's a definite must-see film.
