Freshwater (2016)
Uhhh,,, well,,,,,,,,,,,,
The other reviewers have said it all. What a shame,, but,, Zoe saves this clunker from complete failure. She is great in everything she does,, and I have seen every one of her other films~!~! A bit confused why she executive produced this, but, there are more producers than there are actors. Guessing this movie went straight to video. Tons of plot holes, but they are inconsequential compared to the rest of the package. I shouldn't grouse, since I have never produced a movie, nor have I even been IN one,,but,,, ummm,,,,, this one is for Zoe fans only,, and die hard fans, at that...
Remember Me (2016)
Unforgivable
No excuse for not crediting Martha Plimpton as Ally's Mom, in the first scenes of this movie. She reminds me soo much of Kyra Sedgwick, and is an integral character. Glaring oversight,,,
Path of Destruction (2005)
Can't review this title
Looked for the dvd on Amazon and Ebay, but,, it seems it did not even make the "direct to rental" choice. The interest to see it, was from Chris Pratts' interview with the sound engineer on Jurassic-Fallen Kingdom. Chris Murphy, who has worked on Harry Potter, and Fast & Furious films,,, says his favorite was THIS movie,, Path Of Destruction. From the other reviews, I am guessing he said that as veiled humor. They both probably worked Path for scale, to fill some idle time in their schedules. Dunno,,, jus' sayin' . . .
Wrong Side of Town (2010)
May not be Oscar material,,, but,,
Hey,,, it's fun to watch,,, it's a Van Dam vehicle, and he is credible. Dave Bautista elevates this movie at least three notches,, and Stormy Daniels is a nice touch. Puzzling, now that Stormy has been in two main stream movies, but, she doesn't yet have her own page. Wondering why that is. A glaring omission by IMDb,, or just an oversight that has not been caught. Dunno. Traci Lords made the switch and it was a good decision. Stormy waited a bit too long, but still has a chance. Dunno. Guessing Bruce Willis turned this script down, in favor of Death Wish, but,, Van Dam is a likable guy~!~!
Snatched (2017)
Two Stars --
Goldie is always a pleasure~!~! Chris Meloni is always great~! Joan Cusack is great,,, but,,,,,, nah.
Jean-Claude Van Johnson (2016)
Amazon produced series?
Why is this NOT available on Amazon? Those who have seen it, recommend it, but, it is not available on dvd. Surely Amazon is missing out. I am missing out, and probably a lot of other people who would like to see this series.
JCVD is one great movie,, and the Van Johnson set, would seem to continue this idea. So,,,,,,,,,, What's The Deal??????
The Railway Children (1970)
Wonderful Movie
Other reviewers covered everything great, about this movie. I saw it once, on broadcast TV, even before the advent of video tape,, and always wanted to own it. In the ensuing forty seven years,,, for some reason, it has NEVER been available in America; Region 2 - England - only. The Big Questions is -- WHY?? Why doesn't a multi-national outfit like Amazon, have an American format for this DVD? WHY???
Escapement (1958)
stinker?
Glad I missed it. Sounds like the earlier version of BRAINSTORM,,, Natalie Woods last film. I guess they can't all be blockbusters, but I always liked Mary Murphy. She seemed more "real" in Beach Head, and I will have to go back and look at When Worlds Collide again. Too bad about Dale Robertson; he should have treated her better.
Hanover Street (1979)
A nice little nugget
Everyone else has already covered most of the pros and cons of this film. I thought it was great. I bought it for the flying sequences and everything else was a plus. Lesley-Ann Down was perfect casting, although, I could see Glynis Johns or Jenny Agutter equally perfect, if they had been chosen; if they had auditioned. Patsy Kensit was just as perfect as a ten year old Sarah, and I could imagine Emma Watson in the part, had she not just been born when the film was released. Patsy, of course, was Mel Gibsons romantic interest in Lethal Weapon II. The director/writers commentary from Peter Hyams, is filled will interesting background, about this one, and film making in general. Here are my Five Stars!~!~~!
