Killing It (2022)
Surprisingly grasping
The first two episodes left me uninterested, however the season does pick up fast! I liked how the different sub plots of each character were shown and then brought together. I wasn't really interested in the snake competition all season - except for the last episode! I loved the chemistry between Craig and Claudia and they are both funny in their own ways. I was surprised by how much I liked this show considering the first episode was bland and I hope there is a next season!
Community (2009)
Surprisingly good
I have always heard people talking about this show and seen promos for it but for some reason never gave it a chance. After getting into a few seasons I have no idea why I never watched it earlier. The writing is incredible in every aspect- the characters, plots, and even the quick dumb jokes that are quickly brushed off. I found myself laughing at most of the episodes, and the first four seasons are the best TV episodes out there!
Jersey Shore (2009)
Super entertaining
I was looking for a reality show that could play in the background while doing busy work, but I couldn't stop watching them! It is extremely entertaining and way before its time!
Hollywood (2020)
Very entertaining
At first I didn't think I would like this show, but after the second episode I was hooked. It leaves you sad, inspired and entertained. Looking forward to the next season!
Bored to Death (2009)
Awesome
Although this is an old show now, I always tend to watch it every few years.
It has such a unique sense of humor and story line, it makes it super easy to watch. The three main characters have great chemistry and the plots of each episode are very entertaining.
Veep (2012)
Hilarious
Julia Louis-Dreyfus absolutely nails this character. She really makes the entire show believable, with all the other characters falling to their knees for her. The chemistry her character has with other characters make it interesting and likeable. It has made me laugh out loud more than any other show!
Barry (2018)
So entertaining
I was not sure about this show at first, since it has more of a silly storyline but Bill Hader's talent steals the show. The chemistry of all the characters as well as the actors that play them helps the production immensely. Barry is just as suspenseful as it is funny, and both worked together to achieve a very unique and valuable show. The silly interactions make me laugh, yet the plot thickens and keeps me on my toes. Can't wait for season three!
The Outsider (2020)
Nothing happens
This has been such a disappointment. Whenever something is about to happen in the show, the episode ends and/or its a fluke. Nothing happens. You are confused the whole time, and right when you think you understand there is nothing to hold onto. This show is kind of like Stranger Things, but with elders and with a worse storyline. I thought this was going to be like the book it is based on but they had to "add in episodes" to make it a full series, which made it anticlimactic. It is also way too far fetched that Holly figured out El Coco in one episode. Then.. nothing happened.
Although the acting is not bad and the production is done well, the plot is not coherent and they tried to fill up the time with character development that is a waste of time- rarely has anything to do with the actual story. I think this series should have been half of the episodes. A mini series could have eliminated all of the weird 'developments' that are irrelevant and slow.
