The Foreigner (I) (2017)

The Foreigner

Warning: Spoilers
Just watched two Jackie Chan films I'd added to watch list on Netflix back to back and, IMO, glad I saved this as the latterly option of the two.

I was gripped throughout the film and thought it was a well written film wherein actors purveyed outstandingly convincing performances from the get go. I've only seen JC in a serious role in a couple of films and yet, his ability to portray his character - action role (believe his stunts always hits the mark) aside, was, for me, I think, truly impressive.

Whoever chose the actors for the parts they played did a great job in their selection and, as always, it's a big thanks from to all involved in this industry in whatever capacity, creating, producing and releasing, an action thriller film; that affords ordinary folk like me to switch off from the outside world and for a short time become enmeshed in onscreen entertainment like this during their allotted downtime, is very much appreciated.

IMO.....Well worth watching.

Skiptrace (2016)

Skiptrace
29 August 2021
Finally got around to watching two Jackie Chan films I'd added to watch list on Netflix over bank holiday weekend and had forgotten how funny and entertaining Jackie Chan could be.

I recall last time I watched a film of his (can't recall film) a few years back I enjoyed it but found one of the other actor characters had been written in a way that was trying to emulate a younger version of how Jackie Chan came to be well known and, so for me, I didn't enjoy that film quite as much. The other actor, to their credit wasn't so bad acting wise but in that particular film, although they were doing there own modern day take on JC style, it didn't quite work but that's just IMO.

This time round watching skiptrace a few years after it was released reminded me just how great it is seeing JC on the screen being just as funny and entertaining as has been throughout most of his action comedy films. So yep, found it to be an enjoyable film throughout plenty of action - how he keeps up his fitness regime to be as active and supple is beyond me. I let my Hapkido fall by the wayside as I aged ..just maintaining fundamentals... and that knackers me out... so hats off to JC for putting the likes of me to shame on maintaining the fitness front.

Btw...The outtakes at the end were funny and very insightful esp when stunts don't go to plan you also get to see scenes where the actors can and do often experience some pain in the film making process.

Oh yeah.... Thanks for all involved in this industry as it's your sheer stamina, endurance and commitment to the profession in whatever capacity, that enables ordinary folk like me to switch off from the world and spend a little of our free time immersed in the theatrics of on screen entertainment.

Mythic Quest: Everlight (2021)
Season 1, Episode 11

You're 'larpin' hilarious...
26 April 2021
How the heck these guys manage to embrace their characters never fails to amaze. I've met larpers in real life and often find their confidence to embrace role play especially in portraying characters from medieval times to be an awesome ability and so my hat goes off to those professionals who pick up the mantle and, allow ordinary folks like me the opportunity to escape from reality and zone out for a short spell through tv shows like this is highly addictive entertainment.

Hopefully, larpers appreciate how much time and effort is applied to immersive persona characters that observers like me tend to notice so in this instance having met larpers in real life not only do us viewers get the opportunity to see actors perform the ongoing tv characters development on screen but a further backdrop is encased in this episode wherein the actors embody the spirit of a portrayal of everyday people drawn together through workspace in order to earn a living whilst at the same time adopting the roles of characters whose enjoyable portrayal of a larpers antics, would perhaps be their way of relaxation and downtime from the everyday stresses of work and whatever life throws their way.

For me personally I found this episode to be enjoyable and entertaining. Looking forward to season two that's shortly due to be screened and as alway sign off wishes of good health to all the people involved in the creation of a show I may have accidentally stumbled upon but seems, like many others, to have become enthralled with viewing. Keep well and keep safe and thanks for providing some well needed light hearted entertainment.

Dark Tower movie
4 December 2020
Added this film to my watch list a couple of weeks back and clicked to watch by accident lol. I'm one for thinking watch something and make up your own mind whether you've read the book or not. TBH I didn't even know it was based on a book it was the brief summary about the film that led me to add it to the watch list and so as a form of escapism this kind of film, for me, definitely ticked the boxes.

Matthew who I once read somewhere wanted to fine tune his acting skills to being conveyed as more serious an actor on screen certainly seemed to display the character as a quite formidable force and was just as enjoyable to watch as when he plays lighter hearted character roles though IMO it would have been great to see him occasionally add a bit of comical and mischievous natured - unless , I suppose, written in the book version his character doesn't cater for that kind of entertaining appeal. Idris Elba, I recall seeing in an action film once with Jason station and, on that occasion he was playing the bad guy role where I felt his character to be quite irksome so it was a pleasant surprise seeing his acting abilities be better utilised playing the gunslinger role. The young whipper snapper who played the other leading character seemed to also play his role convincingly well too. If you like a bit of action mixed with sci-fi and an easy to follow storyline to tune into and zone out for 90 mins if only to escape from everyday life then it's perhaps a film you may enjoy. If your persnickety and focussed on attention to detail even in your leisure time then maybe your scale of enjoyment will be lower than the chosen rating I gave the film.

Thanks to all involved in the creation of this film the work involved imho paid off and made me walk away from the tv glad I'd chosen to accidentally click on this film today from my watch list. In this neck of the woods, we are easing out of the second lockdown and soon the festive period will be upon us. To all in the making of this film and the entire entertainment indisutry I send my thanks to allowing people like me the opportunity to unwind through entertaining films and tv shows and send glad tidings with the firm hope everyone manages to spend some time around those close to you. Keep well and keep safe

Psych 2: Lassie Come Home (2020 TV Movie)
10/10
Lyrics...'Day dream believer and ....' a 'psych' film makes it home]
24 November 2020
Psych 2 the movie, for me, wasn't just a film to purchase through prime video as a way to while away the free time invoked by a second lockdown in this neck of the woods....

It's become a preferable choice of mine to spend a nominal amount via an online streaming service to tune into and effectively zone out of the real world for a short spell and....just like when it was enjoyable as a youngster to sit down and become enthralled in our four legged friend (Lassie) who seeks adventures and often sets out on a journey to which the viewer may or may not have some idea what it may in all likelihood entail, offers this viewer a snapshot of how the parents of their rambunctiousness child could, for a short spell at least, placate the quick boredom aspect placing them occasionally either at the cinema or the tv to settle down to good old lassie adventures ... the pertinence?...

Well fast forward four decades and this olda, bolda, yet still none da ruddy wiser, child at heart, grown up (? Ok the latter is questionable) now seems to have attached this very reminiscent sentiment from lassie movie days to the enjoyment that is felt when tuning into an intoxicated pleasure that I tend to find from seeing the capers of the James, Dule et al., resume their shenanigans on screen.

Although a late comer to the tv show, I must admit am thankful that the whole team that recreationally endeavour to 'psyche you out in the end' never fail to invoke through the film version a gentle reminder of why viewers of the tv show began to tune into in the first place. The fact that this year even amid the covid-19 pandemic, we viewers who eagerly await the return of the cast to screen were able to get a much needed booster and alternative (and I imagine considerably cheaper than the pharmaceutical variety) IMO morst gratifying 'fix' of blissful escapism during a lockdown period is incredibly fortunate. I was able to access the film via prime - a bonus was being able to chill out amid the second lockdown and tune in not long after my birthday so that was a belated treat for me.

Gotta say it's a great second film post show instalment for all the viewers who enjoyed the tv show but IMO even as a stand alone movie for those who aren't familiar with the tv show it's just as entertaining - having a sense of humour of course really helps too lol.

Looking forward to what the next instalment is going to incorporate. Keep well and keep safe to all those involved in creating a very entertaining film.

Once Upon a Time: The Song in Your Heart (2017)
Season 6, Episode 20
10/10
I got rhythm, I got music ... who could ask for anything more.....in storybrooke
11 November 2020
Well the second lockdown from covid is in full swing and thankfully my decision to sign up to Netflix has been incredibly helpful in combatting the extra free time. Bingeing out on a few shows I'd wanted to catch up on for so long has been a mostly enjoyable experience and though I like musicals I'm one of the many who doesn't often see them live on stage at the theatres so a chance to watch an incorporated musical around the show's storyline for a non savvy musical person like myself was an absolute treat.

I tend to browse fellow contributors reviews after I've watched a show or film to see if anyone perceived similar thoughts or glance those who saw something I didn't and when I do occasionally submit my own review it's not to provide spoilers it's just to offer how a lay person like myself came to their own conclusion when rating a tv programme or film. My obvious reasons for full rating is going to be biased as I thoroughly enjoy the show and now as I reach the last to episodes of the season finale I'm still as transfixed as I was after the first episode aired. Overall I rated the show a nine but for this particular episode it had to be given a well deserved full marks placing. I admit I am in awe and even a tad green with envy at the capabilities of everyone involved in creating tv shows and films that bring a lot of delight to ordinary folk like myself and really do allow the opportunity to break from the real world and escape through the incredible works of the entertainment industry.

You don't have to be a musical enthusiast to enjoy this episode so long as you enjoy going along for the ride you're going to be a little bit more entertained than usual in this episodes. I hope for all involved they found this particular creation was enjoyable experience to produce as imho I felt the hard work invoked paid off tremendously. I'm almost reaching the final season and keen to embrace the final battle of this season's finale and, must admit a little bit sad that once I reach the end of the final season I will be a tad remiss to know that unless they have occasional returning episodes there will be little opportunity to enjoy revelling in such a splendid show - a smidge soppy to say that I know but I'm man enough to admit I have a soft side too lol.

Once upon a time
2 November 2020
I finally succumbed to subscribing to Netflix and when I saw once upon a time there, I have to say I spent most of Sunday bingeing out on a tv show I'd only ever seen two seasons of and, didn't realise just how much I'd missed / thoroughly enjoyed watching this particular show.

I relaxed most of Sunday and became once again entranced in what is IMO a well written show based around well known fairytale characters that recruited actors of all abilities and skill to pull off a remarkable tv programme. There's still quite a few episodes for me to watch which is great as it seems in our neck of the woods of the globe the covid pandemic indicators are showing signs of another lockdown period so at least during that time this show, alongside a few other shows I've added to my list on Netflix, will help as a way of escape from the humdrum of a rather precarious 2020.

Take Two (II) (2018)

'Take Two' truly entertaining actors and you won't need to scramble for any paracetamol lol
23 October 2020
Just watched episode one and don't usually read reviews but today I read dimwinnie and couldn't believe abc has cancelled the show. I'll watch the season for same reasons dimwinnie review mentioned but gutted to find out started watching a show that won't air for a few seasons. Both actors mentioned in their review are great to watch and I must admit I'm extremely jealous that Eddie retains his handsome features as he gradually ages - some people are just raggy sods when it comes to good looking genes that aren't even mildly affected by the ageing process - again just plain raggy! Lol.

I thought this was going to be a good alternative to Castle which is a show I miss and lasted a good 8 seasons under abc regime. Thank goodness Fox are doing the minority report series. It's not quite the same as this show but just as enjoyable viewing with good characters like this show has. Oh well better make the most of the remaining episodes. If you liked Castle and found it was entertaining, then I'm sure you'll enjoy how the creators and actors casted in this show have also brought an hour of escapism through the enjoyment of 'take two' - nope not two paracetamol silly - go on give it a gander and make up your own mind - no paracetamol necessary haha.

Edge of tomorrow- live, die repeat
19 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Ok so full disclosure I enjoy sci-fi and, I make no apology for enjoying the opportunity to escape from the humdrum everyday life for a short spell and find sci-fi a go to way of relaxing by watching sci-fi films and shows, so I suppose my review is a tad biased that way.

I try not to view reviews prior to watching something myself as I, like the rest of humanity, have a mind of my own and prefer to draw my own conclusion. In this instance, having opted again to make up my own mind, I thoroughly enjoyed the film not because it had the likes of Jonas Armstrong (from uk Robin Hood tv show) Emily Blunt and, of course the infamous Nicholas Cage - had you there mc'observe and become a tad persnickety too much lol and a lead role, of course, being Tom Holland? ...Ok ok get on with it - the unmistakable Tom Cruise all of whom who I recall enjoying watching see their acting ability come to life on screen and usually results in my appreciation for their work along with all involved in creating shows and films as without their skill set I'd find, during this worldwide pandemic less interesting options in which to escape from reality.

I don't wish to break down the pros and cons, nor give any spoilers... I just want to say, IMO, that whatever your view of people's reviews, it's down to choice and for me, for reasons mentioned, I personally found I was entranced throughout the film so would say give it a gander and make up your own mind.

Btw wasn't aware this film was released a few years back and the fact it had escaped my attention until it was recommended via online streaming based around my previous viewing habits of late, indicates my mind, being as some reviewers perceive people who enjoy sci-fi to be, little more than a numpty was perhaps elsewhere at the time of the films release so I for one can't say because it had to certain actors in play it made the film more appealing. It's the whole shebang that brings a film or a show to my attention and of the 400 or so films, shows I've rated on IMDb, it's one of a small number I set aside time to prove a personal review alongside the ascribed rating I chose to give the film.

Well done for all those involved in this industry for bringing this film to one numpty viewers screen. It was and is always appreciated as you all work hard in your jobs be it on screen or behind the scenes and during this worldwide pandemic sci-fi numpties like me as some reviewers might describe us, very much appreciate the opportunity to escape for a brief period through entertainment that makes the experience enjoyable. Keep well, stay healthy and keep safe and thanks again for making films and shows like this happen.

The Lost Room (2006)

The lost room sci-fi min series
18 October 2020
This show came to my attention during the initial COVID-19 lockdown as a recommended viewing option based on previous shows ive enjoyed watching over the last few months that I'd usually not have time to see, so I added it to my watch list but no surprise to say as the restrictions eased, like many people, other aspects took over again.

Covid pandemic seems to be hitting the world hard at the moment, so, as more restrictions have recently came into play to try and control the spread, I took the opportunity to watch the first episode of the mini series and, once I started, this turned into a binge viewing - yup I admit I do like sci-fi and, boy was I transfixed.

I have seen three of the actors well known in other popular tv shows and have to say Julianna, Peter and Roger 'the weasel', played their roles very well. The storyline is interesting throughout and can't believe this show was aired over a decade ago.

It's amazing what shows over the last few years have been made and thankful that there are plenty online through streaming services like The Lost Room, now available to keep us entertained and a lot of them I'd never come across before.

If, like me you enjoy escaping, enjoy sci-fi and have some time on your hands I'd highly recommend having a gander at this mini series.

Impastor (2015–2016)
9/10
Impastor 2015-2016 ought, IMO, to have extended way past two seasons....
13 October 2020
As second wave of covid-19 is upon us wherever we are around the world, some small comfort is access to online streaming that offers some small relief by way of a chance to binge out on shows that for some, like myself, had escaped our notice. This show is one of a number of streaming recommendations based around previous viewing and though I didn't care much for Michael as he portrayed the role of lex Luther in Smallville, I have to say this show really did seem to broaden his capabilities in his chosen profession.

I. For one, would not even want to attempt to pursue as it seems an arduous task; though I do admire all those involved (be it those on screen enlisted as characters for our entertainment or just as importantly all the other people involved in bringing these tv shows or big screen films to life in this field of work for they provide us ordinary folk the chance to u wind and escape from everyday life for short spells - thank you

Michale and Sarah Rue; a most enjoyable actor who I have been fortunate to watch on screen in a number of shows over the last couple of years have brought to life the characters of Impastor in a most comedic and IMO highly entertainingly funny format. You don't have to be a Christian person to appreciate the humour of the writers of the show but if you are then, if you have a modicum of humour, I'm sure that you'll find it even more entertaining.

There are other members of the cast, most of whom, I haven't come across before but I'm sure as my viewing habits increase, especially with Covid-19 limiting social interaction options, these actors will become familiar faces to me. Bonita is someone I recal from watching the hilarious 5 seasons of the tv show 'Chuck' ( not 'Chucky' that spook little ventriloquist doll) where she played, like Michael, a completely different character was just an good in this show.

Mircea monroe, David and Mike, I guess, are considered main supporting actors casted to help bring the show's characters to life (apologise for not being savvy about how the entertainment industry works - I just appreciate being able to enjoy moments of escapism) and, though I may not be familiar to their acting it was a joy to be introduced to them along with the whole team of actors (whose names I may not of mentioned sorry) involved in this tv show as those madcap half hour programmes have been great to watch.

Unfortunately there are only two seasons and I'm currently enjoying season two - disheartened to know the series wasn't carried on after 2017. If you want to escape to some comedic and light entertainment then tune into this show and enjoy the capers of Michael et al as, IMO, it's a highly entertaining programme.

The Dresden Files tv show
7 September 2020
Gotta say this show ought to have appeared on terrestrial television and, in its way, just as enjoyable as the likes of charmed and supernatural. Paul Blackthorne better known more recently for his role in Arrow plays his leading role well and as the episodes progressed, IMO I felt the characters became more entertaining. I haven't read the book(s)? having just been informed by a fellow contributor who recently reviewed the show, that they read them prior to watching the tv show so I can't say whether they are anything like the written format and though somewhat ignorant to that fact, I have found the show to be most enjoyable to watch. I agree with other reviewers comments that this is a show that would be great to see return to the screen with the original actors in play.

Didn't know what to expect really yet found the film really good to watch. Chris Evans plays a good role and looking forward to seeing more films where he is just as entertaining without having to don his ' cpt america' suit -though he dons that's great and plays the role exceedingly well. Keane reeves is, as always, incredibly good and the storyline kept me intrigued and forgotten how much I'd missed not seeing him on the screen. Film was released some 12 years back it's just as good to watch over a decade later.

The Blacklist it's 'the sweet' and delectable, one and only, straight to your sofa tv show that gives you a taste of 'the ballroom blitz' ..Now hows that for a season finale!
1 September 2020
Even in these unprecedented times, with the tumultuous pandemic still hot on our tail I was so glad to log in to my tv subscription and see that the writers, producers aligned with a very special guest appearance from the newly appointed 'animation team' cooperatively worked together with the cast and interim crew (most likely constructed of family and friends assigned as 'runners' - ensuring all involved were kept well hydrated, took appropriate breaks and followed strict Covid-19 safely Protocols lol) just to enable avid fans, and followers, of this incredulous show would get to see the completed version of this episode; that would become the season finale. I was impressed and yup, you might have sorta guessed from the review title, a little partial on 'the sweet', the one n only, coming straight to your tv screens, the ballroom blitz.

I see upon watching the seasonal finale, some reviewers were not, for whatever their reason, all together impressed. I guess it's down to personal choice and, for me as a viewer, I wasn't disappointed.

The cast never fail to work their magic and given the short time frame I wasn't disappointed with the animated sketch approach adopted to integrate those I completed scenes and instead filling in the gaps with sections of animated sketches (I have studied a module on computer animation - wasn't what I envisaged at all - and having experienced first hand, the laborious, time consuming, lengthy effort that each frame of rendering incorporates) I can appreciate why the filled-in scenes were animated sketches as opposed to computer generated animation- at least this way the u finished filming scenes could be designated to a number of talented sketch artists to both complete the episode and keep people in work during nationwide lockdown.

My praise to all involved and thanks for keeping this avid follower of the show intrigued in a seasonal finale that, has been written, produced and reformed, in a way that mesmerisingly encapsulates, how adept those involved in this industry continue to be even throughout unprecedented times. Keep well, keep safe as I for one shall look forward to future episodes of this riveting tv programme.

For those who ain't watched the episode yet ....what ya waiting for go watch and decide if it's what you expected - or not! Either way, enjoy.

Romcom was entertaining
23 August 2020
Considering I was really aware the film falls into the romcom genre, IMO it was an enjoyable film. The actors cast for the film seemed to make the storyline work. Bear in mind it was written almost a decade ago by the time I got around to watching the film and as change is constant in our ever changing world, people may view the film differently to how I perceived it to have been written and that is their right to do so. 'M

Im not here to post my political, social or even ethical views, simply rating the film on my own experience of watching what I perceive to be a comedy and, my introduction to the genre termed 'romcom'. Those, who like myself try to be open minded and not a stickler for labels, will probably also choose to rate the film as they perceived it be it for either being funny or not so funny.

IMO this was a film I stumbled across that was well appealing due to the cast line up and, having watched the film, consider to be pleasant entertaining as I clocked out of the real world, spent some time relaxing, temporarily escaping from everyday reality wherein, some much needed respite presented an opportunity to enjoy some much needed prescribed light hearted humour.

Oh look , here comes the 'Prodigal Son'!
7 August 2020
He's back oh Hey Jesus, did they finally give you access to a razor? Lol. Nice to see Liam from walking dead play a different character. It's not a bad show and the cast consists of a great line up.

I've enjoyed watching the Blacklist and even the tv version of Hannibal and even enjoyed the walking dead until Andrew Lincoln left the show so I suppose having watched such shows it's no surprise to realise what led me to become quickly hooked to Prodigal Son.

No spoilers, except ....'oh hell no' - watch episode two to get the reference lol.

Personally, find this tv show consists of good performance from the cast that also includes Lou Diamond Phillips and Michael Sheen.

If only there were more sci-fi shows just as well created, written and starring good convincing actors.

a modern day legal spin twist to the story of David and 'Goliath' ...sticks n stones may break my bones but man it's those lawyers that'll probably kill ya..
6 August 2020
So, this week saw me become engrossed during a 2 day binge out of differing tv shows and films with Goliath. Admittedly, I'd seen the billboard several times yet never, like so many other shows, gotten around to watching it. Gotta say, the chance to watch season 1 uninterrupted was, for me, a real joy. It's not often that I find myself so enthralled in a tv show I start to shout back at the tv screen - as though the characters are going to stop and pause mad, me, nope just bedazzled lol

...well that was what happened as I became embroiled in the programme as though I too was one of the supportive characters ....and, I guess my neighbours probably no longer view me as the quiet, unobtrusive neighbour who just occasionally blasts out a bit of Aerosmith et al when succumbed; albeit with reluctance, to doing the spring cleaning bore ..erm, I mean chore ....Freudian what...

Anyhoo, no spoilers just a viewer letting others considering tuning into the show, from my point of view, it's well worth a gander. The cast are a good bunch of actors who make the show a convincing and interesting show to watch. The story line is well written and the main character reminds of Timothy ? (So rubbish at remembering names) from another tv show I enjoyed watching called Justified and probably why I found this show to be just as intriguing. Give it a gander, imho, it's worth watching.

Knives Out (2019)

Knives out-standing
5 August 2020
Don't usually get drawn to films like this ...- that said, I've even gotten into the remake of the Perry Mason tv show of late too ... so, my tastes ...they r a changing- ...and boy did I enjoy Knives out-standing IMHO. The cast are incredible to watch as each actor portrays their character so well.

I'm not here to imbue others, as far as it goes, we all have different interests ... this is just my own perspective of watching something else outside of what I am usually drawn to watching and, though I'd heard it was a great film from other people, I like anyone else, prefer to make my own mind up. I have rated this film a 10 as I found the film had interesting storylines and the actors characters incredulity were convincing to the point I felt like I was there.

Although ...I'm prone to admit that I'm extremely jealous of captain America actor Chris Evan who is not only, IMO, a handsome bloke who just gets better look as he ages - raggy sod - nonetheless, green eyed monster aside, he's incredibly talented in his profession and everything I've seen him in, purveys his onscreen looks and presence are just so natural. Daniel Crao was great to watch too, stepping comfortably away from his Bond character and, reminding us viewers of his acting ability before the days of 007. As always, Jamie Lee Curtis and Christopher Plummer need no acknowledgement as their acting professional ability speaks for itself. The rest of the cast are a great selection that also enticed me to give the film a whirl.

So, if you like whodunnits your probably gonna love the film and if you don't, give it a gander.. it's a film for me that flew by time wise- which I didn't expect for a whodunnit as I tended to find the creators would drag em out. Thanks to everyone involved in bringing this film to life, it was, throughout, mesmerising.

14 July 2020
Wasn't sure what to make of the show and just went with the flow. IMO found some parts a bit drawn out and maybe fast forwarded occasionally though on the whole I found the show enjoyable binge watching. Upon reaching seasonal finale and seeing a second season appear I thought ....You are wanted...Seems to have further to go and obviously my instincts was...what again? ...Let's see there's only 6 episodes to binge watch on shall I indulge my curiosity? That's settled then, let's continue as my inner voice at the same time shouts out...go on then watch the show ...after all, you gotta wonder...if that was you as a character, upon hearing the phrase 'you are wanted ....you'd be thinking ...what again? ...ok, what have I done this time?... let me think for a minute......wait! ... it would happen to have any thing to do with that ruddy.....(no spoilers watch it for yourself to establish what that ruddy......is ...lol)

The Fix...nope not that sort of 'fix' ...geez
10 June 2020
Great to see actor Breckin, Eric, Marc, Molly and of course Robin all, from other thoroughly enjoyable tv programmes come together and become characters in this tv show I stumbled upon by happenstance.

Personally, for me I find the tv show intriguing and the actors mentioned along with their co-stars, are, IMO, doing great portraying their character roles. It's one of those shows I find myself, from time to time, shouting at the tv come on move your backside, or even wtf? Who wrote this that's not right the police would have picked up on that sooner like I am suddenly some expert writer or novelist lol.

Yep, for me, I become encapsulated in the tv programme and as each episode progresses, I am not only enraptured by the storyline, I'm able to escape from my own humdrum life and caught up in the storytelling.

Give it a gander and see what you make of it for yourself.

Grows on you
5 June 2020
I wasn't sure what to make of this show and perseverance led to me finding that, for me, the show grows on you. Priscilla reminds me a bit of Shannon Docherty who I really liked as a main character in the original tv show charmed. It's personally down to choice and probably for me, liking sci-fi contributes to my own reasoning for becoming a fan of the show. I don't tend to look at user reviews until I've watched something for myself and made up my own mind. Those choosing to give the show low ratings are just a justified as those who, like myself have opted to give a show a higher rating and, that, I guess is down to one's own rationale. Personally, it's thumbs from me as I found it to not to be a bad show to spend watching if you are at a loose end/have some free time; in this instance arising from and, made accessible/readily available as a result of the covid outbreak so give it a gander and decide for yourself. No harm no foul right?

Aptly titled episode is Funny as fzuk
4 June 2020
Really enjoyed watching the re-run of this episode. The camaraderie between the characters just goes from strength to strength. Reminds me of childhood treasure adventures when stories of untold treasures were a pivotal part of growing up. I praise the cast, the writers and all involved in this show for bring yet another highly entertaining show to the tv. Escapism from current covid-19 pandemic at its best.

Afsos..

u know wot...evan cun wait...Nope not quite meatloaf (song) though that tune could aptly be playing alongside the opening/closing credits...haha

Thoroughly entertaining dark comedy thriller that I stumbled across to help fill in the gap for the much missed Psych tv show.

Clearly each show is different and not really comparable per se, nonetheless, for me as a viewer, I I'm smiling as I write this review because I personally found this show just as entertaining as I did the Psych tv show.

The actors are previously unknown to me and found them to be great on screen. My thanks to all members of the team involved in the creation of this highly entertaining series.

Should there be a season 2, then I will certainly be switching off from the real world to enjoy more episodes of this comical programme....

set aside some social time and allow yourself the opportunity to become fully immersed in this entertaining show...

U could always...... 'jump'....' on yer bike.....'
17 May 2020
Comedy, like most genres, is a personal preference and, from my own viewpoint, I had a blast this afternoon as I became immersed in the Car Share onscreen camaraderie that I stumbled across. I guess an upside of the covid-19 pandemic has provided an opportunity to watch various programmes I'd probably have otherwise overlooked...this being one programme where I wasn't disappointed.

Personally, for me as a viewer, I'd be inclined to say Peter Kaye and Sian Gibson are naturals...I'm sure there are other viewers who found the show entertaining and, are with me when I subtly express ....

  • ok maybe not the right use of the word ....pedantic much ........let's adopt the word .....succinctly ...

....when I 'succinctly' convey to Peter and Sian to...'come back my car share buddy......'

Thanks to all involved for much needed laughter.
