This movie is bad. a complete waste of time, talents, money, etc.

Ben Affleck Oh My God! he must have pretty strong strings in Hollywood or some people owe him favor or something, who says he can act???? That part of him being a "bad guy" not even himself believes it.

too much of everything becomes nothing! too much talking fast and saying a lot of nonsense, too many scenes of blood and tortures and shooting, too many people doing nothing, too many plot holes, no excitement, no surprises, no story, it is just a wanna be movie. I completely wasted my time watching it.

And please, who dares to compare this crap with movies like the Godfather, phsyco and others that are real movies. Please be more critical when you recommend a movie.

I was disappointed. The story was lame, the dialogs were plain simple, bad acting, like Lois Lane for example (who told her new boyfriend that her son was his knowing he wasn't, very classy) You never connect with her, she expresses no emotions whatsoever. Brandon was OK, but the problem is Reeves was toooo handsome, and had REAL blue eyes, (Brandon's blue contacts were too obvious, they needed better job there) it is not easy to fill in those boots. Kevin Spacey was wasted, he's such a good actor, and there was nothing there for him, you could see he wasn't even trying very hard. too much romance, too long movie, too boring. The movie tasted a little to the old ones, but not as good, they worked great for the 70's but hellooo were are in 2006! we need something fresh, modern and creative. I mean did Superman return just for this? if they were going to do something new, please be a little more imaginative. 70% of the movie was CG or maybe more, that's why the film makers think they don't need a story, nowadays, because they have the visual effects to fill 70 to 80% of the movie. some of the scenes with visual effects were good, tho. And what is this constant comparison of Superman with Jesus???? Even the scene when superman is beaten up by Lex and his guys reminded me of "the passion of Christ", that was a little too much violent. Remember this movie is more for kids because with a plot so simple and predictable, it can only be meant for kids. Why did they make this movie when they had nothing new to offer???

To those who don't speak Spanish, "matador" means 'killer' in English. That's what the movie is about, Pierce Brosnan is a matador (hit man) that is on his way down, a lonely guy with no manners. He meets Greg Kinnear (Danny) the everyday, married, standard guy and somehow they get involved, i guess because each one has something the other lacks. Danny needs excitement and Julian needs a friend.

This movie really surprised me, i wasn't expecting so much to tell the truth. It is smart, funny and different, it has a taste to dark humor that is very good. The cinematography is great, the performances in general are good, but the surprise of the night is Pierce Brosnan, in his character (Julian Noble) that steals the show. Who would have thought that the 007 could be so funny? this part is perfect for him, you totally believe this character, it is his best work so far, waaaay better than his clichéd image of the attractive gentleman. It is a good movie, very enjoyable. The chemistry between Brosnan and Greg Kinnear is very good also, although Greg has been better in other parts like when he played the gay neighbor of Jack Nicholson in "as good as it gets"(a very good film also). The Matador is fresh and original, enjoy it.

Match Point caught me by surprise, i was expecting just another movie. It starts slow, but as it progresses you get involved in the story along with the characters until the end. Loved the scene with the tennis ball and how they related it with another scene at the end of the movie. I say people will love it or hate it because it deals with emotions, moral, beliefs, luck, i mean, subjects that usually get a strong reaction from people, and since you become part of the movie you will hate it or you will love it but it is very difficult to feel no emotions about it. This film will keep you tense, there's always something going on, and the twist in the end is something you can not see coming if you don't know anything about the movie. It is a good movie, highly entertaining and fun to watch. Good luck!

I think The Feast of The Goat is a very good film, of course always taking into account that it is an adaptation of the novel by Mario Vargas Llosa, it is not a documentary, which means that not all the facts presented in the movie are real, some come from the imagination of the author. It you want to know what is real and what is not, then investigate about the Dominican history. This movie is a sad and interesting story of a woman that went through the same that many other women did in that time where the Dominican Republic belonged to Rafael Trujillo the Dictator for 30 years, they also show the atmosphere of fear and lack of respect for the human rights. The movie is located in the last years of the period so we can see the conspiracy to kill him, and the facts that leaded those people to do it. The performances of Tomas Milian as Trujillo and Stephanie Leonidas as young Urania were very convincing. The costumes were good but some of the ones Tomas Millian wears are big for him and it is very obvious. Isabella Rosellini is OK nothing to be remembered, she just does the job.

Brokeback Mountain is a beautiful film, the photography is breathtaking every scene looks like a perfect picture, beautiful scenery, it looks so free. The performances are great, so great that you could actually doubt of these actors sexual preferences after you see the film. The movie has very strong scenes also, the first sexual encounter surprised me, never thought they would be so explicit and show so much. Very strong love story that touches your heart and keeps you thinking about it after you see it. The good thing about this movie is that you can relate to it doesn't matter if you are gay or straight because is about love and what it takes and everybody has lived something like that at some point in their lives. Congratulations to the Director Ang Lee, it is a brilliant work his Oscar was deserved, as the film also deserved it, but you know it wasn't politically correct. Crash doesn't get not even to the toes of Brokeback Mountain, but who says life is fair? Ask Ennis and Jack about it. Wonderful work!

I liked The Chronicles of Narnia, I think it was entertaining and magical, something that i find interesting is why so many grown ups went to see this film, then they want to judge it on their level, and that is not possible. We have to remember this movie is for children, and yes, maybe the story was not very deep and logical, but i think that for the kids level it was OK. The movie had it's funny moments, people reacted to it in the theather, so i guess they connected with it. The little girl Lucy was great. so was the witch. very cool the combination of all white with the black eyes without eyelashes. the battle was a little strange, and in the end I don't know why they needed those kids because they didn't do anything actually. if you notice there was no blood during the whole battle (again it is a children movie). It is inevitable to compare it with LOTR because you can feel the same atmosphere. (i fell asleep watching LOTR though it was boring and looooong) Aslan was very good, the voice of Liam Neesom is so soft, deep and warm and the lion was convincing. It is a story about the human nature. in general is it a great kids movie.

I enjoyed King Kong very much. I think it is a wonderful movie that has it all. there was a moment in the film where i felt like transported to past years where movies were very good and entertaining. Stories like this are not written anymore. the cast was brilliant. Naomi Watts was perfect, also Adrien Brody, (seems that Ann Barrows likes ugly guys) but that's cool, everybody has the right to love and be loved, Jack Black surprised me, I really didn't know he could be so good. the special effects were wow! King Kong seemed so real and natural and...human, it was excellent. I also liked the first hour of the film because it presents new york in that terrible time of the Depression and the situation they went through, we also got to know the characters, their dreams, so we could understand them better during the next 2 hours. The film lasted 3 hours but it has so much action, adventure, humor, that i never got bored. it was like there was always something happening, i wanted to go to the toilet but i didn't find the boring moment to go. i don't know if this film will win an Oscar for Best Picture, maybe not, but it was one of the best things if not the best i've seen this year, well i liked Cinderella Man, but it had some clichés. This is a film good for all ages, the way they used to do it in the old days. very good.

very boring, i couldn't wait for this movie to finish. it was a mess, it's like they had an idea and they didn't know what to do about it and how to put it together. must love dogs is a stupid line of the movie to use to title this movie. I liked Diane Lane in unfaithful, there you could feel the fire between her and the french guy. here, John Cusack and her don't even sparkle, you know they are just pretending, there's nothing there, no chemistry. you wish they wouldn't end up together because they don't match, but since this is Hollywood, you know that's the way it's gonna be. Not a funny movie, very little good moments. Diane's character father was the best acting in the film. oh my god those lines! they were terrible!! how much more crap do we have to take??? Hollywood needs new blood, new ideas, new stuff PLEASE!!!

Sin City is a very good movie. very different. in every way. although i think it's more like a guy's movie, it's definitely the kind of movies men like, many naked women, hookers, violence, fights, exotic dancers, car chasing, blood, and a romance between a man that is around 45 and a 19 year old girl who is madly in love with him. so as you can see, it has everything. It is the first time i see Mickey Rourke acting, since 91/2 weeks and he was amazing, perfect for the part, he did a great job. Bruce Willis was nothing brilliant. the atmosphere of the movie is great and the way the handled the graphic line was very interesting. i don't think you have ever seen another movie like this. Even though it has some things that are used in almost every movie, it is the way they present it and the twists that make this film unique. Even though i wouldn't see it again because it is too violent for my taste I have to admit It's one of the best things i've seen lately.

Monster in law is a copy of meet the parents only without the laughs, better than that, we could call it a 'meet the parents wanna be'. this movie is not funny, Viola's assistant is the only one a little funny sometimes. full of clichés and i couldn't wait for it to finish. the plot (if we can call it that,) is very stupid. nothing makes sense in this film. don't waste your time and money. Something cant be denied, Jane Fonda is a very elegant woman. with all the stupid things they made her do, she still looked classy. Jennifer Lopez as always not a big thing. I don't think "Kevin" is so hot as they want to make him seem. There is no chemistry between him and Jennifer whatsoever. what can i say, this is another common movie which will be forgotten very soon.
