The Last Thing He Told Me (2023)
This could've been a movie
The way that this developed and ended... this really could've been a movie.
Predictable, slow, build up stayed in the surface.
Actors where good, plot was not.
I was enjoying the series up until a certain point where everything got predictable and they built this suspense around something they never showed. I was expecting a bit more action given the "twist" they presented. I had high hopes because Apple Tv has really good shows for the most part.
I thought that maybe there's a second season to tie up the development of the story but it seems like its just this series... that could've been a movie.
The Righteous Gemstones: Never Avenge Yourselves, But Leave It to the Wrath of God (2022)
Where is this season heading?
This episode was messy. A filler episode. A whole lot of nothing.
Only two more episodes left before season two is over and we don't know anything about the journalists that was murdered, what happened to the Lissons and Zion's Landing? What happened to Harmon? Why bring all these storylines and none of them are being developed or concluded, they have been posponed and stretched throughout a couple of episodes that are going nowhere.
A recap of this episode:
Hospital
Vomit
#eligemshome
Kelvins thumbs
Baby Billy's elixir
A plan to catch the killers with no police involvement in an attempted murder
Coasters
Bike chase
Credits.
Invasion (2021)
I appreciate character building but where's the story depelopment?
First episode was intriguing, although it took almost 55 minutes to get somewhere. I appreciate a good character background but it took 10 episodes to SLOWLY know a bit about the characters and they forgot about the Invasion.
What happened with all the kids nose's bleeding?
Where did Luke find whatever that piece of whatever they were holding throughout the show?
Why Caspar had the visions and he died?
Why they showed us a little of Caspar's background story after dying instead of showing the memory whilst talking about it after the bus crash?
Why telling the story of Ahmed having an affair and nothing came out of that storyline?
Why wasn't their house affected after the first attacks?
They killed the sheriff at the first episode and we never knew anything else from that town.
After the aliens were "defeated" the time lapse was so odd. A lot of destruction in some places and others like it never happened.
This review is all over the place because it left my thoughts all over the place...
Waste of time.
Locke & Key (2020)
The potential is there.
The show concept has so much potential. The first couple of episodes had a lot of potential, the buildup for the mystery ahead; but somewhere along the road it lost the magic. A lot of unanswered questions that, yes, they might end up being discussed at another season but a lot of wasted time with pointless information. The grownups behaved like kids and the kid behaved like a grownup. Predictable ending. Like I said, it has a lot of potential and I wanted to see how the keys worked and maybe the Locke kids playing with them, it's obvious their dad and his friends did when they were younger.
I suggest to give more meat to the story instead of bones to fill time.
It has potential.
What about the bones in the mirror?
How they buried the brothers memories? And how it had a key?
How the grownups that had the keys could remember?
What about the scar that both the dad and Ellie had?
If the brother don't remember anything, why he hated the house?
What about Kensie's fear that's still loose?
Why Sam had the omega tattoo? And how and why Echo could communicate through the picture to him?
I hope the writers take time to explore all the holes they created instead of the teenage drama.
Hunters (2020)
Good concept but could've been condensed
The show has an amazing story filled with historical facts. A beautiful blend of a Tarantino film while having its own personality. However, I think a lot of scenes were pointless and time consuming, don't lead to something greater. Maybe could've been done in 7 episodes or shorter ones.
Kim's Convenience (2016)
Unpredictable funny. Amazing show.
I love this show and still don't know how I stumbled upon it. I love how funny this show is without being predictable. Short episode with light entertaining comedy. They touch current social topics just the right way.
I love this show.
I wish more people know about it.
To the crew and cast, Great Job!
One Day at a Time (2017)
Funny in unexpected ways!
I gave it 9 stars because some episodes they get a little predictable with actual topics that affect people like the family portrayed in the show.
That's the only bad thing about the show! Rita Moreno is a Goddess. A talented and funny woman, her character is the glue to the show.
If you arr hispanic, she is the SOFRITO to the show.
Every ingredient is good, but the Sofrito is the base and ties everything together.
Is like a modern telenovela. There are no primary roles, every character plays an important part of the beautiful story. I think is originally funny, no recicled jokes!
Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso (2016)
Where's the story going?
I really liked the first season. Then it all went downhill on the Second season and the third is the reason I'm writing this review. I really dislike Mariana, I get that the story is trying to recreate her mother's bad choices, but she doesn't even cry when she's crying! And don't get me started with the fact about a witch that has a spell and curse on most of the characters... so now they are chasing ghosts? They detached the story from the drug traffickers and the main storyline. Good concept turned crap!
Dumplin' (2018)
Tricky trailer
The movie is not bad, but it's not what they made it to be on the trailer.
How It Ends (2018)
Waste of time.
I gave it 2 stars because at least it has a great beginning and the actor is cute.
What a waste of time. Agree with most of the reviews.
Travelers (2016)
Great show.
I love how on every episode they bring something new and not stretch the storyline longer than needed. Love this show!
