You People (2023)
Meh
I have a hard time understanding how they managed to make such a boring movie with such a great cast. As a Julia Louis-Dreyfus fan, it feels weird seeing her in this kind of PC scripts. And Eddie Murphy looks like he's bored out of his mind already. Unfortunately there is no chemistry between the lead characters. You don't feel the love, the attraction, or anything...
I can see how and why an interracial couple can face challenges in their marriage from people outside it and even from each other, but I really don't understand why there is so much hostility between the families from the get-go. Like they know and hate each other personally?
Yada yada yada imma watch a Seinfeld episode.
28 Days Haunted (2022)
Alright
At first i thought it was something real. I was hoping to be scared a little. But then i kinda thought it was scripted and incredibly boring and at that point i preferred to watch it like it was a mockumentary so that i could finish it. Like the Office or Parks and Recreation type of production but for the paranormal community. And i wanted the "paranormal technicians" or "demon warriors" (forgive my lack of technical lingo) to look at the camera and shrug throughout the show like Jim does. And they already have the talking heads, so... When you watch it like that, it turns into a cozy Sunday night activity.
My Love: Six Stories of True Love (2021)
Loved the whole series
I love each episode more than the last. They're not just about marriage or love; It is also a documentary about effort, hope, life and human perseverance.
Congratulations to everyone involved in the production.
As they say, "it's the little things"
The Office: Andy's Play (2010)
Wow
I think one can imagine how happy i was to see my favorite character in my favorite tv show singing my favorite tunes from my favorite musical. Plus Michael performing an entire episode of "Law & Order" by himself for his audition? I mean 10/10.
How to Get Away with Murder: It's All Her Fault (2014)
Reminds me of a real case
This episode reminds me of novelist Michael Peterson's case. His wife Kathleen Peterson died, and he claimed she perished after falling down stairs at their home.
Janghwa, Hongryeon (2003)
Well done
Su-mi is released from a mental institution and she returns home with her sister only to face weird and disturbing events seemingly caused by their stepmom and a ghost which are all connected to their mysterious and dark past.
The movie is loosely based on a Korean fairy tale "Janghwa Hongryeon jeon" which has been adapted into film versions a number of times.
I'm not a fan of the genre yet there is something about this movie that made me watch it once again after 16 years.
I love the plot, i love the house and i love the music. Subtle and beautiful.
Intouchables (2011)
Cozy feelings
I'd been meaning to see this movie for a long time. When I finally did tonight, boy, it did not disappoint. I cried for a good 10 minutes after it ended.
I think the soundtracks are the winner of this movie. Every track is spot on. Every note of every song nails the scene.
Considering the plot of the movie, actors could have been easily over dramatic and theatrical. But the acting is really subtle yet brilliant. I believe this is one of the reasons why it's such a great movie. Both Omar Sy and François Cluzet are amazing actors.
Overall, a warm and happy movie.
Stardust (2007)
Everything i need
This movie has everything I need. It has Neil Gaiman, Robert de Niro, Ian McKellen and magic. Beautiful story, amazing actors and a fairytale like ending. It has got a Princess Bride feel to it which is cool because I love that movie too.
Bird Box (2018)
What a waste...
Great cast, intriguing story yet a horrible ending. It felt like a long trailer. It doesn't go anywhere interesting. I was yawning halfway through it.
Macbeth (2015)
Why?
Why would somebody butcher such a beautiful masterpiece so callously? And maybe it's high time we accepted that Marion Cotillard is an overrated actress.
Arrival (2016)
Waste of time, energy and money
It's bad that I wasted my precious time watching this horrible movie but the fact that a lot of people actually spent their months to film it is even worse.
