Mean Girls (2024)
Should retitle: Mean Girls not so fetch version
Why??? Just why??? The "new" Mean Girls has a lot of the exact same scenes and the exact same lines as the iconic original film, but with all the boring, mediocre musical numbers thrown in. Angourie Rice as Cady was a good choice. She was as good as Lohan, I guess. Let's face it. Lohan just isn't that great of an actress. She has no career now. But the others? Nahhh. Renee' Rapp.is an amazing singer, but she didn't even come close to being as good as Rachel McAdams as Regina George. The actors who portrayed Janis, Gretchen, and. Karen were just awful! Didn't even come close to being as good as the original. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Especially, if you "fix it" and it's worse.
Felt that I wasted time watching this movie. I don't go to the theater and pay for a movie ticket to waste time, I go to be entertained. I was not. I was bored.
Barbie (2023)
Worst movie I've seen in 30 years!
If it were possible to rate this movie a negative 10 I would. Twenty five minutes in, and I was ready to walk out of the theater. It was without a doubt one of the silliest, most stupid movies I have ever seen in my life. It finally got a little better 30 minutes in, which brought it up to a negative three. Want an extreme waste of the talents of Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. How did anyone ever convince them to star in this pink train wreck of a movie? Newsflash to Margo and Ryan, you're only as popular as your last movie! Lots of careers have gone into the toilet after a lousy movie like this one!
Beau Is Afraid (2023)
My head is still spinning!
A psychotic Schizo trip down the yellow brick road of mental illness! Someone give the writer of this garbled assault to the senses a Prozac laced milkshake please! It was like being on a train moving at the speed of light through Willie Wonka's canal tunnel at the chocolate factory.
The only thing that kept me in my seat at the theater was the fact my date had left! 40 minutes in he leaned over and said, "Can't watch this garbage, I'm going to get a pizza for us for later". He picked me up outside the theater and asked if the movie had gotten any better after he left. I said, "No, it got worse!"
.
The Christmas Train (2017)
My family voted this "most hated Christmas movie"
Why two excellent actors would agree to be in this ridiculously stupid movie I just don't know. Dermott Mulroney and Kimberly Williams-Paisley are better than this. The movie is too "busy" with several boring and unbelievable story lines running together all at once. It's a jumbled up mess of poorly written scrip with nothing good to redeem it. I wanted to turn it off about a quarter of the way in, but kept watching, hoping it would get better. It didn't. Joan Cusack's character was especially annoying, which is ironic, since the movie worked so hard to make her character endearing. I will not be adding this movie to my Hallmark Christmas dvd collection.
Hocus Pocus 2 (2022)
A Dud!
Hocus Pocus 2 is a miserably disappointing sequel! A complete Disney flop. Everything that could be bad is bad. Terrible script, stupid storyline, lousy acting, and WAY too late!
Hey Disney, the time for a sequel was 28 years ago with ALL the original cast!
The original Hocus Pocus is one of my favorite movies of all time. It was an excellent script. The classic story of good vs. Evil with sharp, witty humor added.
Fans of the original were so excited about this sequel, only to be disappointed with a boring, sad movie, completely lacking any of the original movie's charm and magic!
Couldn't be anymore disappointed. No wonder this wasn't a theatrical release. The theaters would have been empty.
Nope (2022)
Boring
Slow, dragging, boring. I gave two stars because of the random comical scenes, otherwise I would have given 1 star. Disappointing! I experienced the same kind of big letdown I felt after seeing "the monster" in the original version of the movie IT. Ridiculously stupid is the best description I can give.
Greta (2018)
Strong start then drifted into B horror movie land
This film could have been so much better than it was! It was very good until halfway through! Very disappointing to have it suddenly derail into the typical horror movie, where all the main characters start doing things that don't make any logical sense! Yes, by all means, do turn your back on the killer you just knocked out!
Of course Dad, don't call the police when your daughter disappears even though the cops already knew she had a stalker and who the stalker was, call a private detective to find her instead! And if there are knives in the kitchen to use for protection, please always choose a candle holder to defend yourself with instead!
Last 50 minute's was like watching a stupid teen horror movie and was completely predictable. I totally guessed the ending!
Before All Others (2016)
Could have been SO MUCH BETTER!
Most of the storyline was good. But the scenes of the grandmother were too many and too long. I wish a lot of that junk hadn't even been in the movie at all! There should have been WAY more scenes of the budding romance and a lot more questions answered. Why was Ben's wife in a wheelchair and how did she die? Why was the crib in the room? Was she pregnant when she died? Rachel was supposed to be having extensive physical therapy while staying with Grandma. What happened to that? The last half of the movie went into hyper drive and was rushed, after the first part drug on too slow with all those "grandma talking to dead grandpa" scenes. The end left so many unanswered questions. How did Rachel and Ben get back together? It would have been so much better if the focus was off grandma, and the story went on with Ben refusing to leave Rachel's side after she took a sudden turn for the worse, even though she asked him to go. The last half of the movie could have been focused on Rachel's slow recovery with Ben right by her side. That would have been a much better ending to the story.
The actors were excellent and it's a shame the storyline just fizzled out.
A Christmas Carol (2019)
HORRIBLE , Don't even bother to watch.
The worst adaptation I've ever seen! Littered with the F word throughout and it's slow, drags, and is boring! The characters are ridiculous, and depressing, and WAY OFF! Bob Cratchet is depressed, hates Scrooge, and walks around with a scowl in his face! BOB CRATCHET!! Absolutely detest this movie!
