Baby Mama (2008)
Another boring Amy Poehler project (Leslie Knope has a baby)
I loved Amy Poehler in Parks and Recreation. And several faces from Parks and Rec are seen in this movie: Dennis Feinstein and Ted of Ted Day. But it feels more like someone said "We should have Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in a film together and have Amy do her Leslie Knope thing." Well That's what Baby Mama is -- a rehash of getting pregnant jokes. Tina Fey is better, but Amy is beating the Leslie Knope shtick to death.
Amy later did "Wine County." Another boring Fey-Poehler vehicle.
Splitting Up Together: Welcome Home (2019)
The always boring Jenna Fischer makes this a 4 star show
Face it, Jena Fischer has one persona ... Pam Halpert from The Office. She is the same cutie in every role. Her boring persona wears thin after one episode. Oliver Hudson is OK, but is not a major talent. It is "cute" but there are so many better shows out there. For Pam Halpert fans only.
The 15:17 to Paris (2018)
Actually an interesting flick ... the always boring Jenna Fischer
I generally like Clint Eastwood-direct films and this is not exception. It is kind of a depressing topic but Clint does a good job with it. Good flick, and the always boring Jenna Fischer can't ruin the film.
Wine Country (2019)
Leslie Knope goes to wine country
C'mon Amy. Do a different character than Leslie Knope. So, Wine Country is Parks and Recreation in Napa Valley. Unlike P&R, there is no Ron Swanson, Andy Dwyer or April Ludgate. Just a bunch of boring, cliche female friends. Maya Rudolph is OK, but the rest are bad cartoon characters. The whole thing with Jason Schwartzman was silly at best. painful at worst. Amy, either do a new character or bring Ann Perkins, Donna Meagle and April Ludgate with you. You know, funny characters.
