Meitantei Conan: Bekâ Sutorîto no bôrei (2002)
Exciting
The film is the 6th Case Closed feature film, released in Japan on April 20, 2002. Phantom of Baker Street is the first film in the series written by Hisashi Nozawa. This was the last of the Detective Conan films done in traditional animation. It was released on February 16, 2010 in America on DVD. This movie brought 3.4 billion yen in the box office. The story features several characters from and references to the Sherlock Holmes series, which Detective Conan is heavily inspired by, and Jack the Ripper.
In the film, cases happen in the world of a game and real. The characters and audiences should solve two cases. When I watch the film, I am excited because I don't expect what happen next and what Conan does to solve cases. One of the highlight of the film is the ties that bind Conan's father and Conan together. I also want you to pay attention to the bonds of friendship.
Hotaru no haka (1988)
Grief of War
Hotaru no haka is a 1988 Japanese animated war drama film written and directed by Isao Takahata and animated by Studio Ghibli. It is based on the 1967 semi-autobiographical short story Hotaru no haka by Akiyuki Nosaka. The film stars Tsutomu Tatsumi, Ayano Shiraishi, Yoshiko Shinohara and Akemi Yamaguchi. Set in the city of Kobe, Japan, the film tells the story of two siblings, Seita and Setsuko, and their desperate struggle to survive during the final months of the Second World War. The film was critically acclaimed. Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times considered it to be one of the best and most powerful war films and, in 2000, included it on his "Great Movies" list. Two live-action remakes of Grave of the Fireflies were made, one in 2005 and one in 2008. It is commonly described as an anti-war film, but this interpretation has been denied by the director.
The film begins at Sannomiya Station on 21 September 1945, shortly after the end of World War II. A boy, Seita, is shown dying of starvation. Later that night, having removed Seita's body, a janitor digs through his possessions and finds a candy tin which he throws away into a nearby field. The spirit of Seita's younger sister, Setsuko, springs from the tin and is joined by Seita's spirit as well as a cloud of fireflies. Seita's spirit then begins to narrate their story accompanied by an extended flashback of the final months of World War II.
When I watch the film, I am filled with grief. I can imagine what war is and how people live during war. We should never happen war again.
Titanic (1997)
Great Romance
Titanic is a 1997 American epic romance-disaster film directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron. A fictionalized account of the sinking of the RMS Titanic, it stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet as members of different social classes who fall in love aboard the ship during its ill-fated maiden voyage.
I love the film very much. Every time I am moved to tears. I am filled with heartrending sorrow. However the heroine live strongly after the parson who she loves, so I am encouraged. The music of the film is also good. I love the song, My Heat Will Go on, sung by Celine Dion. The film contains love story element and panic element, so we never lost interest in the film. The film is loved all over the world, so I want you to watch it.
Monsters University (2013)
Mike is very cute
Monsters University is a 2013 American 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It was directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae, with John Lasseter, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich as executive producers. It is the fourteenth feature film produced by Pixar and is a prequel to 2001's Monsters, Inc., marking the first time Pixar has made a prequel film.
Disney, as the rights holder, had plans for a sequel to Monsters, Inc. since 2005. Following disagreements with Pixar, Disney tasked its Circle 7 Animation unit to make the film. An early draft of the film was developed; however, Disney's purchase of Pixar in early 2006 led to the cancellation of Circle 7's version of the film. A Pixar-made sequel was confirmed in 2010,and in 2011, it was confirmed that the film would instead be a prequel titled Monsters University.
Monsters University tells the story of two monsters, Mike and Sulley, and their time studying at college, where they start off as rivals, but slowly become best friends. I love Mike that was a child because he was so cute and innocent. However I also love Mike that is an adult. I understand how Sulley and Mike become best friends when I watch the film. I want you to watch Monsters Inc. and Mnstrs University.

The film is Action film, but contains friendship elements, so I was impressed and moved to tears when I watched it.
Inside Out (2015)
Growth
Inside Out is a 2015 American 3D computer-animated comedy-drama adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film was directed by Pete Docter and co-directed by Ronnie del Carmen, with a screenplay by Docter, Meg LeFauve and Josh Cooley from a story by Docter and del Carmen. The film is set in the mind of a young girl named Riley Andersen, where five personified emotions—Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust —try to lead her through life as her parents move from Minnesota to San Francisco and she has to adjust to her new surroundings.
The film shows a adolescent girl, Riley's emotions. When I watched the film, I sympathize with Riley. The highlight of the film is that Riley grows up as she experiences many things.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
Exciting
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second novel in the Harry Potter series, written by J. K. Rowling. The plot follows Harry's second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, during which a series of messages on the walls of the school's corridors warn that the "Chamber of Secrets" has been opened and that the "heir of Slytherin" would kill all pupils who do not come from all-magical families. These threats are found after attacks which leave residents of the school "petrified" (frozen like stone). Throughout the year, Harry and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger investigate the attacks.
The book was published in the United Kingdom on 2 July 1998 by Bloomsbury and in the United States on 2 June 1999 by Scholastic Inc. Although Rowling found it difficult to finish the book, it won high praise and awards from critics, young readers and the book industry, although some critics thought the story was perhaps too frightening for younger children. Much like with other novels in the series, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets triggered religious debates; some religious authorities have condemned its use of magical themes, while others have praised its emphasis on self-sacrifice and on the way in which a person's character is the result of the person's choices.
The film adaptation of the novel, released in 2002, became (at that time) the seventh highest grossing film ever and received generally favorable reviews. Video games loosely based on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets were also released for several platforms, and most obtained favorable reviews.
The film gives hints which are to be developed later, so we should watch the film carefully.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)
The Mgic World
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is the first novel in the Harry Potter series and J. K. Rowling's debut novel, first published in 1997 by Bloomsbury. It was published in the United States as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by Scholastic Corporation in 1998. The plot follows Harry Potter, a young wizard who discovers his magical heritage as he makes close friends and a few enemies in his first year at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. With the help of his friends, Harry faces an attempted comeback by the dark wizard Lord Voldemort, who killed Harry's parents, but failed to kill Harry when he was just a year old.
The novel won most of the British book awards that were judged by children and other awards in the US. The book reached the top of the New York Times list of best-selling fiction in August 1999 and stayed near the top of that list for much of 1999 and 2000. It has been translated into at least sixty-seven other languages and has been made into a feature-length film of the same name, as have all six of its sequels.
When I watched the film, I was excited because Harry Potter, his friends and his teachers use various magic. I had longing for the magic. However the film is so long, so I am tired.
Monsters, Inc. (2001)
Friendship
Monsters, Inc is a 2001 American computer-animated comedy film directed by Pete Docter at his directorial debut, produced by Pixar Animetion Studios, and released by Walt Disney Pictures.
The film centers on two monsters employed at the titular Monsters, Inc.: top scorer Sulley and his one-eyed partner and his best friend Mike. Monsters, Inc. employees generate their city's power by targeting and scaring children, but they are themselves afraid that children may contaminate them. When one child, Boo, enters Monsters, Inc., Mike and Sulley must return her. Sulley and Mike overcome a lot of difficulties to return her. It is the highlight of the film. I am impressed with Sulley, Mike and Boo's friendship. I was moved to tears when I watched the film. I want you to watch the film. If you watch the film, you will enjoy it.
Toy Story (1995)
Exciting
Toy story is a 1995 American computer-animated adventure buddy comedy film produced by Pixar Animetion Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures, directed by John Lasseter at his directorial debut. Toy story was the first feature-length computer-animated film and the first theatrical film produced by Pixar.
In the film, toys are living things who pretend to be lifeless when their owners are present. A group of toys owned by a six-year-old boy, Andy, are caught off-guard when Andy's birthday party is moved up a week, as Andy, his mother and his sister are preparing to move the following week. The toy's leader and Andy's favorite toy, an old fashioned cowboy doll named Woody organized the other toys. Andy gets an electronic toy space ranger action figure named Buzz Lightyear as a birthday present. He believes that he is an actual space ranger. What happen to Andy's toys next?
The characters have individuality. The picture on the screen is colorful, so I think the film is very cute. I am excited because I think about what happen next and what Andy's toy do next. I love the film's view of the world. Everyone enjoys the film, regardless of age or sex. I want you to watch the film.
Fish Out of Water (2008)
Funny
A man goes to his office by boat because he doesn't like crowded place. One day, a beautiful woman asks him to take her to her office by boat. After that, more and more people take his boat. It is displeasing to him. Finally, he hits on a good idea to avoid the people.
In the short film, people don't say anything from beginning to end, but I can imagine what they say and their feelings. "Fish out of water" means a person who feels uncomfortable or awkward because he or she is in surroundings that are not familiar. I think fish out of water in the film is the man. He goes to his office that is in city and he takes many people to their office by boat every day, so he feels stress. However, the story ends with a laugh, so I think he overcomes his stress. There is the love story element in the story too, so I never lose interest. If you watch the short film, you will burst out laughing.
Father and Daughter (2000)
love, life and death
One day father and his daughter goes to the shore by bicycle. He hags her and he rides a boat and leaves there alone. She is left on the shore. After the day, she goes to the shore to see him every day, but she can't see him. This short film won an Academy Award and ranks high in the public estimation. In the short film, people don't say anything from beginning to end, but I can understand their feelings because people's motions show their feelings very well. The music of the film is good. The film is touching. The daughter is admirable because she waiting for her father to return. I feel the mutual love between parent and child and I think of life and death when I watch the film.
Whacked (1997)
Amazing
People fall down one after another on the street. They are not injured or ill, so they are just walking or taking a picture. When I watch the scene for the first time, I am surprised and I feel anxiety. Why people fall down? In the next scene, there is a man who works hard in a golf course. He gathers golf balls driving a car. He is stressed out by his job. He wants to take revenge on society. He goes to a building and goes up the rooftop of the building after he finishes his job. He takes revenge on society in a surprising way there. I can understand the reason why people fall down on the street when I watch the last scene.
Everyone feels stresses every day. However, I think we should not take revenge on society like him. If you are stressed, you should reduce stress in a good way, for example, eating your favorite foods, singing songs you like, or taking exercise.
The Errand (2010)

The short film ranks high in the public esteem in the world. The film was awarded prizes in Bilbao International Festival of Documentary and Short Film 2007 and Pictures Battle × Show Biz Japan 2008. Music is also used effectively in the film. The film takes only about 20 minutes, but if you watch it, you will be impressed and want to watch again.
Knick Knack (1989)
Cute and Exciting
The short film is a story of small decorative objects in a house. The hero of the film is a snowman in a snow dome. He wants to escape from the snow dome to see a beautiful woman object. He tries every possible means to break the snow dome, but he can't. After that, he comes up with good way to escape from the snow dome and he can escape. However, he comes across a happening.
In the short film, objects behave like human beings. It is so interesting. The objects don't say anything, but i can understand their feelings. The picture on screen is colorful, so I think the short film is very cute. In the scene that the snowman tries to escape from the snow dome, I am excited because I think about what happen next and what he does next. If you watch the film, you will chuckle to yourself.
Porcelain Unicorn (2010)
Heart warming
In Germany, an old man visits a house with a box. He looks back on his boyhood days in front of the house. In 1943, when he is a boy, he and two of his friends look for something in the house. Then he finds a Jewish girl is in hiding. She gives him the ornamental unicorn. However suddenly some German soldiers break the windows and come into the house with guns. He says get away to her and she escapes. He saves her. After that, he is found by the soldiers and he gives a soldier the unicorn. As the old man tries to return, an old woman appears from the house. She is the girl at that time. He and she can see each other again. He gives her the box. What is in the box?
The short film is only three minutes, but attracts people who watch it. I am surprised that they make such a good film by using only six designated dialogue. I like the heart warming ending after the war is over.
Safety Not Guaranteed (2012)
Amazing
Darius Britt is disillusioned with her life. She lives at home with her widower father and interns at Seattle Magazine. A magazine writer finds a classified ad in a newspaper asking for a companion to time travel with a man who put the ad. The magazine writer, Darius, and a man who interns at Seattle Magazine visit the man who put the ad and try to interview him. Darius trains for time travel with him and they fall in love with each other. The last scene is very amazing. Do time travel succeed?
In the film, each of the characters has various the past, so the film attracts the interest of many people and gains the sympathy of many people.
The Lunch Date (1989)
Contains racial problems
A elegant woman is walking in a station. She takes out a ticket from her wallet. She bumps into a stranger and she drops the things that are in her bag on the floor. The stranger helps her, but she dislike him. She hurries to the platform, but she misses the train that she wants to take. She goes a cafe to eat lunch until the next train comes. She has a unexpected date with a man there.
"The Lunch Date" takes ten minutes and it is a film in black and white made by few lines. The short film contains racial problems. The woman is a white, but the man who helps her in the station and the man who has "a date" with her are blacks. In the film, some blacks beg money of passers-by. The woman's behavior shows her hatred for blacks and a prejudice against blacks. If you watch the film, you will think about racial problems.
Three Days in Kamakura (2012)
Family and Love
The film is the story of David and Keiko. They were married but they don't have a child. The relationship with their neighbor is not good, so Keiko is worn out by the effort of making a living. David tries to cheer up Keiko, but it it not effective. One day, David takes his student to their house because his mother doesn't come for him. They live together in a short while. David wants to live with Keiko and his student, but Keiko opposes living with his student. She suggests that David call the police. In three days in Kamakura, David and Keiko's relationship is changing.
The film is twenty minutes, but I am made to think what family is and what love is. I am surprised that the film is not made in Kamakura. The sound of Kamakura is good, so it is used as a title. If you watch the film, you will think about family and love.
