This is written by men a black one and a white one and neither know how black women operate and it shows. I gave it a try because it was a black show but it leaves a lot to be desired. Alot of the situations don't even make sense and wouldn't be allowed in the real world legally. No one bothered to do any real research.

Something is wrong when white people are telling the story of one of the most ICONIC UNAPOLOGETICALLY BLACK ARTIST of our time! No I wouldn't dare watch this travesty. All I needed to know was they put a Spanish woman in BLACKFACE with a PROSTETIC NOSE and the movie centered around a fictitious romantic relationship with a WHITE man that was her GAY FRIEND. Its no surprise that all the producers are white in addition to that sellout Oyelowo who wishes he was white! Do yourself a favor and watch the documentary her daughter Simone Kelly did on Netflix called What Happened Miss Simone? instead! This is a prime example of why we need to tell our own stories. This was an obvious money grab and not a passion project!

I have a few other choice words but that pretty much sums it up! Plot predictable and stupid acting was below subpar! But mainly the horrible storyline is what did it. The movie just made zero sense and I only finished watching to talk about how dumb it was plus there was nothing else on!

I wanted to like this movie really bad but it was TRASH! First the INACCURACY!! What is the point of creating this character that is a fictional version of the real woman who is also A HERO but was slandered in this movie for absolutely NO REASON AT ALL! This was supposed to be a historical recount of a Black womans rise in a white mans world and instead they turned it into a stupid Light skin vs. Dark Skin tale! I am thoroughly disappointed in this movie as a black woman and even more disappointed that another Black woman wrote this trash! I'll be waiting for the documentary. Also they way they modernized a historical piece... for what?? These kids don't need more entertainment they need knowledge pride in themselves. Not to mention the stupidity of every 5 mins a fantasy boxing match going on in this brilliant woman's mind. Like really DO BETTER!! This movie was a waste of time I cut it off mid episode 2 to reclaim my time. I don't recommend get a book it will be way better!

I'd give it a -10 if I could. This movie absolutely RUINED the franchise!! It should not even be an Annabelle movie it is nothing like it predecessors. Unrealistic, childish and just plain stupid aside from being horribly boring! Its like the person who wrote this didn't bother to even watch any of the other films. Almost 2 hrs of my life I'll never get back. Do yourself a favor PASS PASS PASS!! HORRIBLE

I wish I could give it a negative 10!! Worst movie ever didn't make any sense at all. Bad acting even worse storyline! Need I say more!! Save an hr and a half of your life and pass this film by! I warned you!!

Don't waste your time! Its a travesty! HATED IT! I couldn't even get through the entire movie!
