Season 2 is killing it
23 July 2023
In a few days I have almost binge watched the whole thing of the show so far. Season 1 started decent, with an interest but that's how far I would take it. A decent show, that was true to what happens in cuisines/restaurants.

I started season 2 and it was rolling. Tina's story unravelled. Great. Marcus's did too. But then Richie's episode came and I freaking loved it. Honestly I feel that from episode 7 and on everything about the show, grows more to the audience. Looking forward for more!

The 5 stars was all because of the 1st season. After the 2nd season I would give it a solid 6 but I am waiting for things to keep happening.

Thought it was a great show, until it was an epic one.

Words won't do justice, for pieces like this show.

This is all about something that is lacking from platforms, television, you name it, today.

Reality. Relatabilty. Heart wrenching truth and oh god so much more.

I am fortunate enough that my life has nothing to do with the basic struggles that Alex (the lead) has gone through. Multileveled abuse, loneliness, exhaustion, just to name a few, and on... There was nothing more captivating than seeing a show with actual feelings and relatability to the character.

How is that relatable if you are not going through this...? I think that's part of the show. It hooks you with the lead in ways that you don't even realise. You root for her slowly and steadily as she makes her way a bit up, just to get beyond down again. A step ahead only causes 10 backwards, but she still keeps going. Man is she strong you think. Great show.

And then, the real punch comes. Almost out of nowhere. You did see it coming, but then it took longer. Is it longer though? No, it's not. Cause it's real. Unexpected. Just like it would be in real life, real time. You are feeling sucked up, trying to get a glimpse of light when you are not even ready for it. Like you are sucked up in a couch. In a dwell, not even trying to make your way up. But there's a crack. A small crack with unicorn pjs and blond waves that is hiding some levels above from you on that same dwell. Gradually making her way down with you as well. A line. There's the line. She's the line. The line that you have to draw, to keep going.

And this review is so little, when the show is so much. Great show? No. Iconically real show.

WE NEED MORE.

Lots of potential quite wasted...
1 October 2022
I found no reason for the movie to be made and I will explain why.

I got into watching the movie, having already heard a few reviews and comments on the movie. They were quite ambiguous... I already wanted to watch it, but now it intrigued me even more..

I find that when we want to show and talk once again about the life, image and the idea of such a smart, sensitive, beautiful soul that had suffered and been wounded by the ideas that the world had for her and from her also traumatic life, the least we could do is respect her. Especially when she was lacking of that during her life. Portraying such a troubled soul in the way that the director did, had me thinking that the movie had no real reason to be made, other than just satisfying once again the male gaze and nothing more. And yes, I know that the movie is fictional and based on the same titled book. Just because the mistake happened once, doesn't need to be repeated... Also, I really didn't like how they wanted to show off Marylin as a woman who was basically passed from man to man all her life like she had no say in this whatsoever...making her look so naive and child-like that hadn't a true touch to reality. Sensitive and troubled from her past doesn't mean that she should be acting like a 7year old all the time around others...I don't know, it really threw me off...

On the positive side and to explain the review's title, the movie had an amazing aesthetic and vibe that could work so much better if the movie and person of interest was treated with more respect.. Ana de Armas did a really good job at bringing Marylin in life with her look and voice and mannerisms but the plot affected that too... A movie with good cast, good aesthetics and potential was wasted in favor of what?? Another male gaze?.... It feels like they don't let her soul catch a break from all of this b***hit that is repeated about her again and again.

Boring season 2-so far
24 January 2022
So far other than a couple stuff like Lexi's and Fez's hints of relationship and Lexi's story, I find season 2 boring. There, I said it.

Did they really need to make every sidestory uninteresting?.... Last season every single episode was an introduction to someone and it kept on going after that.

This season does it too for the first minutes, only to disappoint with the way the episode keeps on rolling.

Decent Rom Com but hey that's a great thing. It means it not cheesy!
28 April 2021
I put that movie on with the expectation of watching a light movie.

And that's exactly what I got.

A Rom Com with a good story, not that original but it doesn't remind you of every other rom com that you've watched before. So that's a great thing. And yeah they get together at the end duh it's a movie, but in a nice way. I liked it a lot!

Sweet , heartwarming movie worthy to be watched by all
25 March 2021
Before watching this movie I had no clue who Mr Rogers was. As a European I had never heard of him. The combination that attracted me into the movie was Tom Hanks and the genre of biography. And boy did it score. A movie with a hero that is may more important and needed than ever. What an important work of life and what an important figure in that business and in life in general. But this review is not mained to praise Mr Rogers no matter how awesome and great he was. Tom Hanks nevers loses in bringing heartwarming performances and great stories into life. This movie is such a case. His co star Matthew Rhys also does an amazing job playing the part of the young journalist who did interview Mr Rogers in real life. A movie about life, forgiveness, people opening up and listening to people and so much more.

Modern rom-com with some gooooood lines.
8 November 2020
This movie deserves more recognition than what is gonna probably get. The flow of the movie is good, the actors are pretty good and there are some lines within some scenes, that are given by the girls that stuck with me after the movie ended. Sooo that's a good outcome! Your typical rom-com but fortunately enough without all the cliche outcomes. A yes!!

Big names in the cast for less than mediocre plot
5 November 2020
Ughhh... Such a mediocre movie, even less than that. You have such big names in the cast, and that is the only reason that the movie is sort of watchable.. If this was casted with brand new, unknown actors, it would be a complete fail that no one would remember. Not that we do remember this one to begin with...

Just like the saying.."Paris is always a good idea"
3 October 2020
Great if you're looking for an easy going and feel good show to watch!

Beautiful cast, literally.. really nice looking people, the plot is not something unique or new but the freshness and beauty of Paris views CAN NEVER DO YOU WRONG.

The plot is simple and ok and pretty fast so overall pretty good!

It got me inspired to travel, and obviously to visit Paris.

The High Note (2020)

Pretty good!
8 June 2020
I found out randomly about this movie. I watched the trailer and thought to give it a shot. It's not a movie with an intriguing plot but it's a bit fresh. The music definetely has to do with it. Ms Ross is ok, but that's it. Not a fan.. I am not a fan of Dakota either but I kept wanting to see her on the next scene. A big stand out for me was definetely Mr Harrison and his voice. Loved it. And I absolutely loved the use of older, classic, superb music. The movie had a good twist near the end of it that I did not see coming. Such a twist that made me raise my rating a bit. Overall a pretty good movie.

Not that bad, definetely not that good either

A movie with a respectable idea of concept. It continues slow, not in a way that it makes you bored but on the other hand it doesn't keep you very invested in the movie either. The chemistry between characters is okay

Easy-going vibe and enjoyable
29 May 2020
A series about the life of three best friends in a small town. It reminded me of Gilmore Girls at some level. It has a relaxing, easy-going vibe to it, just like I think it would be living in such a town. The characters are likeable and the plot is not something new but it keeps you interested. Overall an ok, enjoyable show.

Thank God I didn't pay for this...
18 July 2018
Reaaally tiring movie....In the first 20 minutes you're like "ok it seems interesting..don't know what's going on here but I guess we'll find out soon...." I would mainly describe this movie as a pain in the a$$. The only way someone would possibly appreciate this movie, is by seeing it under the perspective of Mr Hughes disorder... Other than that...the movie is so NOT worth-watching, no matter some of the household names that play in it.

What a .... Reese!
5 July 2018
WOW what a film debut for the 14 year old at that time Reese! No wonder why she was cast for one of the leading roles and not for the extras she auditioned for... Her acting on the film explains her later took off in Hollywood. I think though that her recent movies don't do her justice.. Overall, a good film, with pretty scenery and good photography. Other than Reese and Mr Waterston, the rest of the cast is ok and so is the plot.

Watchable movie
10 June 2018
Except from the pretty damn cheesy ending part from the ferris wheel till the ending titles, "Love, Simon" was a good storytelling movie that shared an important message. You know your time and when you're ready for anything better than anyone else, in all meanings. As my title says, a watchable movie.

Couldn't bare it .. not even for an hour
28 May 2018
45 minutes... That's how long I bared with it...I mean, could it be more cliche??? I just wanted a chill evening with a feel good movie to go with it... And what I got, was only confusion and tiredness . Could she have a worse luck? Make a movie people, but at least make it even a little bit believable.. A NO NO for me

Only the first 30 minutes worth watching.
21 June 2017
I was more than excited for this movie, but I have to say that it failed me...The only part that i was totally hooked with the movie were the first 30 minutes. The battle at the beach was just epic! And thank God for some slow-motion action at the rest of the movie that made the battle scenes worth watching.Gal Gadot was a beautiful choice for the part, and the chemistry between her and Chris Pine was fine, but other than that the film was just meh. Especially the second part of the film brought me really down to earth.
