The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian (2022)
The Book of Mandalorian
The episode was no doubts one of the best of SWU but does it make sense? I mean that's not how you do guest appearances! You don't just dedicate a whole episode to the guest appearance on the show andnot show the main character once? Especially when there are only 7 episodes in the entire season. This episode felt like pilot of S3 of the Mandalorian. I, for a matter of fact, am in love with the cinematography that went in this episode. It's plain brilliant but again that's not how crossovers are supposed to be.
Hawkeye: So This Is Christmas? (2021)
Solid finale but I'm worried
Yo, why did they do Kingpin like that? I mean Kingpin was there taking all the blows thrown at him, we saw him at peak strength but still. And that final shot with Kingpin in it, man I am so worried rn. Please Marvel, you can't just do that after putting all these efforts in bringing him back. Boy, do i have my fingers crossed rn. Also no post credits scene leaves ypu wondering where would they go from here!
Hawkeye: Ronin (2021)
WTF! Breathtaking
Nobody gave Hawkeye that much of a chance amongst all these Disney plus shows but it is now my number one MCU show. I am gonna watch it at least 5 times. This is BREATHTAKING!
I have been waiting for him to show up all the goddamn episode and just when i thought maybe all those fan theroies and speculations were BS, there he is - the same goddamn work of art. Thank-you Marvel and Feige! Love you loads, this is a dream come true for every marvel fan. This stuff is emotional af - i am flying high at the moment, lol!
Hawkeye: Partners, Am I Right? (2021)
Just keeps getting better and better
Another amazing episode! Packed with a whole lot of emotions and by the end, we get to see someone who was long anticipated to appear on this show. All in all a brilliant episode. Amazing watch! Bingo, Marvel!
Hawkeye: Echoes (2021)
10 stars for that TEASE!
He's coming, he has arrived! Omfg, this is so exciting. The Kingpin of crime is just around the corner. They're teasing us, lol! That was totally Vincent's laugh, lol! Fingers crossed for the reveal now! 🤞
Eternals (2021)
Shocked by this many negative reviews?!
How is this a bad movie? All the fans need to understand that just every other upcoming MCU project can't be as big as Infinity Wars or Endgame. IW/Endgame were so HUGE because they had a buildup of 20 movies behind them.
Anyways, talking about the movie - Eternals had SOUL and depth which is kinda new to MCU given that most of the MCU stuff focuses more on action. Eternals is different in a beautiful way.
No Time to Die (2021)
I loved it!
Not very Bondesque to be honest. This one's a whole lot different than all the Bond movies out there. There is a lot of melodrama and emotions involved which I think worked just fine given that this was a finale film for Daniel Craig's Bond. There's one thing that this movie excels at, that is -it doesn't let you bore. I would say it is a must watch for all the ACTION genre lovers. Bond lovers might find it a bit odd!
What If...?: What If... Ultron Won? (2021)
My wooooooorrrdddddd!
Dafuq just happened! Yeah, yeah Marvel is dead. My god, if this is how Marvel follows up to a Party Thor episode, please give me a million more Party Thor episodes. And did we just see HIM? HIM? YOU KNOW WHO I'M TALKING ABOUT, RIGHT? And my boy, isn't The Watcher bonkers. Holy moly, i am never gonna get enough of this episode. I am going to watch it over and over again. Thankyou Kev, you legend!
What If...?: What If... Thor Were an Only Child? (2021)
Okay but what was that?
Throughly enjoyed this take on Thor but found it really senseless and pushed. That ending really hints at some sort of multiversal team up though.
What If...?: What If... Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead of His Hands? (2021)
Dark and leaves you wanting for more!
Just what MCU have been lacking! Give us more of these. This makes me wonder whether Doctor Strange in No Way Home is really him or somebody else, hmmmmm! He already seemed off character as we go by the trailer. Interesting stuff from Marvel - maybe it's a strech but releasing the trailer just before this episode makes your mind go place, lol!
What If...?: What If... T'Challa Became a Star-Lord? (2021)
Chadwick Boseman forever!
This episode felt like a feast to a crazy MCU fan in me - loads of callbacks, surprising cameos! It had it all. But to be honest, i really hated the take on Thanos in this one lol! They really did him dirty.
And we get to see the REAL COLLECTOR!
What If...? (2021)
Good start!
I still don't know what to expect from this series. It seems like they are trying to set up some specific characters from different universes who will eventually make their live action debut in future MCU projects - very first appearance might happen in Doctor Strange MOM! It is rumoured that Captain Carter will make her live action debut in MOM.
Loki: For All Time. Always. (2021)
Outrageous!
MCU has unlocked a new HIGH - i feel bad for other shows already that they are gonna be compared to this gem.
All those reveals - every dialogue felt cryptic! Brilliantly acted by You know who, another perfect casting from MCU. We are officially in the Multiverse Of Madness now!
Black Widow (2021)
A great farewell to a great character!
Something's really wrong with us, i guess! When MCU did movies like FFH and Captain Marvel, we argued about how these movies were just plain action, no character development and emotionally upright whatsoever. And when MCU really gave us a real backstory with stuff and emotions to relate with, we arw busy arguing about like how slow it was! It wasn't for me, MCU's Black Widow needed this so badly. A full strech dive into her character, her not being a sugarcoated sidekick - i of all person needed a movie like this!
And those who are complaining that TaskMaster was done wrong.. Honestly for the Black widow movie, This Version of Taskmaster was the one Natasha needed to complete her Marvel arc... And i get why folks bash Marvel movies always for over the top Things and not so shocking twists, the reveal of the daughter has alot of plot movement than it was some random dude. Now we can get this Taskmaster becoming an antihero or an avenger even, This movie was a 9/10 for me. Marvel Cinematic World didn't disappoint again...
Loki: The Nexus Event (2021)
This may end up being the best ever MCU project
My word, Tom wasn't lying when he said that episode 4 and 5 would change the dynamic of the show! What can i say about this episode though! Amazing visuals, majestic soundtrack, brilliant callbacks - that mention of 'vampires' just had me screaming for a while there.
MCU has delivered, yet again - GLORIOUSLY this time!
Loki: The Variant (2021)
EXISTENCE IS CHAOS - MASTERPIECE!
My word, what brilliance! I am left speechless - i am in awe of the dialogues, the writing that went into this episode is just amazing. I totally expected Loki to be one of the best MCU shows but i never thought that it would be this crazy.
Totally hyped up and hooked - give me more!
Loki: Glorious Purpose (2021)
GOD of Mischeif is back y'all!
Best pilot of all the MCU shows so far! Owen Wilson looks like he has been there all the time, brilliant work by him. With Tom Hiddelston's Loki there has never been a doubt!
I loved all those callbacks and how Variant Loki perceived them. Loki looks vulnerable for the very first time and which is what makes this episode so much more interesting. All in all, a brilliant episode to start with. MCU never disappoints, does it?
Star Wars: The Bad Batch: Cornered (2021)
Good episode but not worth a week's wait!
This was a good filler as fillers go. But was it worth a week's wait? Definitely not, Disney Plus needs to think of a strategy regarding these 20-30 mins episodes because after waiting for a whole week, expectations are right up there!
Anyways, love the chemistry of our Dad Batch with lil kid Omeeeeeega! Wrecker is nailing every scene he's in!
Banshee (2013)
How is no one taking about this GEM
I have to thank Disney plus for bringing my attention to this show, was a bit skeptical going into this show! But man-o-man, wasn't it legendary! Actors are right up there delivering every bit of their characters, the storyline is hell of a kind. Almost every episode has it - that CHARISMA which you hardly get to see these days, which used to be in epics like The Breaking Bad, GOT, Hannibal etc.
Really recommend this one to everyone - you won't be disappointed!
Mortal Kombat (2021)
GET OVER HERE
This line is enough for me, i won't dive into judgements like this was great and that sucked. Mortal Kombat 2021 has paved way for the rise of a new franchise and i am super delighted. Just throw at us whatever you can!
Source Code (2011)
Starts at the PEAK and never drops!
I will make it quick - this very well may be the only movie which starts right there at the peak and then continues to stay there. Not a single minute out of these 93 minutes were wasted. I have hardly ever witnessed a more captivating cinematography.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: One World, One People (2021)
'Power Broker' twist - the only let down!
I loved what they did to Sam and Walker in this episode. I really wanted to see more of Walker, the ending made sure that it's gonna happen in the future. We have our 'Cap' now - loved the way they did that.
The only letdown of this episode was the Power Broker twist, i mean they literally gave us a lot in first five episodes about Power Broker. It took the fun out of it - I was like dude i wanted something else to happen. But let's see where all this leads. Overall a GOOD (not great) finale!
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Truth (2021)
The Calm Before The Storm
This episode was all about closure and i loved every bit of it. Sets up an action packed finale finale nicely! Can't wait for next Friday.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: The Whole World Is Watching (2021)
POWERFUL & DARK
I have been pretty unsatisfied with TFATWS so far but trust me what i say this - the ending was right up there with Captain America : The Winter Soldier.
All that hate for Russell must stop asap, you see how well he has done with his version of Captain America. I think this episode has to be one of the darkest stuff we have received from MCU till date. I ended up sympathising with John Walker by the end of episode. Brilliant character development! John Walker and Dora Milaje stole this one for me and i am now superhyped for the rest two episodes.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Power Broker (2021)
Last scene though! Best part of the episode
FATWS is still lacking something, idk what exactly! Maybe it's the rapid shuffle across events like our protagonists end up in problem and somehow they carve a solution instantly. Like how stupid was getting Zemo out? Seriously, they had no other way. Anyways everything feels way to simple to be honest. I want Bucky and Sam to be posed with some real challenging stuff. But it was good though - had its moments. Really looking forward to the next three episodes.
And man that last scene brought some memories and it was reaaaaaalllll good and unexpected stuff from MCU!
