The Twilight Zone: Replay (2019)
Not an entirely new concept but executed well
The way some people talk in reviews here it's like they think every episode has to have a twist or some dark ending. Sure the original show had some dark stuff and a lot of the episodes were built around twists but overall it was optimistic about humanity, it was never cruel. This episode deals with current issues just like the old show, and while the idea of replaying time isn't exactly a new one it is well executed in terms of this particular story. Acting was great all around as well. The Twilight Zone should be in good hands with Jordan Peele.
The Twilight Zone: The Comedian (2019)
Okay, if not perfect start
The plot definitely felt like something out of the Twilight Zone, but it was a little drawn out. It didn't quite have the same atmosphere as the old show, but it did have a sort of unsettling vibe to it, so that was fine. When I initially heard this was going to be a TV-MA show I was a little disappointed because the Twilight Zone has never been like that, but it kind of worked considering the theme and characters of the story. I can understand why a lot of people are disappointed in this, but I don't see how it's worse than any of the other reboots of the show that have been made; how is this show rated lower than the 2002 series? Overall, it's an okay start and I hope that it will only get better from here.
