Amazing first two and half seasons, but Central arc ruined the show
14 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I just finished binge watching the whole show on Netflix. I have to say, the first two seasons of the show were gems. And the third season starts off well with the festival arc, but once Central arc began this show started to fall down and when eizan rigged the food wars, this show hit Rock bottom. I wanted Soma to become first seat on elite ten, but not like this. I wanted him to grow and best the first seat to become one and that would've been the most logical reasoning. Instead they chose to go with rebels vs Central team food wars. The fifth and final season was a last nail on the coffin and the ending (finale) had zero impact on me. So many loose ends at the end. The reason I'm giving it a six is because the first 2 and half seasons are amazing. The first arc where soma mingles with everyone, then the training camp, internship arc, Autumn food wars and the summer festival arc (sorry if I'm naming them wrong) were so good that I finished them in 2 days. But I had to take 3 weeks to finish the remaining show. Biggest reason: Central arc which is very long and meaningless.

Detective Conan (1996– )

Long-running show for a reason
18 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I've seen 50 episodes as of today and I finished them in two days and am still interested in finishing and catching up with new episodes despite having 900+ episodes. Every single episode is like a breath of fresh air with new and interesting cases. Not one case is repetative (though they retelecasted few episodes by remastering them in animation and clarity, but they're very few in number and they serve as fillers). Comedy, suspense and emotions are in the right ratio. I normally decide if I can watch a show or not within a few episodes and many disappoint me, but this show isn't one of them. Even the cases from 1996 seem so new and unique.

My only negative with this show is that (spoilers ahead) Ran still has no idea about Conan's real identity even after 24 years. This is my only problem, though she gets suspicious of him at places, no confirmation on it yet. So cutting a star.

Overall definitely a detective show which is worth a watch.

Potential GOAT Anime
28 August 2020
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba has what takes to be one of the greatest horror action Anime ever. Story, animation, action, background score, every single department of this Anime is just Mind-blowing. Character building is done so well. Here the characters take their time to recover from battles, unlike other animes where they just say it off. Can't wait for the movie Mugen train after watching this Anime. My rating: 9.5/10

Could've been the best, but just falls short...
29 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This series would've easily been THE BEST COMEDY SERIES ever but the final season ruined it. Except for the last two episodes, AARM and Finale, the last season was so cringy.

(Spoiler warning) It all started from the S08 episode "Get The Girl". From that episode the downfall began. So many filter episodes, so many unwanted sequences, which ultimately meant nothing and were of no use. Especially I was so angry when Erin decides to break up with Andy despite that guy having done so much and sacrificing so much for her. Why bring in a love story if you decide to break it up in the end. Another cringy stuff was Brian (the mic guy) and Pam's relationship. Why would anyone think of bringing that into the picture.

But despite all these things, the show stood tall overall. The Oscar and Angela's awkward relation with Senator, Michael's growth as a person, Pam and Jim's love story, character development of Dwight (I especially loved how one instance changes a human), Andy's struggles and many more such things is what made me love this show. The finale was just an icing on the cake.

After having seen Friends, HIMYM, TBBT, Brooklyn 99, I can say that this stands very close to being the best, but Friends will still be the best.

The right blend of fresh concept with traditional horror
24 September 2019
As said in the heading, this movie is a fresh conceptual thriller, but filled with traditional Horror scenes. Story: (No spoilers) A group of paranormal investigators go to investigate a bungalow. What happens later is the story. Acting: All amateur actors with only Kabir Duhan Singh and Atul Kulkarni being the experienced actors. Everyone were good in their roles. Technical: The biggest and the best thing about the movie is the screenplay. Excellent non linear screenplay. Many try it but only few succeed in it. BGM is another plus point of the movie. Direction was very good. Excellent story. Crisp runtime is like the icing on the cake.

Plus: Screenplay BGM Story

Minus: Climax because it's filled with cliched scenes.

Final: Definitely a must watch for horror lovers and people who like screenplay based movies.

Excellent writing meets feel good series
31 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I just finished the first season of God Friended me and I was just blown away with the quality of the script. Apart from being a really well written series, this series also gives a few messages to the society. God works in mysterious ways, well, very much mysterious here:p

Plus: Excellent scripting Good Acting The message

Minus: The love story of the main lead is the only road block since it normally throws us off the actual storyline.

Overall: A very good series which is definitely worth your time.

Creepy, creepy, creepy, mind-blown...
24 June 2019
The heading is how u feel throughout the film. Instead of writing a long review, I'll say in simple words. This is a very good movie and I DID NOT see that climax coming. The best twist ever. Acting is excellent and cinematography is worth a mention.

Worth a watch
28 April 2019
The curse of La Llorona is not a jump scare fest. The storyline is similar to all horror movie. The difference is adapting a folktale to a movie is difficult and it's a job well done here. It has a few jump scares(For those who watch horror movies just for the sake of jumping) and it has a lot of creepy moments. It's not a perfect movie. It has its plot holes, but it is a appreciable effort.

The best horror TV series I've seen
18 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
In simple this is the best horror TV series which I've seen. The plot is crazy. What I liked the most was there are episodes which show the story in the characters' perception. The twist of fifth episode was crazy. The long shot filled sixth episode was very good. The climax was very much apt. Overall a must watch TV series.

The Nun (2018)
9/10
A scare filled roller coaster
7 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Well I have to say... This movie freaked me out. I'll go step by step

Story: Father Burke and Sister Irene go to investigate a suicide at the Abbey. What happens in their investigation forms the storyline.

Acting: Teissa fermiga was good. Demian Bichir was good. But the best was Jonas Bloquet. He stole the show and Bonnie Aarons as the Nun scares you very much.

Technical: Corin Hardy's direction was very good. Music by Abel is still haunting me. The cinematography was a highlight. Editing was crisp. I do have some problems about a few scenes (things) in the movie like a shotgun can stop a ghost? It didn't make sense to me, but hey, it's a horror movie, and as long as it's scary I don't care. So they were negligible.

Plus points: Acting, directions, music, jump-scares and the climax link to The conjuring movie was amazing.

Minus points: Too much comedy scenes in between, it kind of spoils the mood. One or two to give a relief is fine but not too many, which is the case here.

My final verdict: Go watch this movie if u want to be scared, scared and scared.

My rating: 9/10

High on Patriotism
15 August 2017
This movie is the first movie i felt like writing the review, for one simple reason is that i loved it like never before. Many patriotic movies have come till date but this one stands out because its completely set underwater. Acting, direction everything is perfect, except for the vfx. Though this movie doesn't show the exact event, this movie holds up patriotism to a very high level.
