Peaky Blinders (2013)
Gritty Gangster Drama with complex Family situation like Sopranos
Peaky Blinders isn't short on style. The cinematography is sharp, the costumes are impeccably tailored, and the soundtrack is a modern twist on a period piece. But for all its swagger, the show sometimes struggles to distinguish itself.
Cillian Murphy delivers a compelling performance as Thomas Shelby, the cunning and ruthless leader of the Peaky Blinders gang in post-WWI Birmingham. Tommy's ambition to rise above his criminal roots is undeniable, but his methods are brutal, mirroring the violence that haunts him. Here's where the comparisons to Tony Soprano come in. Both characters grapple with the weight of their actions, yearning for a legitimate life while being tethered to their criminal pasts.
The supporting cast is strong, with characters like Arthur Shelby (Tommy's volatile brother) and Polly Gray (the shrewd matriarch) adding depth to the story. However, the plot itself can meander at times, with Shelby facing off against various adversaries without a clear sense of overarching goal.
If you're looking for a gripping gangster drama with a complex lead, Peaky Blinders is worth checking out. Just be prepared for a show that occasionally feels more concerned with looking cool than offering a fresh take on the genre.
Jailer (2023)
Lot of Vikram, Indian, Doctor mix
Decent film from Rajni after a long time. But this feels like Nelson got inspired by too much of Vikram & Indian.
But this will be a good one for Rajni fans. Mass commercial movie. Yogi could have done little more. Way too many sharp shooters and way little logic in many places.
Anyone Could guess many next scenes in the prior scene. So Nelson is losing some of his surprise touch / factor in this one. Especially for a Rajni movie - this is little lame. Nelson we expected little more from you sir.
Can't remember a better movie than Sivaji for Rajni in the last few decades. This tries to come closer but not close enough sadly. Still easily 2nd best movie for Rajni after Sivaji tbh. But a very distant second IMO.
Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga (2013)
Deep life lesson
This movie starts & continues like a goofy, funny comedy. But in the last few minutes the story takes a turn and pretty much encapsulates the story of the most of the middle working class families' life lesson. Kudos to the director & actors for this great movie.

World needs this
People please understand this. Love is God is simple. Awesome movie to watch & learn the meaning of life. Kamal, Maddy, Nasar all provide exceptional experience in this worldie. Everyone should see this movie.
Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal (2022)
Flawed concept
It was BAD in Autograph. It is way worse in this. HTH one man can do this to multiple woman. Can we even imagine one woman doing this to multiple men and glorifying that as a movie FHS? Stop it please. Better actors wasted in this travesty.

Less logic More magic
Really this connects at a different level. Good try from the makers & Sandal sir. All around good performances. Comedic scenes are ok. Great concept & greater message from this movie.
Bharat Ane Nenu (2018)
Poor poorperson's immitation of Mudhalvan!
Very poor, poorperson's immitation of epic Mudhalvan. What a waste of time & resource on this one.
Puriyaadha Pudhir (2017)
Good End & Message. Not so good screenplay
Very good closing message and great Climax. However, Logic goes awry in many places. Would have expected better screenplay especially the film lacks proper thrills & spills. Supporting cast is just OK. Very predictable way in which the story line moves. Missing the masala ingredients of Tamil films too.
