Which Brings Me to You (2023)
Okay movie. Better than averge netflix rom-com.
The leads met at the wedding and spent the time together talking about their past relationships.
The movie has a heart but it would have worked if they had made the story a little better. Not some of the trash that Netflix pumps regularly. But the story becomes more unbelievable as the time goes on. I can handle some improbable things but it becomes ridiculous if overdone. They spend the whole movie talking with each other. The chemistry between them is somewhat lacking. The movie rests solely on the two leads which makes the chemistry between them everything. This is good for a casual watch. But can't recommend it to anyone who is not a rom-com fanatic.
Heart of Stone (2023)
Another in a long line of forgettable netflix action movie.
Another failed attempt by Netflix to create a spy action franchise. This film fails your average Netflix action bar which is already filled with movies like 6 Underground, Grey Man, and Red Notice. The characters are forgettable with no standout performance, the story goes nowhere and Gal Gadot delivers one of the worst acts of her career. I didn't like the red notice but this movie is so much worse. The character motivation isn't fleshed out, the lore isn't even barely explained and the action sequences lack any impact. This is an attempt to copy The Kingsmen while failing spectacularly. You should just skip this trash film.
Threesome (2021)
Rated 10 due to it being underrated. But its an 8.
The show is an unexpected find. The name of the show is misleading. Bad marketing perhaps? It's a very realistic drama between high school sweethearts who have been in a perfect relationship for 7 years. The relationship tumbles downward when they have a threesome at the girl's insistence (Siri) with Camille. The boy (David) though reluctant at first agrees to it. Siri regrets the threesome the next day. She refuses to talk about it and after some time begans blaming David for the whole thing even though it was mutual consent. She starts a relationship with another guy. David sensing something wrong ask her if she has been cheating which Siri vehemently denies and breaks off John. Things come to a screeching halt when at a party Siri sees John who she has feelings for but can't commit due to her still being in love with David. The series ends when David sees the texts from John confirming his worst fears.
The show is miles ahead of similar theme tv shows with little budget. The chemistry between the two leads is great.
I hope the next season will be about Siri and David breaking up. Even though they share a long history with a perfect relationship they can't continue after Siri's gaslighting by blaming David for threesome which she initiates and then having an affair with John all the while ignoring any conversation about the relationship till the point at which nothing can be salvaged. The season 2 should focus on David.
